Lyrical's POV
I walk upstairs really upset. I mean can you blame me he kisses me hugs me acts like we are practically dating and then he asks someone else to prom. I wasn't gonna go unless he asked me but now I'm definitely not going.
I walk in our room and sit on the bed thinking. Until someone knocked on the door. I didn't feel like speaking but I still told them to come in anyways.
"Lyrical?? You okay?" Honesty asked peeking her head into the room then walking in and right behind her is Thena and Jen. I sighed and shrugged
"I'm new to this whole feelings and liking someone... no one has ever liked me or showed interest in me so when Ryder did I just got hooked too fast" I say with tears In my eyes but not letting them come out.
"Lyrical is natural for someone who hasn't had a boyfriend or a partner to get hooked by even the slightest of affection towards you" Athena said with sad eyes
"Um what do you mean partner?" I say confused bit understanding
"Oh sorry I only say partner because I'm Bi and I don't know if other people are and I don't want to offend people" she says laughing
Wait- WHAT!?!
"Your bi?!" Honesty and I ask shocked
"Yes you guys didn't know" she laughs we shake our head no "oh you guys aren't homophobic are you?"
"Of course not I support the LGBTQ community" Honesty says smiling at her and I nod my head agreeing
"Oh thank god now back to you Lyrical... I have a feeling I know who Ryder asked to prom" she says and I just lower my head not even wanting to talk about it anymore
"Me too... I think it's Ashley" Jenna said after the name fell out of her mouth it was dead silence. Both Athena and Honesty looked at Jen "what?"
"I thought it was Mariah" Honesty says
"I thought is way Lucy" Athena says
I look at them confused with all the names coming out their mouths "um who are all these people?" I ask now really confused
"Uhh these are all the um girls that Ryder... slept with" Honesty says muttering the last part. I looked at her with wide eyes like she grown another head
"Wait you weren't lying when you said he had one night stands with girls and left them the next day" I say sadly. She shakes her head no with sad eyes "then why did you guys say those names in particular?"
"I say Mariah because even though he had a sex with her once he somewhat acted like he cared for her" Honesty says, I look down and nod
"I picked Lucy because he kept going back to her every now and then she wasn't just another unknown girl like the rest" Athena said shrugging
"Okay then why did you pick um Ashley I think it was?" I ask unsure
"I picked her because even though it was supposed to be only one night he kept going back to her almost every week he even let her on his motorcycle" Jen says nodding
Wait he has a motorcycle?
"Oh okay well we will just have to wait and see u will go dress shopping with you guys on Sunday but I'm gonna leave early to look for a job" I say standing up getting ready to leave
"What no way your never gonna be able to find a dress with half the time of being there" Jen says pushing me back down on the bed before I could leave
"Great because I don't need a dress... because I'm not going to prom" I say standing back up
"What of course your going we aren't letting you stay here by yourself" Athena said gently pushing me back down
"Fine then Jax and I will stay here and watch movies like we used to" I say standing up only to get pushed back down.
"No your going to prom one way or another I don't care" Honesty says smiling
"I don't even have a date and I'm pretty sure no one's going to want to go with me" I say sadly not even bothering to get up again
"We'll see" She says with a smirk
"Ouuu that looks like your evil thinking faces let's her it" Jenna says sitting up closer
"Yeah let's hear this plan I'm all ears" Athen says doing the same thing
"Okay so the fair opens Saturday right??" She says and they nod "okay so I'm pretty sure almost everyone from school is gonna be there in the first day which also means guys from our school which means your gonna wear something cute and Sexy to get their attention"
I sigh "I don't know what if they realize it me the mute girl from school" I say confused
"Then even better they will realize your major glow up and approach you even more and if they don't notice you even better because then it's like your starting of braced new of course still be yourself but you know" Honesty says
"That is a perfect plan" Athena says smiling eagerly showing off her light blue braces
"What I'm not done" Honesty smirks at all of us
"More!?!?" I asked with wide eyes
"Yes more, okay so after that guys will obviously remembered so on Sunday when we go dress shopping we will obviously have to stop at the mall wear a lot of people from our school go every weekend and that means more guys which also means you have to wear something cute and sexy again and they will be checking you out... thennnn when we go to school Monday guys will recognize her and try talking to her and BOOM by Tuesday you should have a date"
"Oh god you guys aren't gonna let me get out of this are you" I ask rubbing my temple
"Nope! and that is a great plan" Jenna says give a high five to Honest "so no backing down"
"Wait why do I need a date anyways" I say looking at all three of them
"Well obviously so that Ryder can see you have other options and he can come crawling back to you" Athena says evilly which honestly scares me because she is the sweet one.
"Guys I don't think that's right if he doesn't want me he doesn't eat me I can't make him want me" I say sighing
"But Lyric that's the thing... he does wan you he just doesn't know how to show it I mean he had never had an actual girlfriend before this is new to him as well" Jen says shocked herself
"Wait what hw hasn't that is REALLY surprising" I say really shocked
"I know but believe ever sense I've known him he was always a player and then when we got to high school he got into smoking and sex and he was heartless of course he was never like that around me and Jen he was super cool around us that's why we are friends with him we met him the same time the twins did it's just we more hung out with the twins then with him until like a year and a half ago" Athena says
"He smokes and stuff??" I say sort of disgusted by the thought
"Not anymore.... Lyrical you might not believe me when I say this but you sort of changed him he stopped smoking and drinking and doing one night stands.. and if you ask me it's sort of like he stopped for you" Honesty says smiling at me
"... yeah your right I don't believe that it" I say laughing they laughed too and shook their heads
"Come on our plan will work I promise now let's get out there before they think we've killed you" Jen says laughing
We walk out and go into the kitchen where they all were. I sat down and put in my earphones listening to music. I let everyone speak to each other but I just put my head down a bit tired.
I went back upstairs and got in bed I laid there for a while before finally falling asleep.
I woke up an hour later to someone shaking me. I opened my eyes to see Riley I looked around and seen that the sun was still up but barely indicating it was almost sunset.
"We decided to all go to the store to get stuff for the house sense there is 9 people living in the house now and we didnt want to leave you here alone" he says stepping back.
I nod my head and grab my phone from my side. I put on a pair of my slides and grab a jacket and head down stairs with Riley. Once we reach the bottom everyone is walking out the door.
Jenna Justin and Honesty get in Riley's red Dodge Charger. Alex Athena and I got in Ryder's black Jeep truck.
How many cars does he have??
"A lot Angel" Ryder says looking at me through the rear view mirror.
What the hell he can read my mind!!
"No your just talking out loud" Alex laughs from the passenger seats which makes my cheeks turns a light shade of pink do to embarrassment.
"So Lyrical are you gonna come with us to get our nails done after school Monday?" Athena asks showing her nails to me
"No" I say plainly then look out the window
"What why not" she says pouting
"1 I just got my nails done a couple of days ago 2 i need to go find a job and 3 I don't even think I'm going" I say shrugging not really caring
"Welll 1 that night not be the color of your dress 2 you can do that that next weekend and 3 we still have our plan" she whispers the last part
"Hey hey hey no whispering no secrets what was it" Ryder says looking at us through the mirror with a slight glare
"None of your business" I muttered under my breath still looking out the window
He groans "ughhh fine Alex your girlfriend has secrets you can't have that in a relationship now can you" he smirks
"Babe you know it's just easier to tell him" Alex says to her turning around
It goes silent for a minute I don't hear speaking so I look up. Thena and Alex are staring intensely at each other like talking through their minds.
"Ryder I don't think we need to know what they said it's nothing" Alex smirks turning back around turning on the radio
"What!! She didn't even say anything" He says upset holding on to the wheel harder
"She doesn't need to plus why do you care" Alex says with a smirk looking at Ryder
"I don't I just it um" he stutters trying to find the words but couldn't. He turns up the radio drowning out the awkwardness
I know the song so I start humming it.

I continued humming the rest of the song as we pulled up to the grocery store. I got out and walked in ahead of everyone but I heard the talking.
"I'll go get the snacks" Justin said walking away with Jen holding her hand
"I'll get fruits vegetables" Athena says walking away with Alex behind her
"I will go get the small foods like pizza chicken nuggets stuff like that" Riley says walking away with his arm around Honesty
"Well I guess we can go get the sweets and stuff" Ryder says grabbing my hand but I pull away
"I'll go get cleaning supplies" I say turning around trying to get away from him as fast as possible but he grabs my hand again.
"We can get that after come on" he said still holding my hand so I yanked it away filling behind him about 3 feet.
We went down the pastry isle looking for cakes and cookies and stuff. So far we had 2 cakes 1 pie and 2 boxes and doughnuts. He was still putting stuff in the basket when I started to get bored.
"I'm gonna go look for cleaning supplies now so just come over when your done" I say walking away he gives me a head nod and goes back through the isles looking for whatever.
I brave my own small hand basket and start looking. I grab tissue, tooth paste, gloves, gain stuff like that for everyday needs. As I was reaching for the dish washing liquid I bumped into someone making it fall in the floor.
Shit I am such a clutz
"Oh my god I am so sorry I didn't see your there I should've looked" I say bending down too embarrassed to see who it is
"No no it's my fault really" the man says trying to pick it up
"No really it's m-" I looked up and my voice hitched. I dropped the basket. Memories started rushing back to my mind immediately giving me a headache.

"Daddy daddy daddy" I said running to my dad waiting by the car
"Hey Ly how was your first day of 1st grade" he says picking me up
"Amazing I didn't make many friends though"
"Is okay you have me.. forever and always"

"Daddy I'm 8 I should know how to ride a bike" I say pouting
"Then lets go I'll teach you" he says picking me up
"OUCH!!" I cried in the floor
"Lyrical are you okay baby?!?" My daddy says leaning down looking at my scraped knee
"No daddy it hurts" I say crying
"Hey look at me sometimes we fail but we always get back up and try again and most of the one we succeed so that's what your gonna do and your gonna what??" Says putting me back on my bike
"succeed" I say giving him a high five

"Lyrical do you want to hold your new baby brother" my dad says coming towards me
"But what if I drop him dad I'm only 9 I don't want to drop him" I say scared backing away
"Here sit in the chair and meet Jax" he gives me Jax and I hold him
"I'll protect you forever through anything" I whisper kissing him on his head

"Umm dad" I say nervously
"What's wrong Ly" he says getting up standing next to my 11 year old frame
"Umm I'm bleeding... there...am I gonna die!?" I say as tears come to my eyes
"Oh Lyrical you started your period everything's okay your not dying every girl has one" he says hugging me
"Really?" I say wiping my eyes
"Yes now go take a shower and I'll get you a pad" he says lightly kissing my forehead

"So... how do I look" I say spinning around in my navy blue dress
"My beautiful babygirl you look stunning" he says smiling at me
"Oh dad stop it... it's not my prom it's only my 8th grade dance" I say blushing pushing my hair behind my ears
"Yeah but your 13 and already in your teens and it's all new" he says hugging me
"Okay dad we I gotta get going" I say walking out the door
"Okay okay"

I was snapped out of my daze by someone lightly shaking me "Lyrical are you okay you zoned out are you alright" he backs up a step but still hold on to me
I shake my head with tears no streaming down my face "it can't be you it can't be... dad" I move my hands from out of his
"Yes...It is its really me Ly" he says smiling at me
"No no NO SHE SAID YOU WERE DEAD SHE TOLD US YOU DIED!! You left us I WAS MUTE FOR 3 almost 4 YEARS!!" I yell at him
"Lyrical what are you talking about" he says confused but I don't believe it because it could just easily be an act
"STAY AWAY FROM ME THIS IS YOUR" I didn't finish because I started crying I didn't see who it was because if all the tears in my eyes but they hugged me and calmed me down
"Justin can you take her really quick" Someone says
"Yeah dude" the other person says. My brain wasn't functioning correctly so all these names were giving me more headaches.
"Um honey what's going on here" a heard a female voice say
"Nothing nothing go to the car"
I was still crying but not as much. My eyes started to get really heavy and then sleep took over my body.
I woke to being carried inside the room. The person laid me down on the bed And put a cover over me. They sat down on the bed next to me but I was too tired to open my eyes.
"I know your sleeping which is most likely the only way I have the balls to ask because I know your already upset with me and I don't want to make you more upset" by the voice I knew it was Ryder
"Who was that guy he looked like you and Jax... so I'm guessing your father... he pulled me back after I picked you up... I gave you to Justin and ran to him.. he said he didn't know who I was but he gave me his number and said you can call when you feel comfortable" he said calmly
"I hope it can forgive me one day I know there is a lot going on so I won't push it I just hope you can forgive me" he gets up about to leave but I stop him
"Ryder" I whispered but loud enough for him to hear me
He quickly turned around and stared at me "did you hear all of that" I nodded my head
"He is my dad it was just i was so shocked and overwhelmed to see him because my mother told us he died she didn't say how she just said he was dead so seeing him brought back so many memories" I responded letting out a heavy sigh
"It's okay I completely understand ummm here" he said giving me a piece of paper. I looked at it and it had a number on it with "call me when your ready Ly"
"I'm guessing this is his number" I say throwing it on my desk standing up, he nodded "can I ask you something"
"Shoot" he said as we walked out of my room
"I heard a women's voice and my dad respond to her...who is she?" I say looking up at him. He scratched the back of his neck nervously
"Umm I-I don't know" he said not looking at me. I knew he was lying but I didn't push it.
We walked into the kitchen to see everyone just talking it on their phones. I saw Honesty and Riley sucking faces in the corner. I wonder if they are dating.
"Hey Riley Honesty... are you guys dating?" I ask very curious
They finally broke apart realizing everyone was now staring at them. Riley wipes his lip with his thumb and looks at Honesty who was already looking at him.
"I don't know... are we?" she asks him crossing her arms looking at him
He nervously chuckles "does that really matter right now" he throws his arm around her shoulder but she shrugs it off
"Yes it does matter you never asked me out... you just kissed me now that I think about" she narrows her eyes at him
"No it doesn't matter and that's basically the same thing" he says shrugging pushing his hands in his pockets
"Why are you acting this way I told you how long I have like you for and all you had did was kiss me do you jut want to use me for a good kiss everyday? Do you even want to be with me!?!" She yells at him as he just looks down
She scoffs and walks away "Honesty Wait" I say about to go to her but someone stopped me
"Angel maybe you should leave her alone" Ryder says looking at me
"No... I know how it feels... and my name is Lyrical" I say tanking my arm out of his.
I ran to her... "Honesty are you okay??" I say softly touching her arm
"No" she takes a deep breathe trying not to cry "who does that he acts like he is my boyfriend and always kissing me and then turns around and says that"
"It's okay to cry Honesty you don't always have to be strong it's okay" I say and she immediately starts crying as I hug her
"I have liked him for a while and he just put me in this daze that made it seem like we were together and it hurts to hear him say that" she says as one more year comes down her face
"Remind you of someone?" I give her a small smile
She sighs and wipes her eyes "what are we gonna do about it"
"Did Riley think you guys were going to prom together?" I ask with a slight smirk on my face
She nods "yeah but what about it"
"Did he ask or just assume"
"Just assumed" she said and then that's when I full on smirked
"You know the plan we had for me... we are gonna do it for you sense he never asked and then we can show both Riley and Ryder that we have other options" I say looking at her
"That is perfect!!" She says smiling
"We got this but let's add something to it...ignore them not like deliberately but like if we go places girls in one car guys in the other I'd they ask something ask someone else something you get it" I say as we slowly walk back
"Yeah I get okay we got this" She gives me a high five as we walked back out and everyone was still where they were but the tension In the air was thick
"Hey Honesty can we-" Riley says but she cut him off
"Actually I'm gonna help cook dinner with Lyrical" she says turning around. I seen his cheeks turn a light pink as he turned around and walked away
"Okay then we are cooking spaghetti with garlic bread" I say taking out the ingredients as she starts boiling water.
Once the food was done we made everyone's plate and watch as they ate it "WEL!??" Honesty yells making me jump
"It's great I always love Lyrical's cooking it's good fucking food man" Justin says with his mouth full making Jenna scrunch up her face in disgust
"Actually I let Honesty take over for me I just sort of coached her through it and cut up stuff" I say making Honesty an I a plate
"Wait You really cooked this"Athena says surprised
"Yep" She says punching the air
"You'll have to cook for me some time" Riley says eating the garlic bread. Honesty looked at him and looked away smiling at everyone else
"Okay guys after we are done we should go take showers and Go to sleep if we want to be at the carnival early before a lot of people come" Ryder says drinking his fruit punch
Everyone hummed an answer to into the food in front of them
