Babe Heffron was the love of your life. Bill Guarnere was a close friend of both of yours but good lord did Bill work your nerves from time to time. Most often when you were hanging out with Babe. Bill had teased the two of you about liking each other before you were even a couple, now that you were was no exception. He always seemed to find new ways to make Babe blush and to make you want to rip his throat out.
You immediately groaned as you walked out of the structure you were just in with Babe as you spotted Bill. Babe grabbed your wait and led you in a different direction. "Babe! Be gentle with the Doll." You flipped Bill the finger from behind your back and allowed Babe to drag you. "Don't call me a doll Guarno!"

Finally, you relished in the lack of Bill as you danced slowly to the music that filled the bar, your head resting on Babe's shoulder. Babe had one hand on your lower back and one interlocked with yours. The hand not holding Babe's was resting on the back of his neck. You enjoyed peaceful moments like this when the nuisance that is Bill Guarnere left you the hell alone.
The other replacements teased Babe a little bit but it was mostly cut down. "Now why is it, that everytime I see you two, I can cut the sexual tension with a knife?" You rolled your eyes, immediately recognizing Bill's voice. "Jesus Bill. Leave those crazy kids alone. So what if they want to jump each others bones?" The new voice that had cut in caused Bill and the other men to laugh. "Not helping Buck." You called out to him.
Babe's face was beet red and had been shoved into the crook of your neck while you rubbed his back soothingly. The poor replacement did not handle embarrassment well. "He took a good sniff of her scent. Relishing in how she smelled like him as he remembered the night before and how they-" "Bill! Please tell me you are not about to narrate our love life." You cut him off sharply before he had the chance to destroy Babe's confidence.
"Sorry Doll. I don't like to lie." You rolled your eyes again for the second time in ten minutes and dragged Babe off of the dance floor to retrieve many, many drinks. If you were gonna make it through this without killing someone, you were gonna have to be shit-faced drunk. About two drinks in, Babe had enough. You weren't sure if it was idiotic boldness from the liquor or if he was just done with Bill's teasing.
He kissed you. Or he would have. "He leans in to kiss her, brushing a hair from her face, lips almost touching, he hesitates. Finally they move to shove their tongues down each others throats and-" "Bill I am up to HERE WITH YOUR BULLSHIT!!"
