I sit beside (Y\N)'s bed, holding her limp hand.
She's in a coma, all because of some idiot that had too much to drink.
"Love, you should wake up soon. It's getting kind of boring without you to talk to. I know you can't hear me, but you need to wake up. This isn't how it's supposed to be.."
I don't have much recollection of the crash, except that it put (Y/N) in this stupid bed.
I lay my forehead onto the side of the bed.
How is this possibly happening? Why is it happening? I can't lose her. There's no way I can lose her. Not again.
A tear splashes onto the blanket, but I quickly wipe it away. Crying isn't going to heal her, and it will only make me feel worse.
As I lay on her bed, my mind begins to wander to the first few months of our relationship.
Our first date. Our first kiss. The first time she told me she loved me.
Sometime I drift off to a dreamless sleep, and am awoken by movement underneath me head.
I groggily look around to see who woke me.
(Y/N)'s eyes are fluttering open.
I rub my eyes to make sure they aren't deceiving me. That was definitely an eye opening and closing.
My jaw drops as I watch her wake up. I can't help the tear that fall down my cheek.
"Hey," I say, gently stroking her cheek.
Her eyes are completely open, struggling with the bright lights.
"I knew you would wake up." I say to her, taking her hand in mine. She pulls her hand back.
"Who are you?"
