"Your majesty where are you going?" Damian, my chauffeur said as I got out of the carriage
"M gonna take a walk Damian, I owe myself to the people" i say as an excuse to breath pure air for at least once, as a royalty member they treat me like I'm made of glass, like if i can break if someone touches me, they also treat me like god, so.. a really fragile god, that doesn't work for me
"Enunciate Luke, and be careful"
"Yeah, yeah, bye" I said exiting the carriage and closing the door before he could argue even more
The horses left and I started walking around town, people making reverences and calling me majesty everywhere I go, it's hard to pay attention to the path when I'm saying hi to everyone
I got to the flea market where artists go to sell theirs works, I see jewelry, sculptures, and beautiful paintings
"How much for these paintings?" I ask to an old man and he points to the left, I turn my head and see a blonde guy around my age, pencils and brushes stucked in his messy hair, which is slightly splattered with different colors from the brush, he held a paint pallette in one hand and a paintbrush in the other, holding the tip of the brush between his teeth
He was completely focused in the white canvas on front of him, a black raven was drawn on it, it was gorgeous, the silky feathers, the shiny, black eyes, the deadly claws, so dark, so pure
"Excuse me, Sir?" I patted his shoulder and he stopped painting, he turned around, his pale features like a marble sculpture, his eyes greener than dad's esmeralds, and his lips as pink as the strawberries that grow on the fields
He was beautiful, people say is rare for a man to think another man as beautiful, but I've learned to appreciate the beauty of things, if you can perceive the beauty from banal stuff like birds and flowers, why can't you cherish the human beauty? especially from someone as naturally gorgeous as this boy
"How much for that painting?" I smiled
He quickly looked at me and then spoke "5 guilders" Not, 'your majesty' no reverence, that was all, so insolent, but different, i like to see people like him
I took the golden coins from my pocket and handed them to the blonde artist, he gave me the raven, took out another canvas, and proceed to make another painting, not paying attention to me or anyone else around us

"Lucas, the artist for your painting is here" Mother knocked on my door as i fixed the last button from my red (uncomfortable) suit
"I'll be right there mother" I said and walked through the palace's halls until I got to the main room, mom and dad were there, but what surprised me was the third person in the room, he was there, the street artist, a small smile in his face
"Your majesty" he says making a reverence, which disappoints me, he was the different one, but then, probably if he didn't mom and dad would've cut his head off
"Lucas, This is Michael Clifford, he'll be making your portrait" Father spoke
"Nice to meet you Michael" I smiled
"Nice to meet you, your highness"
"We'll leave you alone so you can discuss how you want the portrait" Mother smiled and she and dad left the room

i think this is bad... idk.. meh it's still chapter 1
if you watch Da Vinci's Demons you can imagine Michael's character a lot better
