Mackie's POV
"I can't wait until he finally breaks up with her.." I tell Francis.
"She doesn't seem like a nice person like Keifer described her to be." Francis shrugged, "I was guilty for nothing." He whispered, but I heard.
"What do you mean? Why were you guilty?" I asked him confused,
Why would he feel guilty that his two best friends were finally happy.
"Well.. he has a girlfriend. It wasn't right that you guys acted like a couple while he has an official girlfriend." He explains, I was a bit offended that he'd accuse us of cheating.
I was the one Keifer liked first, he's only with her because of me, he only met her BECAUSE OF ME.
"So, you felt guilty because you think the Keifer was cheating on Kim? Does that make me a home-wrecker then?" I asked sarcastically, sounding defensive.
"No! No, that's not what I meant!" Francis frantically explained.
"Just drop it. I don't want to listen to it." I tell him bluntly, I head to my bedroom leaving Francis in the living room.
Narrator's pov
"Keifer," Kim starts, "I like you." She finishes.
Keifer just smiles and nods at her confession.
"Thanks, Kim." Keifer answers.
Keifer and Kim were walking around touring Nelson's garden, Keifer has been trying to talk to Kim about Mackie and ending their relationship.
"About that Kim," keifer began. "I've been wanting to talk to you..." he says rubbing the back of his head.
They both stop in their tracks, Keifer spots a bench,
"We should sit down first." He says, pulling her towards the bench.
"What is it Keif?" Kim asks innocently, "are you okay?" She looked concerned, she put her hand on Keifer's arm.
"Listen Kim." He says, taking her hand and holding it tightly. "You know I care for you.." he says looking at her.
"yes, thank you." She replies.
"This is hard for me to say," he continues,
"Don't tell me.." she begins.
"I'm sor-." He looks sorrily,
"You're beginning to have feeling for me!?" She screams excitedly,
"What? NO NO!" Keifer screams back in horror.
Kim was in awe, she knew he didn't like her but she didn't know he'd deny her that much.
"I see.." she says looking hurt.
"Jeez.. I'm really sorry Kim.. I just love Mackie so so much." He sighs.
"I know.." Kim responds.
"I'm really sorry, but I need to break up with you." Keifer says looking down.
"I understand. I wish you two the best of luck. If you need anything, I'll be here." She smiles weakly.
"Thank you for understanding." Keifer smiles.
"I want to be alone, you can go back first." Kim tells him.
"Okay," keifer smiles.
After Keifer leaves, Kim sits on the bench with no emotions.

A couple hours later, back in the house.
"Hey, Kim. Where's Keifer?" Mackie asks going up the stairs.
"In the shower." She replies, leaning by the wall.
"Did he talk to you... about anything?" Mackie asks awkwardly reaching the top of the stairs.
"Did you not talk to him yet?" Kim asks back.
"Francis and I just got home." Mackie says shaking his head.
Kim raises her eyebrows, and replied, "Okay."
She was about to walk down the stairs, but mackie stops her.
"Wait, you didn't answer my question." Mackie says, stopping Kim in her tracks.
Kim looks back at Mackie, snatched her hand away from him and says, "I don't need to tell you anything." She retorts.
"You don't need to be rude." Mackie defends.
"I, also, don't need to listen to you." Kim smiles sarcastically.
"I don't know what Keifer meant when he said you were 'nice', nothing about you is nice." Mackie states.
"Screw you." Kim tells him.
"Watch it." Mackie warns.
"What are you going to do?" Kim smirks.
"Whatever." Mackie gives up, and was about to walk away.
"Coward." Kim says.
"What!" Mackie says snapping around to face her,
"Ahh!" Kim screams.
"Wait Mackie don't" She kept screaming.
"What are you talking about!?" Mackie urges.
Mackie stood frozen and confused, he steps closer towards her and holds her shoulders.
He let go when the washroom doors snapped open, revealing Keifer in a towel, with his hair dripping down, trying to put a shirt on.
Next thing he knew, Kim was about to fall down the stairs.
He couldn't act fast enough to catch her.
"What happened!?" Keifer shouts.
Kim cried, and cried holding her arm at the bottom of the stairs.
Mackie was at lost, he didn't know what to do,
He fell on the floor, trying to process what happened.
Kim stopped her crying and was just clutching on to her arm.
Keifer didn't see Kim fall, but he did see Mackie on the floor.
"Mack, are you okay?? What happened?" He says as he scurries towards the boy on the floor looking down at the bottom of the stairs.
When he looks at what Mackie was staring at, his eyes opened widely.
He ran down as fast as he can to the girl who was whimpering.
Keifer calls the ambulance, for Kim.
After a few minutes the ambulance came and took Kim away.
Keifer watched as they took his ex girlfriend away.
Keifer sighs as he enters the house.
"Keifer, what'd they say?" Francis asks from the couch.
"They'll find out for sure in the hospital. I'll go after I've changed." Keifer says closing his eyes for a moment, and sighs.
When he sees Mackie on the top of the stairs.
He felt anger rush through him, "what happened!" He screams.
"I-. I didn't do, I don't know!" Mackie stutters.
"you don't know? You don't know!? KIM SAID YOU PUSHED HER!" Keifer pointed at Mackie.
Mackie stood up and ran down,
Trying to explain himself, "I didn't! I swear!"
"How am I suppose to believe you!?" Keifer spat.
"How can you not!?" Mackie retorts back. Keifer sighs, taken aback by his response.
"Both of you were at the top of the stairs, right?"He asks, mackie nodded,
"Yeah.." he answers.
"Then a moment later, Kim was at the bottom of the stairs, while you were still at the top." Keifer states, with no clear emotion.
"I-... Yeah.." mackie replies.
"Then tell me, mack. How exactly am I suppose to believe you" Keifer says looking into Mackie's eyes.
"She's lying.." mackie whispers, unable to look back at him, keifer waited for Mackie to reply with something else. Anything else.
But he didn't.
He couldn't.
Until Keifer lost all his hope in Mackie,
"Whatever." Keifer says, passing Mackie as he makes his way up the stairs.
"Believe me, not her!" Mackie screams, making Keifer turn to face him.
"SHE'S THE ONE IN THE HOSPITAL RIGHT NOW!" Keifer screamed and walked up the stairs.
Mackie felt his tears well up. He didn't know what to do.
He dropped down,
"Are you okay?" Francis asks kneeling down in front of Mackie.
"Just leave me alone." Mackie sniffles as he hides his face.
"Mackie.." Francis says worriedly.
"I said leave me alone Francis!" Mackie spats.
Francis falls back, clenching his hands.
Francis shakes his head,
"What Keifer said, 'Whatever.'" Francis said harshly.
Francis passes by his friend,
"Keif, I'll go with you to visit Kim!" He shouts.
"Okay!" Keifer shouts back from his room.
"I didn't do it..." mackie whispers as he cries in his arms.
