The God of Cliffies was feeling a tad frazzled what with all his new followers thanks to the work of Maxine and Artur starting their new group Fluffy Apreciation to honour all things fluffy.
As he was thinking about this he realised what he needed was an assistant someone who was an author and who had an extensive history of causing anguish not to mention howls of outrage among the readers who followed them.
Unfortunately the leading contender for such a highly exalted position wasn't able to take the position yet due to them being alive however in a brilliant bit of bargaining Cliffie struck a deal with the Kitsune god's to ensure they would have the selected person assigned. This involved having Glenelda, Artur and PP assigned the job of keeping the nice soft and fluffy tails clean.
Now as everyone who knows them Glenelda and Artur are a pair of mad Aussie fluffy lovers with Glenelda who tends to suffer fluffy droolitis whenever a fluffy tail comes anywhere near her.
This normally isn't a problem however after the first day the Kitsune had to use a bit of fluffy magic to desensitize Glenelda as she drooled so much it left her severely dehydrated not to mention Artur had a very unfortunate accident from laughing at Glenelda.
Sometime later Cliffie was in his office reading the latest reports of what Glenelda, Artur and PP had been getting upto it was hilarious at how much trouble and mischief the pair of them could get upto not to mention poor PP trying to keep the pair of them out of trouble.
All of sudden there was a disturbance when Max popped into Cliffies office looking rather bewildered at where he was, this was followed by a massive outporing of grief from Max's family, friends and followers.
Cliffie realised it meant Max had passed away and could begin his new role in being Cliffies assistant.
Max wherever you now are I wish you the best and that you are now at peace.
