King woke up feeling soft hands rubbing on his face. He opened his eyes making eye contact with Ailani and she couldn't help but smile.
"Daddy" she cooed.
"Morning Lala" he chuckled sitting up wiping the cold out his eyes. He squinted his eyes seeing Vamperina playing lowly on his tv. He looked over on the other side of the bed and frown. "Where's mommy?" He asked his daughter who just stared at him sucking her thumb. "Well let daddy use the bathroom and we'll find her alright" he told her hopping out of bed heading to the bathroom.
After he was done handling his personal hygiene he stepped out the bathroom seeing Ailani still sitting in the middle of the bed watching the tv show sucking her thumb.
"You ready Lala?" He asked her turning the tv off. He walk to the edge of the his side of the bed and held his arms out. She slowly stood up and walked over to him trying to balance herself on the bed.
"Up" she told him holding her arms up. He picked her up and walked out into the hallway smelling bacon being cooked from the kitchen. He walked downstairs and placed Ailani on the floor letting her walk the rest of the way to kitchen as he followed seeing Santana cooking breakfast at the stove and August sitting at the table watching a video on his tablet.
"Mommy!!" She squealed. "Auggie!!"
"Hi mamas" Santana greeted turning around.
"Morning Lala morning daddy"
"Wassup man" he asked rubbing the top of his head.
"Can you put her in the high chair for me please?" Santana asked King.
"Yeah come here Lala"
"Doggy!!" She squealing laying on top of their all black German Shepard, Dane. He lifted his head up and looked back at her before laying back down on the tile floor. King picked her up and carried her to the high chair before placing her in and strapping it up. He locked the tray in and Santana places Honey Nut Cheerios in front of her.
Over the past two years Santana and King been drama free. But they went through up and down amongst themselves like every other couple. He now owns a soul food and Spanish restaurant in Dominican Republic. Santana went back to work working at the high school and is now the head nurse of the school district.
Unfortunately, a year ago she miscarried at ten weeks, putting her through a depression state for a couple of months. She believed it was her fault. King, her friends, and her brother all stood by her side helping her cope through her heartbreaking time. She eventually accepted that God makes no mistakes and slowly moved on from it knowing she will be blessed with a rainbow baby.
"August go let Dane outside" King said sitting on the stool at the island.
August quickly put his tablet down and happily ran over to his dog. "Outside Dane lets go" he giggled as Dane stood up and circled August little body. August opened the glass door then the screen door before running outside to the backyard with Dane.
King watched Santana move around in the kitchen cooking breakfast wearing black gym shorts. He couldn't help but bite his bottom lip admiring her thick, curvy, natural body. "You wearing them shorts" he complimented watching her ass jiggle.
"Am I?" She teased looking back at him.
"You about to start something"
"Am I?" She repeated this time more seductively slowly walking over to him, leaning over the counter. King leaned forward and grazed his lips against hers.
"Aahh no mommy!" Ailani shouted.
"What? I can't kiss daddy?" Ailani shook her head no before stuffing a cheerio in her mouth. "Why not?" She chuckled.
"My Daddy"
"He's my daddy too"
"Noo!!" she shouted as Santana pecking his lips. They both couldn't help but laugh as Ailani sat in her high chair upset, staring right at them.
After breakfast they all got ready for the day. King walked out the bathroom with a towel wrapped around his waist seeing Santana still in her pajamas doing Ailani hair. Paw Patrol was playing on their flat screen tv that was mounted to their wall to keep Ailani calm.
"Lala you look pretty baby girl" he told her making her smile.
"Daddy" she called out before speaking the rest in baby talk pointing her finger at him.
"Okay Lala I'm about to get dress right now" he chuckled heading to his closet and Santana couldn't help but laugh.
"Tell him baby" she encouraged.
"Tana" August called out walking into the room.
"Yes baby"
"Can you help me?"
"Yeah what happen?"
"I can't do my belt"
Santana sprayed oil into her daughters hair and rubbed it in. "Yeah come here" she said grabbing the towel and wiping her hands. August walked over to her and she started to fix his pants and belt.
"Don't forget mommy's picking you up today"
"Yeah we going to a birthday party"
"I know she told me" Santana smiled. At the corner of her eye she saw Ailani crawling towards the end of the bed. "Where you going Lala?" She asked still fixing August's clothes before looking over at her.
"Daddy" she said pointing to his closet.
"No, he's getting dress mamas come here let mommy finish doing your hair" she told her. Ailani crawled back to mother and waited for her mom to be done before sitting back in her lap as August sat on the bed and watched tv.
King walked out his closet fully dress, wearing blue jeans with a black t-shirt. He walked over to his dresser and spray cologne on him before putting on his favorite diamond watch that Santana brought him a couple of years ago for his birthday.
"Can I have some cologne daddy?"
"Yeah come here"
August got off the bed and walked over to his father. King lightly sprayed his cologne on his son who couldn't help but smile. "I smell like you daddy" he cheesed walking back to the bed to finish watching tv.
"All done" Santana said as Ailani looked back at her and smiled. She crawled over next to her brother, laid down and started watching tv with him.
"What you doing today?"
"Going to go see Chanel for a few hours" she answered. "Why? You going to work?"
"Yeah, I gotta do paperwork at the restaurant then check inventory at the club"
"Are you coming back tonight or staying there?"
King shook his head, "I'm coming back tonight Trae and Cash is gonna be at the club for tonight since I was there all last week"
"Alright, take them downstairs so I can clean up and get ready" she said cleaning up the hair products before heading to the bathroom.
"Come on" King said picking up Ailani and turning off the tv. "Let's go August"
While King had the kids downstairs with him, Santana took a shower and got dress throwing on a black maxi dress. She left her curly hair in it natural state adding some jojoba and coconut oil to it.
She walked downstairs seeing Keisha standing at the door talking to King as August got ready, putting on his shoes. "Hey Santana, August go say bye to your sister"
"Hey Ke" Santana greeted back.
"Lala!!" He called out and she came running out the living room into the foyer with Dane running behind her.
"Bye bye Auggie!!" Ailani shouted hugging her bother.
After August left, Santana got ready to leave. She packed a small backpack for Ailani that contained extra underwear, pull-ups, juice box, water and snack. She placed Ailani pink converse on that went with her baggy overall jeans and gray shirt. Her curly hair was in two pony tails with two small pink bows.
King let Dane outside before closing the door and speaking to the security. He walked into the foyer seeing Santana getting ready to leave. She opened the front and Ailani practically ran outside to the car.
"Lala next time wait for mommy"
"How long you gonna be at Trigs?"
"Only a few hours Lala come say bye to daddy"
She ran back over to them and King picked her up. "Bye I love you"
"Bye-bye daddy"
Santana listened Ailani talk to King as he walked her to the car before strapping her in the car seat. He gave her a kiss on the cheek and close the door as Santana started to walk around the car.
"Give me some first" King demanded pulling her back making her laugh lightly. She kissed his lips and turned around feeling him slap her ass. "I'll see you later alright?"
"Alright"
She hopped in the driver seat and started the car before backing out the driveway. Looking in the rearview mirror she seen Ailani sucking on her thumb. Since her phone was connected to the Bluetooth she turned on some music getting Ailani in the dancing mood.
After fifteen minutes, Santana pulled up to Chanel's house and beeped the horn. She killed the engine and grabbed her bag hearing Ailani clapping her hands. Stepping out the car she walk to the other side and open the back door. She unbuckled the car seat and took Ailani allowing her to run to the door.
"Lala!!" TJ shouted from the front door. Ailani excitedly ran over to him with Santana following behind her.
"Hey girl" Chanel chuckled at the two toddlers held hands and headed inside the living room. Santana couldn't help but smile as she walked over to her best friend giving her a hug.
"Oh my gosh look at you, I can't believe your having another boy"
"Girl I'm so done with being pregnant I got three months left, after him I'm tying my tubes" Chanel said closing her front door as Santana laughed.
"Uh uh Lala gonna need a girl cousin"
"You better ask Priscilla"
"She having a boy too"
"Damn" Chanel scoffed as they headed to the living room. "So far she's the only girl" she continued. They sat down on the couches and got comfortable. "What's going on with her?"
"She just delayed" Santana answered. "She not speaking how a normal two year old should but the doctor said give it time and she will catch up"
"Well she was a preemie" Chanel added.
"I know that why I'm not worried about it" Santana chimed it. "But it's just got me thinking will this effect her from going to school? Because she can point to the correct colors, shapes and numbers but speaking is her main problem"
"Is therapy working?"
"Yeah the therapist teaching her sign language so if she wants more of something she'll use her hands instead of screaming, she started saying ice pops, doggy, bye bye, okay and no" Santana answered. "That's her new thing now, no mommy, no daddy" Ailani looked over at Santana and smiled.
"She knows what your talking about too" Chanel chuckle.
"Mhmm cause she knows it's true" Santana added. Ailani went back to playing with TJ and the toys that was laid out on the floor. "She very good at listening"
"TJ hard headed just like his damn father" Chanel told her. "He looks like me but has his attitude"
"What you gonna do with all that hair?"
"Trae wants to cut it but I like it, it's so curly and it fits him" Chanel answered. "But I know sooner or later we are gonna have to get rid of it and if he wants to grow it when he gets older he can cause he has beautiful hair" she continued. "Compare to me and Trae's nappy ass hair"
Santana couldn't help but laugh knowing Chanel was telling the truth, "Whose side has that hair texture?"
"Well my mom had curly hair just like his so I think that's where he got it from" Chanel answered as Santana nodded her head.
"Aaaahhh" Ailani screamed out trying to get her toy back from TJ.
"Share TJ!!" Chanel shouted.
"And stop all the scream Ailani!!" Santana added.

Santana and Ailani stayed at Chanel place for a few hours before going home. "Daddy!!!" Ailani shouted walking through the door.
"He's not home yet Lala" Santana told her. "Let me help you take off your shoes" she continued. Ailani sat on the floor and held her leg up so her mother can take them off.
After Santana was done she walked into the kitchen and headed to the back door letting Dane inside who ran over to Ailani and followed her into the living room. Santana closed and locked both doors.
Walking back into the living room, she sat on the couch, "Wanna talk to daddy?" She asked calling King on FaceTime. Ailani walked over to the couch and climbed on top sitting next to her mother.
"Wassup? You good?" He answered.
"Yeah your daughter been looking for you" she answered putting Ailani on the phone.
She smiled, "Daddy..."
"Wassup Lala?" He chuckled listening to her talk even thought he couldn't understand. "I'll be home in a little bit alright" he continued as she excitedly laughed.
"Tana what you about to do?"
"Probably cook I don't know I'm thinking about ordering out" she told him as Ailani walked over to Dane who was laying down on the floor.
"Want me to bring something on my way back?"
"Yeah I'm in the mood for pizza"
"Alright I'll bring a pie home August is staying with his mother so it's just us three eating" he told her. "Where she go?"
"She sitting on top of Dane petting him"
"He lets her do anything to him" he chuckled. "But order the pizza and I'll pick it up on the way home"
"Alright" she said before they both hung up.
Santana turned the tv and put on a movie for Ailani to keep her busy while she does extra cleaning around the house. Once she was done she ordered pizza and texted King letting him know when the food would be ready. For the rest of the evening, Santana hung out with Ailani, something she loved to do.

King walked through the door with a pizza box in one hand and a bag in the other. He heard the tv playing in the living room. After taking off his shoes and coat he took a peek and locked eyes with Ailani.
"Daddy!!" She shouted. Santana looked over seeing King walking into the living room. Ailani climbed off the couch and ran over to her father hugging his leg. "Daddy"
"Wassup baby girl?" He smiled looking down at her. Santana walked over to them and headed to the kitchen with King and Ailani right behind her listening to her speak to him.
"Oh yeah you had fun with cousin TJ today" King said making her laugh as he placed the bag and pizza box on the counter.
"Did you buy her ice pops again?" Santana asked him looking at the other bag.
King looked at her and rubbed the top of his head with a smirk on his face. "Yeah"
"I pops" Ailani smiled.
"Eat first" Santana told her getting plates for them from the cabinet.
"No mommy!!"
"Lala dinner first then you get ice pop" Santana told her calmly placing the plates on the counter top. "Here have some pizza" she continued putting a small slice on the plate for her. She grabbed a fork and knife started to cut it up for her. Ailani shook her head, "Alright then no ice pops" She started crying, throwing herself on the floor.
King swooped her up as she cried in his arms, "Cut it out Lala, listen to mommy and once your done eating you can get your snack-"
While King was talking she let out a high pitch scream, "Aaaahhh"
"Aye!!" He shouted getting her attention.
"Alright you want time out?!" Santana added. Ailani shook her head, "So stop it or you get no ice pop"
"Eat some pizza Lala" King told her
"No, I pops" she continued to whine in his arms.
Santana listened to King calm their daughter down as she continued getting her dinner ready, cutting it up for her. "You gotta have pizza first Lala and then you get ice pops okay" King whispered as she lightly cried in his ear.
"Otay" she sniffed rubbing her eyes. King placed her in her high chair and strapped her in before sliding on the tray. He sat down at table next to her.
"Here try it baby it's good" Santana encouraged placing the pizza down in front of her.
Ailani looked at the pizza and scrunched up her face before picking a piece up and eating it. She chewed up her food and swallowed before going back for more.
"Here" Santana said passing King his plate full of pizza and wings.
"Thank you" he said watching Ailani eat her food.
"Mommy!!" She called out pointing to the chair on the other side of her.
"I'm coming baby I'm making my plate now" Santana told her.
After they are dinner, they let Ailani have an ice pop before Santana gave her a bath and warm almond milk, knocking her out. She stepped out the shower and dried off wrapping the towel around her body. Walking out the room she seen King laying on the bed working on his laptop.
"You working this summer?" He asked her as she headed to the closet to get dress.
"Nah why?"
"I just booked our trip"
"What?" She asked throwing on panties and an oversized t-shirt.
"You heard me"
"King stop playing me" she said walking out throwing her towel in the hamper.
"I'm serious babe we leaving in the beginning of July" he chuckled.
"Where we going?"
"You'll see"
"Whose going?"
"Me, you, August and Ailani"
Santana squinted her eyes at him, "You got something up your sleeve" King couldn't help but smirk and rub the top of head knowing he had a huge surprise for her.
