August pov
Tonight I was invited by my record label to come to a Masquerade party in Atlantic City in a banquet hall. I'll admit that I loved parties but this one was much different than any party I've ever went to. I dressed in a leather black tuxedo with a mask to go with it. I scan the banquet as my eyes set on so many beautiful woman; that was until I came face to face with an unfamiliar looking female that caught my eye. Her body caught more of my attention the way it swayed to the music. I slowly begin to raise my mask above my eyes as her friend tapped her shoulder in the middle of their conversation. I couldn't make out what they were saying because the music was blasting; but, I could read her friends lips. "That's him, August Alsina. Go talk to him." Her friend shooed her pushing the woman in my direction. "I don't want to talk to him." She replied. "Please, do it for me. Bruno Mars is my date please talk to August. You don't regret it." Her friend winked. "Fine!" She replied walking in my direction. "I couldn't help but overhear you and your friend talking are you embarrassed to talk to me?" I laughed. "No, I hardly know you." She responds.
