Clarissa's POV
As it turned out the man with the starfish on his face turned out to be none other than Bootstrap Bill Turner who happened to be Will's Father .
I know Bootstrap wanted nothing more than to get Will off this ship and I know they planned for me to go with Will but I couldn't help but think that would just put us in a worse position than We're already in .
"Why did you take the lashes for me ?"
I turned to Will before replying
"Because I didn't want to see a friend get hurt any longer"
"Jones was hesitant"
"I know"
"Why?"
"I don't know"
"We need to get off this ship"
"What about your father ?"
"I will come back for him"
"And I don't doubt that but how do you plan on escaping"
"I'm trying to figure that out"
I rolled my eyes
"So your planning on escaping a legendary ship but you have no plan"
Will remained silent not knowing how to react so I continued
"That's a one way ticket to getting caught then a worse punishment also what about the Kraken?"
"The beast Gibbs told us of?"
"That's the one"
"What about it ?"
"Jones will send it looking for you"
"Me ? What about you ?"
"I'm not going with you I'm staying here"
"What? why would you do that ?"
"Maybe Jones won't be so angry if just one of us leaves"
"You won't let me persuade you otherwise will you?"
I shook my head as if to say no.

I watched as two crew mates played a game of liars dice only to hear from across the room .
"I challenge Davy Jones"
I instantly knew this was Will as he was the only one foolish enough to do so .
The loud tapping of Davy's crab leg could be heard from above us as could the crews laughter .
"I accept . The stakes ?"
"My soul . An eternity of servitude"
"Will don't be stupid"
I hissed whilst Bootstrap let out a 'No' .
"Against?"
"I want this"
Will then showed Jones the picture Jack gave him of the key to the chest which contained Davy Jones heart .
Jones face contorted to slight annoyance before he said
"How do you know of the key ?"
"That's not part of the game is it ? You can still walk away"
Jones slowly sat down opposite Will which showed he accepts Wills challenge . Jones pulled out the key from under his tentacles for everyone to see before putting it back under .
Bootstrap then too began to join in the game which only made Jones anger grow .
"What's this ?"
"I'm in with a matching wager . I bid three twos . It's your bid captain"
"Four fours"
The crew began chuckling some more .
"Four fives"
"Six threes"
"Seven fives"
"Eight fives"
Jones chuckled before saying the dreaded words
"Welcome to the crew lad"
"Twelve fives"
Bootstrap said too hurriedly before continuing
"Call me a liar up the bid"
"And be called a liar myself for my trouble ?"
Jones looked at Bootstrap's fives before slamming the cup down and saying
"Bootstrap Bill you're a liar and you will spend a eternity on this ship . Master Turner feel free to go ashore ... the very next time we make port"
The crew began roaring with laughter at this . What shocked me was what Will said next
"And what of Clarissa is she free to go ashore?"
"I can't remember her been any part of the challenge"
Jones sneered before leaving to go back to most likely his cabin .
"Will I've already told you I'm not going anywhere"
I whispered
Will said nothing at this but remained quiet .

"Captain says I've to relieve you . Captain's orders"
Bootstrap said to one of the crew who was extremely fishy looking .
I helped Bootstrap lower a rowing boat down to the sea for Will once he returns from Jones cabin with the key.
"Are you not going with Will lass ?"
"No I'm not"
"Why would you want to stay ere?"
"Jones will get more mad if we both leave"
"And what of it you would have left?"
Before I could answer Will returned and had the key around his neck .
"Here take this , get yourself to land and stay there it was always in my blood to die at sea . It was not a fate I ever wanted for you"
Bootstrap declared .
I watched as Bootstrap handed Will his knife .
"It's not a fate you ever had to choose for yourself either"
"I could say I did what I had too . I left you to go pirating but it would be a lie to say it wasn't what I wanted . You owe me nothing Will"
"They'll know you helped me"
"What more can they do to me ?"
Bootstrap chuckled
"I take this with a promise . I will find a way to sever Jones hold on you . I won't rest until this blade pierces his heart . I will not abandon you I promise"
Will looked at me before continuing
"Clarissa are you sure you're not coming"
I embraced Will whilst saying
"Yes I'm sure"
I watched as Will climbed down into the rowing boat and sailed away .
