aubrey was the only daughter of a successful bakery owner and a firefighter. but when she was only a baby, her father died while saving a family for a fire. she never really knew him but her mother was crushed. she spent a lot of time at her grandparent's during this time as it was hard for her mother, erika, to take care of aubrey while also handling herself. but she was still the light of erika's life and for the most part, she raised her all on her own.
for most of her life, aubrey was known as the innocent school sweetheart. she was always the first to offer to help people and wouldn't hurt a fly. one day, she began dating a guy a year older than her and things seemed fine at first. but when he started telling everyone they slept together, that's when everything in her perfect little bubble came crashing down.

people quickly jumped on the bandwagon of slutshaming her, mostly because she didn't know how to retaliate. because aubrey had always been so innocent people found it hilarious that a guy like the person she'd been dating had slept with her. she broke up with him instantly. upset and mortified, she made the terrible mistake of going to a party and sleeping with a random guy. that guy turned around and told everyone, which only increased the torment, especially because word hadn't yet spread that her and her boyfriend had broken up. now not only was she supposedly a slut, but a cheater. people started to use aubrey as a scapegoat when they wanted to brag about having sex. and everyone always believed the stories and never went to her for verification. when the whole 'slut' thing hit its worst point is when she decided to go to a party yet again. at that party, a guy attempted to come onto her even though she said she wasn't interested. things progressed from there as they weren't around any witnesses as he attempted to force himself onto her. he claimed that she must like it considering she'd slept with so many other people. she managed to knee him in the groin and escape, but the next day at school, he'd told everyone they'd slept together.

after having enough one day, aubrey was in the old bathroom crying. the door suddenly opened and there stood maeve wiley and aimee gibbs. the three have been very close ever since then as they invited her to start hanging out with them in there. nowadays, she's almost always with either her childhood friend nick or maeve as she's less likely to be called out by people with either of them there to fight back. the slut shaming hasn't stopped for aubrey, but she's learned to cope with it and doesn't let it affect her as much anymore.
