In the 1970s; women, African Americans, Native Americans, gays and lesbians and other marginalized people continued to fight for equality as Americans joined the protest against the ongoing war in Vietnam. The 1977 blackout in Manhattan, NY. The new sound with R&B and Rock n' Roll fusion into Disco rocketing into the charts along with the disco nightspots such as Studio 54 and TV shows like; Charlie's Angels, the Brady Bunch, the Love Boat, Soul Train, Welcome Back Kotter, Good Times, Maude, M*A*S*H, What's Happening, the Jefferson's, All In the Family, the Mary Tyler Moore show, Sanford & Son, and variety shows. Movies like; Carrie, Saturday Night Fever, Grease, the Exorcist, Car Wash, Charlotte's Web, Cooley High, American Graffiti, the Wiz, Lady Sings the Blues, and Star Wars.

Means Be at the party or place or be boring.

Bear or Smokey
Since they wore the standard uniform with a "Smokey the Bear" hat, mobile police officers were referred to as "Smokey Bears" or, as it was quickly shortened to, "Smokies",a "smokey" or "Bear(s)". As time went on the term naturally got picked up and applied to any mobile law officer or any officer in general. The movies were quick to pick up on this slang and popularized it in the movie Smokey and the Bandit.

To hog something. Like, "Hey man, don't Bogart that smoke. Pass it down!"

Bad, like "That food was really bogue tonight.

Bogus!
Dang it! To be annoyed with something. Also means fake.

Bomb
adj. to be hip, cool. ex. That guy has a bomb Chevelle.

Bomb Dude
that's sweet. Awesome, something very cool.

Boob Tube
Television, TV

Boogie
to get your groove on; to dance.

Book
To leave or move in a hurry. "I've gotta book. I'll catch you later"

Boss!
Cool; awesome

'Bogue'
Used to describe something offensive or an unrealistic idea.

Brawl
To engage in a heavy fight, often to the death.

Money; Cash. "Do you have any bread?"

Brick House
When someone is well built. i.e. The Commodores' song.

Mate, buddy, good friend

Physically well built.

Meant something freaked you out or "what a trip", how wild.

Low quality stash or anything felt to be cheap or untrue.
