Me and Avery where sat in bed, he was laid on top of me playing video games, whilst we chat and I played with his very, very short hair, I always ask him to grow it but then again that just wouldn't be Avery!
For as long as I can remember he's had short hair and it suits him, he has it dyed and fake blond colour which contrasts really well with his natural thick dark brown eyebrow and icy blue eyes, he is a really good looking guy, he's different to others but he's hot non of the less and he's my best friend. All mine.
Your probably wondering about our feelings for each other and it can be complicated, we have been best friends for most of our lives and I wouldn't be alive without him, literally
But as for romantic feelings, we've been there done that, he was my first. Everything, First Crush, First Kiss, First Time, My First Friend. I love him and we decided best friends was best, we don't want to ruin the bond we have and we promised the minute either of us got feelings for the other again we would say and sort it.
That was when I was 16 and he was nearly 18. Now I'm nearly 18 and he's nearly 19 and we couldn't be closer.
Some people might thing our relationship is weird and that we are too comfortable with each other but when you have been through what we have been through together you need that one person to cling to, to love, who you know will love you back unconditionally.
Well that's Avery.
Anyways,
He's laid in between my legs, his head in my stomach playing video games, so I wrap one leg around his torso and mess with his hair and as I always do when he's playing video games, I backseat drive.
"BEHIND YOU!" I scream, squeezing his shoulders
"Baby, I love you but you need to stop scaring the shit out of me and screaming in my ear, your making me lose" he said with a groan
"Sowwy Aveyyy" I said in a baby voice, pouting even though he can't see my face
"It's fine, I can't be mad at you for long" he said more calmly giving my ankle that was over his stomach, a squeeze
"Maybe if you let me play with you then I wouldn't have to back seat drive" I said with a huff, tapping his head lightly
"No." He said bluntly and I huffed
"Aveyyyy please?" I whined pretending to sob a little.
"No babygirl, last time I let you play with me, you got angry at the game, threw the controller which him me in the face and gave me a black eye that lasted weeks, I have a scar, never again!" He scolded me lightly and I giggled at the memory.
He has a small little scar above his eyebrow from where part of the controller hit him, that day was the first time he yelled at me from anger, but also the last time.
"Fine, don't have me in your team, you won't win without me!" I exclaimed, running my fingers through his hair.
"Your distracting me Em" he said simply, way to focused on his game to pay attention to me.
Don't Get me wrong I like seeing him content but he's visiting me and he's ignoring me right now and I want to talk and cuddle and watch a movie not look at the back of his head whilst he kills zombies!
Let's have some fun with this, he thinks this is distracting, let's teach him a lesson for ignoring me...
I ran my fingers through his hair, slightly tugging on it and tightened the hold of my legs round his torso.
I kissed the top of his head and then the side and then behind his ear,
I nibbled on his earlobe then kissed his cheek. I rubbed his shoulders forcing him to relax, he suddenly paused his game and turned to me.
"Stop! Distracting! Me!" He said with an annoyed tone I knew he was faking, I could see it in his eyes, he could never be mad at me.
"Well pay attention to me! I want to cuddle!" I whined
"You came here to see me, so, see me!" I said raising my voice slightly
"Come on, let's make a deal, I play one more game, you go down stair and get some snacks, make some hot chocolate and when you come back we'll put on a movie of your choice and cuddle all night. Sound good?" He said with a soft but sincere tone
"Yay, love you AVESS" I squealed and unwrapped my legs to get up
"Love you too baby" he kissed my cheek and went back to his game so I got up and made my way down stairs
I went to the kitchen and rummaged through the cupboards, I found some popcorns and some cookies so I took them, I made the popcorn and put the cookies on a plate.
As I began to make the hot chocolate the boys came piling into the kitchen.
"Ooh cookies" Chris said reaching to grab one but I ran to him and smacked his hand
"Not for you!" I scolded him harshly
"Why not, I'm hungry!" He whined bit I just rolled my eyes
"Boohoo" I fake sobbed and went back to making the hot chocolate
"Can you make us some?" Daniel said placing a hand on my shoulder causing em to flinch and spin around.
"Nope" I said bluntly popping the 'p' and turning back around
"Whyyyyyy" the boys said in unison to me and I sighed
"Because it's for me and Avery, where having a movie night so if you want something, make it yourself!" I said sternly putting the drinks and snacks into a tray.
"Can we join?" Luke asked smugly
"No, I don't want you there and I don't think your going to want to group cuddle with me and Avery whilst we watch Mama Mia!" I exclaimed.
"Cuddle?" Sawyer asked me sounding annoyed, he's been really crabby lately!
"Yep we made a deal, he plays one more game and then we get to cuddle and watch a movie, got a problem?" I asked in a snarky tone
"Nope no problem, you have just been ignoring us since he got here" he huffed
They where really annoying me tonight, why did they care so much, I don't understand?
"Oh excuse me for wanting to spend time with my best friend who I had to leave behind, he's the only family I have left and I brought him here for this exact reason, to spend time with. I'm going to be living you for at least the next year or two, you will see me everyday and he may be moving here but he will be busy at college. But no how rude of me to prioritise my best friend, my absolute rock, before you, how selfish of me!" I raised my voice at them
They all stared in silence at my sudden outbreak. Not gonna lie it felt good to snap at someone, I still had anger I needed to release and it just so happened that they where the ones that pushed me over the edge. Oops
"Emmy, we're sorry that was rude of me" sawyer apologised
"Whatever, I'm going to take my selfish self and go upstairs to enjoy the rest of my night without you guys" I said in a bored tone before leaving the room.
"Assholes" I mumbled just loud enough for them to hear as I exited
The boys tried to follow but Ethan stopped them
"Leave her alone can't you see she doesn't want you nagging her, jeez you can be dense sometimes!" Ethan said maturely
Thank you Ethan, someone understands!
I make my way back up to my room and feel the need to cry, I set down the tray on my desk and Avery looked at me
"What's wrong baby" He cooed at me opening his arms for a hug.
"I just need to cry, the boys pissed me off and won't stop nagging me about you and me so I snapped at them" I let out a little sob and hugged Avery.
He got an Look of annoyance in his eyes
"You get snuggled up and pick out the movies, I'll be back in a minute" he said putting me in the bed, kissing my forehead and leaving the room.
I knew he was going to talk to the boys but I didn't mind at this point.
Avery's P.O.V
The boys have been skeptical if me since I got here, I can tell they all have a thing for Emerson and are jealous of Are relationship and to be honest I get why, not many people are as close as me and Em but I wouldn't have it any other way.
I walked downstairs and into the family room to talk to the boys about upsetting Emerson. I wasn't gonna yell at them but they need to understand that Ems been through a lot but I don't know how to do that without slipping up on personal details
So I'm just gonna tell them to lay off her and give her and us some space whilst she settles in to her new life.
I entered the room and all the boys eyes shot up at me, some glared and others looked confused.
"Can I talk to you guys for a sec?" I asked standing at the door, they nodded so I walked in and stood in front of them.
"Why is Emerson upset?" I asked calmly not wanting to start drama.
"I was a bit harsh on her but I said I was sorry" Sawyer said sincerely
"Yeah she just snapped at us" Luke added in, blaming Emerson
"Listen I just came to tell you guys to give her a break, moving has been hard on her and she doesn't need you guys giving her shit or making her feel bad, just give her time" I said sounding genuine and the boys stared at me for a second
"Avery we understand it was just a stupid mistake ok?" Sawyer said a little too bitterly for my taste.
"Whatever, I don't really care about what happened I just don't like seeing my girl upset and so if I can do something about it I will, so just go easy on her."
I said a bit annoyed at sawyer
The boys nodded and stared at me "That's fine bro, tell her we're sorry we upset her and if she wants to talk about it where all ears" Ethan said, he seemed reasonable which I liked, I could see he saw Emerson as a little sister, not as a hot girl they wanted to bang.
"I'll tell her, she just a needs time to adjust, goodnight" I said walking out of the room
"Yeah have a fun time with her" I heard someone whisper in a snarky tone and I turned around
"Who said that?" I said simply and they stared at me, I read their faces to see who looked shocked at the fact I noticed...Luke?
"Dude what's your problem, I came here to spend time with my best friend so that's what I'm doing but some of you seem to have a problem with it" I said staying calm, at this point I just wanted to go hug with my girl, but this needs sorting.
"I don't have a problem" Luke said bluntly
"You just seem extremely close for best friends that's all" he adds onto the end, a hint of jealousy in his voice.
"When you have know each other for most of your lives and have been through the shit we have been though together, you learn to trust one another, you bond and the bond we have is Unbreakable, that's why we're close" I said with a little unevenly to my voice
I turned and left the room and went back upstairs to Emerson to cuddle like I promised her, I have already guessed that Mama Mia is the movie we will be watching because that's her go to sad movie.
"Hey baby" I said softly as I climbed into bed next to her, show rolled over and put her head in my chest, a leg over my waist and and arm around my stomach, her favourite way to cuddle btw.
"Hey Aveyyy" she said sleepily and I knew she would only last like the first 10 minutes of the movies but she's to stubborn to admit that
10 mins later
Emerson was fast asleep in the same position as before and I didn't have the heart to move her off me so I just stayed and looked at her, she was beautiful and she was my best friend, my girl.
I played with her hair and slowly drifted of to sleep but not before kissing her forehead "Night baby girl" I whispered before slipping into a dreamless sleep
I love her, maybe more than a friend and I know she's the same, We've just been though so much. We tried romance but we didn't want to jeopardise our friendship so we stayed best friends.
She was my First Crush, First Kiss, First Time, My First Friend. But I don't think she knows that, I know I'm her first and her only but she doesn't know she was my firsts and I wouldn't of have our relationship any different.
