Jeon Jungkook's POV
I came to the bakery after I received almost hundreds of notifications from my mom today. To be exact; 47 missed calls where 15 of them were video calls, 40 Kakaotalk messages and another 8 from Line. All of that from my one and only...Eomma.
Once I got there, I walked straight to the cashier counter even though there was a customer going to make a payment there.
"Uh, excuse me, ma'am. Do you know where my eomma is right now?", I asked the one behind the cashier counter even though I did not see her face clearly.
But, she looked like she was so busy even though there was only one customer there is paying at that time.
"Um, hello. Do you hear me, ma'am?", I asked again as I waved my hand trying to get her attention on me for a while.
"Wait a minute, sir.", that was all she said which made me shook my head at her action.
"Here's your change. Thank you and come again next time.", I heard she said while I take a look at my phone.
"Yes, sir. How can I help you?", she asked while I texted my mom telling I have already come to the bakery.
"Do you know where's the bakery's owner a.k.a your big boss, ma'am?", I asked without looking at the staff of my mom's bakery.
"Oh...she...is at the back. I'll call her out for you.", I heard she said before I nodded quietly.
Park Chaeyoung's POV
I was a bit struggling today as two of our staffs did not come to work. We were left with only me, the manager who also bake, Yeji (the ambitious intern), and Lisa (my best friend who is also my assistant in the kitchen) to take care of the bakery for the day. Jackson (the loudmouth front assistant) and Somi (another aspiring assistant of mine) could not come due to personal reasons.
While I was busy with a customer who wanted to make a payment, I heard a voice calling me 'ma'am' which made me feel a bit angry. Did I look that old to you, mister? But I chose to ignore for a while as I assumed he can wait. When he called me again, I literally rolled my eyes as I gave the customer his change. Then, I asked how I could help to the person that kept calling me earlier.
"Do you know where's the bakery's owner a.k.a your big boss, ma'am?", I heard him asked and looked at his face which was slightly blocked by the glass display chiller beside the counter.
I looked at his face and recognised it which made me automatically put on my white mask covering my mouth.
"Oh...she...is at the back. I'll call her out for you.", I said before quickly walked away from there to go to the kitchen area.

Half an hour later...
Park Chaeyoung's POV
I really did not want to go out for the moment but then, Yeji told me that Mrs Lee wanted to see me outside. I asked if there is any customer outside and she said there are Mrs Lee and her son only before going to wash the dishes she cleaned up earlier. I sighed as I heard it and thought of why Mrs Lee wanted to see me when she is with her son, Jeon Jungkook. Yes, I know who he is but I did not know he is Mrs Lee's son.
When I got out to the front, I slowly go to the table occupied by her and Jeon Jungkook.
"Oh, there you are. Come here, Chaeyoung. Have a seat.", she said and I slowly sit next to her which is more like in the middle of both of them.
"Chaeyoung, open that mask. Can you?", she asked me in which I politely declined.
But she insisted because she said it is important. So, I did even though it felt weird for me. Then, I felt like I am being stared at and I slowly turned to my right where I see his face is just two or three inches away from mine.
"Annyeong.", he said which made me pushed myself back away from him.
Mrs Lee then, shouted his name in a slight anger. "Don't scare her like that, Jungkook!", she said as I carefully placed my glasses back.
"I'm just curious of her, eomma. Don't be angry with me.", he simply said to his mom.
As for me, I really just want to leave but I don't think it's right to do it in front of her.
"Chaeyoung, forgive me if my son startled you. He's just really like to play around.", Mrs Lee said to me.
Yes, he loves to play around. Play around with people's hearts. That is him, the Jeon Jungkook I know from the university. But I bet he does not recognize me or even know me.
"Chaeyoung, I'd like to introduce you to him. So...Jungkook, this is Park Chaeyoung. My most humble manager of this branch. Chaeyoung, meet my one and only son. Jeon Jungkook.", she suddenly introduced us to each other.
He showed a hand to shake but I just nodded in response. I did not mean to be rude but I just did it on reflex.
"Uh...nice to meet you, Park Chaeyoung.", he said before I heard the bell rang on the front door.
I looked at it and saw people coming in. That is my cue, so I stood up and excused myself as polite as I can to serve the customer that just came. Luckily, Mrs Lee let me go to serve the customer. If not, I did not know what else will happen next if I stay seated at the same table with them.
Jeon Jungkook's POV
After she left us to serve the customer, I looked at her quietly as my mind was thinking of something. When she has served the customer, she left to the kitchen and mom waved at me making me realized I forgot she was right in front of me.
"Oh, Jungkook-ah. I just introduced you to her and you already can't stop looking at her, huh?", mom said to me.
I brushed the back of my neck as I smiled at her. "Maybe I'm really a playboy like what you've heard, eomma.", I said with a grin.
"Oh, Jungkook. Please...don't tell me it's true. It hurts me, son.", she replied.
I chuckled at it before I said, "Then, why are you introducing me with her, your staff, eomma?"
She smiled brightly and said, "Because I know you'll love her. And even if it's true you're a playboy, I know you'll stop once you know her."
I narrowed my eyes at the words she said because it seemed to be impossible. Very impossible. I saw her just now and I did not like her at the first sight. Not at all.
"How can you be sure of that, eomma? You don't know the type of girl that I love.", I asked her.
"You'll love her because I love her, Jungkook. She's a very good worker, the best manager I have here and you'll not regret to know her.", she answered confidently making me laughed at it.
"How is being a good manager make her the choice to be the girl that I love, eomma?", I asked after that.
"Because eomma knows best, Kook. Eomma knows that you will fall for her sooner or later.", she said with a smile.
I chuckled again at her confidence in saying it and shook my head. Just if she knew what is going on in my mind...well. Actually my mind is thinking whether I have heard that name before this. Park Chaeyoung. It sounds familiar but I don't remember where I heard it.
