Olivia's POV
It's been a week and it's been great so far. Right now we are at a pep rally. It's better then last year. We are really hoping to win against poly. Every time we against them we lose, last year it was so bad our school cheerleaders started cheering for poly. Anyway, I'm sitting next to Mikey, Marisol to my left Walt next to her and Lorenzo next to Mikey on my right.
"WHO ARE WE" Mr.Iglesias asked then we yelled "WE ARE WILSON" "WHO ARE WE GONNA BEAT" Principal M asked "POLY! POLY!POLY!" We chanted. "How long has it been since we beat our rivals?" Principal M asked us. We all tried to do the math when the coach came out taking Mr.I mic. "PEOPLE,PEOPLE" he yelled trying to make us get quiet. "That's not what's important, the important thing is that today the streak ends on FRIDAY" he told us then yelled out the last part. We all cheered. "That's right it doesn't matter if it's been five, seven, or even ten years" Mr.I informed us. "Oh it's definitely ten" I yelled out, which got Lorenzo to nod and say "we were in kindergarten" I high fives my bestfriend. "Well this year the rockets gonna trample those clowns on FRIDAY" Principal M stated and yelled the last word. Everyone cheered. "Come on out here Rakeem!" She yelled for him. He came out and winked at some of the girls and Mr.I almost got down in one knee to give him his mic. I don't really get why everyone seems to like him, but then again I don't get a lot of things. "Come see me on game night, step on them necks. Crush the windpipes of poly TECH" he kinda sang. Everyone cheered again. I got up to go use the bathroom, it was to noise in there. I kinda just stayed in the bathroom until it finished. Mr.I was walking down the hair giving people high fives and doing a handshake with Rakeem. He then did a handshake with Lorenzo. "Mr.I is my guy" Lorenzo said, hey only I could call him that. "That's right, but don't let Olivia hear you call me that" Mr.I told him. They laughed and Lorenzo walked away. "Mr.I" I said as he walked pass me. We did our handshake and I walked away. Now we were in Mr.I class. My favorite. "All right everybody hand in your take home midterm on Plessy v. Fergunson" Mr.I told us. "Separate but equal, my black ass" Lo (Lorenzo) said. "Just to ease your disappointment in everyone else, you should probably grade mine last. Kinda crushed this one" Marisol told Mr.I. "What Mikey!? Your turning in your assignment on time? I'm impressed " Mr.I asked him, and of course it had to do with fortnite. We all gave him our assignment except for Rakeem. "What about you Rakeem" Mr.I shouted in my ear since he was next to me. I looked up at him and once he say my face, he gave me a sorry look. "Um... I'm good" Rakeem responded while having his hand on the door about to leave. "No your not" I said, "you're great" Walt finished. I wasn't gonna say that. "Dawn Walt we all need someone who looks at us like you look at Rakeem" I told him. "What are you talking about girl, you got Mikey" Mr.I said while everyone else nodded agreeing with him. I blushed and looked at Mikey. He smiled and winked at me. "But seriously rocket where your midterm" Mr.I asked Rakeem. "Um, it's here and here, with him" he answer while pointing at his heart, then head, then up at the sky. I looked up trying to find it but I couldn't. "Where, I can't see it" I said/asked Rakeem while looking up. Lorenzo put my head down and shakes his head. "All right, well ah, have him give it to you, and then give it to me" Mr.I told him. Have who? I'm so confused rn. I looked across at Mikey and gave him a look, to see if he could help me understand.
I giggled and everyone looked at me. I turn red at the attention I was getting. All of a sudden I hear "I guess we're losing to Poly.....again" Walt said. "Wait what, we're losing" I asked with a sad face.
Everyone aww. "See Mr.Iglesias, you don't want to let that face down" Lorenzo said pointing to my face. "What, no Olivia we are not gonna lose" Mr.I informed me. "Oh" I said them smiled again.
