(Jack's POV)

'We told you not to go racin in there and to wait until we had a propa plan! But did ya listen? NO! Your disobedience could have gotten all of us and the girl killed!' Bunny yelled pacing back and forth waving his boomerang at me.
'Hey! Bunny calm down. She was in trouble, what did you expect I would do? Huh? Just wait and see if we should go and help? Come on!' I didn't like the tone he was using but I chose to do the mature thing and keep my cool, not letting my temper get the better of me, unlike Bunnymund.
'Why The Man in the Moon would pick you, of all people, to protect the sixth Guardian! You're too reckless!' He continued.
'Hey!' I yelled, now losing my temper. That last statement really ticked me off.
How dare he say I'm reckless! I am not reckless. Just because I like getting into trouble, doesn't mean I'm reckless. The Man in the Moon chose me to protect her, I have to trust him and believe that for whatever reason he has for picking me over North, Tooth Sandy and even Bunny it has to be important.
'If I had done what you had told me to do and waited for longer than I already had, she would be dead right now!' While yelling back, I pointed my staff at him. My hands were gripping it so hard my already pale skin was turning even more sickly white.
'I did what I had to do! What was right!' My anger had gotten the better of me and I could feel my powers slipping out of my tight grasp. A layer of ice and frost was starting to form around my feet and all the nearby trees and shrubs that had just thawed from the fight, started to freeze over again.
'Jack.' Romanna spoke with a soft and calm voice. Placing her hand on my shoulder forcing me to calm down.
'It's ok, you guys don't need to fight. I'm fine now. I don't know why you're all so worried but, I thank you anyway.' She said nodding to us and smiling. I lowered my staff and as I did the ice stopped growing and quickly melted into the dry, thirsty earth.
Normaly when I lose control over my powers, no one is able to calm me down. Tooth, North, Sandy and Bunny all just back off and let me cool down on my own for a while.
Although, I only ever get angry because of Bunny. Sometimes I just can't stand him! He's usually always the one to start the fight... Usually.
I would only start one either because I'm bored or he's purposely ignoring me to make me angry so when a fight does break out and North has to restrain the both of us, he can say that I started it! And he calls Me the child! Maybe it's about time he stopped telling me to grow up and stop acting like a child, and grew up himself!
'Bunny!' Tooth shouted with a stern voice drawing all attention off me and onto her.
'What!' Bunny snapped, looking back at her. She shot a glare at him that was so deadly, terrifying Bunny's ears instantly dropped and flattened against the back of his head. I think we all took a step or two away from her.
Yeah Tooth might seem small and weak but don't underestimate her. She is a decedent of the most fearsome worrier women known to earth! I wouldn't be surprised if she was the strongest out of all of us Guardians. A word of warning, don't get on Toothiana's bad side. Just ask Pitch and the adult tooth she punched out.
After seeing Bunny's reaction she let out a small sigh and rolled her eyes and the terrified Pooka realising she had over done it, just a little.
'I think this is all just one big mistake. Jack only did what he thought was the right thing to do. He made the right choice by ignoring our order.' Tooth said defending me.
'Yes! Bunny, Tooth is right. We had to think quickly and Jack seemed to be the only one capable of doing that in a crisis. Either way he still saved her life. A rescue is a rescue just as long as no one got seriously hurt. Which no one was.' North said also defending me.
'How about this, Jack. Next time please warn us before you randomly jump off the sleigh without a word and fire Ice Lighting like that. Ok?' Tooth asked softly and flying over to me.
'Oh and Bunnymund?' Tooth asked sweetly turning back to face the rather annoyed Pooka.
'Don't you DARE shout at me like that ever again!' She suddenly yelled. Her bright magenta eyes narrowed while burning holes in Bunny's skull.
Tooth's sudden outburst caught all of us off guard and I almost felt sorry for Bunny who was the target.
'Sorry about that, you know you're not the one I'm angry with. It's Frostbite's falt and I shouldn't have taken it out on you.' Bunny said and stood tall once again. Tooth flashed a cheesy wide grin at him, satisfied with his response and turned back to me.
'What! My falt! Why are you even angry with me? I did nothing wrong and stop calling me Frostbite you overgrown Kangaroo!' I slyly yelled back.
'Oi! Watch it mate! I'm already pissed with you, don't make me mor-' Bunny's rebuttal was cut short when a new voice joined the argument.
'Kangaroo? What in the world makes you think he looks like a roo? He's obviously some kind of rabbit or bunny or somethin else entirely, but definitely not a kangaroo.' Romanna said sounding absolutely dumbfounded at the fact Bunny was just called a kangaroo.
'That over there, that's a roo.' She said pointing out to her left at the animals who were lazily lying under a tall tree. Suddenly startled by some ice that had melted off the tree's branches they quickly jumped away.
'Yes! Thank you Manny! Finaly someone on my side!' Bunny said excitedly gesturing his hands at the cloudless blue sky. Tooth couldn't help but giggle and North was booming with laughter. Mostly caused by surprised look on my face.
Nooo she's siding with Bunny! Why! You did this to me on purpose didn't you Manny!
'Thank you' Tooth said smiling at Romanna who still had her hand on my shoulder.
Tooth was grateful that Romanna changed the subject and stopped another fight before it broke out, but in doing so she made me slightly more annoyed.
Little did Romanna know but she was the only thing that was stopping me from lashing out at Bunny. She was keeping me clam and stopping me from making everything freeze over again. Although everything was still cold and half frozen anyway.
Romanna nodded her head and smiled back politely, happy that what she was doing was good.
Poor girl, she must be so confused. Not knowing what is happening or who's side she should be on. If I was her I would be freaking out about almost being killed and now having strange people, who she doesn't know, fight about her.
I don't know what it was about her but as soon as her hand touched my shoulder, it was as if my powers had turned off. I was still angry as hell but I wasn't losing control. I think she was my anchor.
North was telling me that in order to control my powers better I needed to learn how to turn them off when I am angry or upset. That way I can't lose control and accidentally hurt people.
Like that blizzard on Easter in 1968. The one Bunny won't ever let me forget or forgive me for.
North said an anchor can be anything that has some sort of personal meaning. It could be anything from items like my staff or hoodie, to people like Jamie, Sophie or even Babytooth. Hell even my own element, ice and snow was a candidate, but nothing seemed to work. Until now. If Romanna was to take her hand off my shoulder, there would be an instant blizzard in the middle of summer and in the heart of Australia!
Bunny would murder me if that happened.
But that makes no sense. I've only just met the girl. I have no kind of bond with her. Could she really be my anchor?
Ok, I was calm for now but Bunny wasn't. He still isn't happy that I disobeyed him. Since when did I ever listen to him.
Now he's going to fight and yell until he thinks he has made his point and everyone agrees, and the fact that everyone is siding with me is only making him angrier.
What is his problem?! Why is he doing this? Why won't he just give up and admit he was wrong?! We have more important things to worry about.
'Ok, back to what I was saying before I was rudely interrupted.' Bunny said shooting Tooth a stern glance. She just rolled her eyes knowing she made him feel undermined, inferior and ignored. Now he feels the need to finish what he started.
'He saved 'er, yes. I'll give ya that, but only afta recklessly puttin her life in even more danger. You made those guys call for backup and open fire!' He yelled pointing towards the hunter's Ute that was driving away at high speed.
'I have no idea how you two managed to excape with only one scratch.' Bunny said pointing to the stiched up gash on my forehead and the clear open bleeding wound on Romanna's forehead.
Romanna looked up and over my left shoulder to see what Bunny was talking about, when I glanced back at her she gasped seeing the stiched up wound. She quickly touched her own and I winced when she did because the pain she felt was still hurting me.
'How is that...' She mumbled under her breath.
Now looking at her more clearly, I noticed the large amount of blood that was still running down the left side of her face. She needs medical attention and I am soo done with Bunny and this stupid argument. She is what is important and she was badly hurt.
I was too busy looking at Romanna and worrying about how hurt she was, I hadn't noticed Bunny was still talking. I had missed what the first bit of his sentence was, but the last few words hit me hard.
'You are Irresponsible, Reckless, Disobedient, Selfish, Inconsiderate, Out of Control, Teenager who only cares for his on well being! AM I RIGHT? Jackson Overland Frost!' He said pushing me away from Tooth and Romanna while knocking me over.
'Jack!' I heard Romanna yell. Tooth was restraining her from running over to help me by getting into Bunny's way. I'm glad Tooth was stopping her because Bunny had completely lost it and I don't want Romanna getting even more hurt.
'BUNNY!' Tooth exclaimed from where she was standing with Romanna. I have never seen Tooth so scared or Bunny this angry.
I know I might have done the wrong thing but couldn't he just forgive me, move on and be happy with the fact I saved her life!
'Bunny! This is it! You have gone too far this time!' North said while fiscally grabbing Bunny by his sash and pulling him away from me. Trying to stop a full out fist fight from starting. He sounded absolutely disgusted with how Bunny was acting.
'How DARE you call me by that name! I have been NOTHING but good to you Bunny!' I yelled while jumping up to my feet and grabbing my staff, which was on the ground next to me.
As soon as I gripped the wood in my fists it started to glow and freeze over. That was when I realised, Romanna wasn't standing next to me anymore. The anchor that was keeping me calm was now starting to panic. I have had enough of Bunny. It's time to end this!
Stupidly, without thinking I quickly swung my staff out in front of me and blasted sharp ice strait towards him. He managed to get out of North's killer grip and barley dodge it. He scrambled to his feet and threw a boomerang and three Egg Bombs at me.
'Jack! Bunny! Stop this fighting now!' North yelled while trying to break up the fight.
'Please! Just stop! You don't want to do this! You don't want to hurt each other!' Tooth begged. She was almost in tears. As much as a warrior Tooth is she still cares enough not to get evolved and to stay by Romanna.
Keeping her safe was the first priority, but don't think that means we are off the hook. I can imagine both Bunny and I will be punished massively when we get back to the North Pole. I am willing to do the time if it means Bunny is forced to do it with me!
Unfortunately unlike most of out fist fights Bunny had the advantage, this was Australia, his home and his element. It was uncomfortably hot and in order for me to win this fight I needed to have an advantage. I needed to be in my own element. The sun was slowly being blocked out by a mass of dark clouds and within an instant everything in sight was blanketed with a thick layer of snow.
I dodged two of the eggs but the third hit me, right in the chest and face. It burned like you wouldn't believe! The egg that hit me was mostly made of powered dye and something explosive that as it turns out, burns.
It felt like scolding water, pepper spray and a bullet mixed together. By now we all know how well I do with heat and this orange powder from hell was all over me! It had hit me right in the chest and had gotten into my hoodie. It was all down my chest, neck, arms and back. It's was also all over my face and in my eyes! Every inch of my skin felt like it was on fire!
'Crikey! Jack!' Bunny yelled from where he was standing. He had stopped in his tracks as soon as the egg hit me, knowing that the only egg out of the three that he threw had burning powder hit me. The other eggs had some kind of itching power and sleep powder. It's just my luck to be hit with the only one with the burning powder!
'Jack!' North and Tooth yelled rushing over to me. Sandy was floating next to Romanna to make sure she wouldn't go and do something stupid like bash up Bunny while Tooth was helping me. She seemed like the kind of person who would probably do that and win.
Romanna wants to help and it's obvious she's staring Bunny down, sizing him up and guessing whether she should do something or just stand there like a scared child. From what I saw in the gun fight she was tough and probably could take Bunny on, but I hope she will hold her ground. Though something was nagging in the back of my mind telling me otherwise.
Dropping my staff, I fell to my knees. Gritting my teeth hard as an attempt to stop myself from screaming out in pain. I know for a fact Tooth would be cringing knowing I was doing that to my teeth. By now I had sunken waist deep into the melting snow and the cold didn't seem to help ease the pain.
'Jack, mate I'm sorry. I didn't mean-' Bunny was cut off by Romanna yelling. Damn it! What is she doing?
I managed to open my eyes trying to ignore the burning powder to see Romanna with her bow up and loaded ready to fire at Bunny! Wasn't Sandy meant to be watching her?!
'Drop It!' She yelled for Bunny to drop the remanding Egg Bombs and the boomerang that he was still holding.
'I said Drop It!' She repeated harshly while waking slowly through the snow towards Bunny. He looked to be in complete shock and I could tell because his ears were pinned to the back of his head.
'Ok. I'm puttin ma weapons down.' He said slowly as he placed the egg bombs and boomerang onto the slush that used to be snow.
'Smart move' She said as soon as he stood back up, holding his hands above his head.
'I didn't mean to hurt him. He struck first, I was only tryin to defend ma'self. I didn't wanna get into a real fight. Mate-' Bunny said trying to explain how it was an accident and that he never wanted me to be hurt but Romanna wasn't lowering her bow.
'Oh goodness! It's all over him!' Tooth stuttered in a panic.
'Quick! Get his jumpa off!' Romanna yelled from over where she stood still aiming her bow at Bunny's face forcing him not to move.
North and Tooth quickly nodded kneeling down next to me. I would have taken my hoodie off myself, but it was full of burning powder and I would need to pull it up over my head to get it off. I do not want any more of that powder on my face and in my eyes! I'm in complete agony as it is and couldn't move at all.
Tooth grabbed the bottom of the blue material and held out away from my chest then North with one of his big swords cut my hoodie right up the middle. Tooth quickly ripped it off my shoulders and arms then tossed it behind her.
'That was my favourite and only shirt!' I managed to choke out before hitting the ground. I curled myself up into a ball lying in the snow, whimpering like a lost puppy.
'Holy Christmas Cookies! I didn't realise how much of the powder was inside your hoodie, Jack!' North exclaimed loudly as he quickly took off his coat and handed Tooth his hat as they attempted to rub some of the powder off my face and chest. It would have been hard since they couldn't touch my skin without getting burned themselves.
How ironic, it's normally the other way round.
'You're not gonna be able to keep that up for much longa. Isn't your arm gettin tired?' Bunny asked Romanna with an annoyed tone. Romanna was quite close to him now and he could clearly see and smell the blood on her face. He quickly became concerned and was glaring back and forth between her, the gash on her forehead and me.
'Hey, umm.... right, I don't know ya name but please, lowa your weapon. You've takin quite a bad knock to the head and ya need that taken care of. Oh and c'mon ya arm must be killin ya. What's the weight of that drawstring? Huh? 35- 40kg? A girl of your size couldn't keep that drawn back for more than a few seconds. You've had it held like that for a few minutes now, you're gonna strain and hurt ya'self. Do the smart thing, put it down.' Bunny told her but Romanna only glared back at him.
'I'm a lot stronga then I look.' She sneered back while moving her aim a little bit higher and firing the arrow. It missed the top of Bunny's head by an inch, and the arrow's head dug firmly into the rough bark of the tree that was behind Bunny. She quickly reloaded her bow and retook her aim. the
The statement Bunny made about her not being strong, made her really angry. She seemed more than happy to show us all she will not hesitate to fire again.
'Crikey! That coulda killed me!' Bunny yelled out.
'Oh, would not! The arrow was inches off!' Romanna complained with a sarcastic tone, while shaking her head and rolling her eyes. She had an amazing aim, I saw her in action when we were fighting those men. She only did that to shut Bunny up and scare him into respecting her. I couldn't help but to chuckle at the statement she had made though.
With that North stood and walked over to Bunny and Romanna.
