People have always picked on me about my weight. It used to really get to me, but not anymore. I've learned to shut them and everyone else out to the point where it's hard to feel any emotion at all. At least they're teasing and bullying doesn't get me mad or upset anymore. People say there's something wrong with me, but I don't mind them either.
I've felt this way for a very long time that is until one day at a world meeting I met Arthur. I was walking through the halls trying to get to the meeting room when I bumped into him, "Sorry-" I said trying to apologize when he cut me off, "No, it's quite alright, love. I shouldn't have been standing in the middle of the hallway." He said sweetly. When he called me love, I couldn't help but feel kinda weird. It felt like there were butterflies in my stomach. I just shrug it off and continue on my way to the meeting when I see an empty chair with a nameplate with my name on it right next to a seat where a nameplate that said "England" was.
I sat down and waited for everyone else to eventually come and find their seats. Some time later, many countries came in the room and sat down and began arguing instantly before a tall, muscular guy with a German accent began yelling and then the room fell quiet. I listened to him drone on with his little speech and pretended to listen as everyone argued about pointless things. I eventually fell asleep halfway through the meeting. When I woke up later, I was alone. I got up from seat and adjusted my clothes before leaving.
As I was walking back through the halls I seen a little boy in a sailor outfit. I walked passed him as he ran up to me, "Hello!" He said loudly. "Hi." I said plainly. "What's your name? My name is Peter! And why are you kind of fat?" He said almost shouting. For once in a long time, it felt like my feelings were hurt. I hear footsteps behind me as I turn around. "Peter! How dare you tell a lady that?! She's a person and deserves respect! Why are you even here? I told you stay home!" Arthur said scolding him. Peter pouted and then ran off somewhere. "I'm quite sorry about him, love. He's quite immature, even for his age."
"It...It's fine." I said looking away from him. My eyes widened and I looked at him again as he took my hand in his. "I sat next to you in the meeting. You're pretty adorable when you sleep." He said blushing a bit. "T-Thanks..." I said quietly. "I hope I can see you at next week's meeting." He said. He gave me a quick kiss on the cheek before walking away. I blushed, "I hope I can see him again too." I thought to myself.
