The Maknae Line loving George moments.
- MOMENT ONE; A clingy Jimin.
Park Jimin is like George's is very own personal koala - he often enjoys wrapping himself around George, even when the older boy tries to push him off. Jimin loves cuddles, especially George's cuddles which eventually always makes him feel guilty for trying to push the younger boy away. It's now a running joke within the fandom that Jimin is George's baby due to how needy he is. The amount of times the elder boy has had to carry Jimin around is far too many to count.
The boys were filming for their RUN episodes and this time, it took place in the morning. George trudged down into the kitchen where Jin and Jungkook were standing, the camera panned to see George entering the kitchen half asleep with Jimin handing off his back also barely awake. Sighing, George repositioned the younger boy so he was in a more comfortable position before heading towards the island, he dropped him into the seat next to Jungkook before turning to grab the cereal box.
"Yah! Georgieee~" Sang Jimin, reaching out and making grabby hands towards his Hyung who inaudibly groaned.
Jimin had days where he was extra clingy to George, specifically in the mornings. He really was just like a baby who needed their parent's attention.
"Jimin, eat your cereal and let George breathe." Jimin rolled his eyes at Yoongi who entered the room with a cheeky grin, but he dropped his hands and rested his chin in his palm.
George grabbed a bowl and slid it in front of Jimin, prompting him to start eating. Smiling at the small act from the older boy, Jimin proceeded to make his breakfast. Once George was all done and seated, Taehyung smirked at Jimin and turned to slide in the seat beside George but was quickly beaten by Jungkook who grinned innocently at the two pouting boys who wanted to sit next to their Hyung. George paid no mind to the two and quietly ate his breakfast, secretly basking in the love from the Maknae's.
- MOMENT TWO; An emotional moment.
The loud screams were like music to his ears as his eyes scanned the crowd filled with raised Army Bombs and banners. George ran a hand through his drenched hair and grinned widely at a certain section close to him, holding the mic tightly in his hands, he stopped to take in the scene around him. It was always shocking to him to see just how many people showed up to see the boys perform, it always made him feel a little emotional. Distracted by the rows of bright lights and delightful shrieks, George didn't realize that a few tears had leaked out of his eyes until he felt two hands wrap around him from behind.
That's when it all hit him at once and George lifted both hands to cover his face. This is all he has ever wanted and now he has it, it all just felt so surreal to him. The person holding onto him managed to tighten the grip and rested their cheek on his back - which was very sweaty, so he felt a little guilty for that. The crowd began to make a fuss of George's emotional state and began screaming, a deep chuckle sounded from behind him and he quickly recognized it to be Taehyung.
Standing up straight, George wiped his eyes before wrapping Taehyung into a hug which caused an even bigger reaction. They tightened their arms around each other, George's face falling against Taehyung's shoulder. It was such a sweet moment that even the others stopped what they were doing to watch. Even Yoongi's gummy smile made an appearance, knowing that this was out of character for George.
"Thank you for being you," George spoke in Taehyung's ear before pulling away and running across the stage leaving Taehyung to stand and watch with a wide smile.
Oh, how he loved George.
- MOMENT THREE; Languages are hard.
Jungkook was feeling frustrated and the only person he really wanted to be around was George - who had been dragged out by Hoseok to go explore the city before they had to leave for another country. Sitting on the bed of his hotel room which he was sharing with Jimin, Jungkook locked his hands and stared at the floor sadly. He needed George. As if he had heard his thoughts, George burst through the door wearing huge goofy glasses, a pink tutu, a feather boa, fake nails and a princess crown.
"Before you laugh--"
"I'm not in the mood to laugh," Jungkook mumbled even though the sight of his Hyung dressed so silly was still very amusing to him and he prayed to God that people had taken pictures. George didn't even bother to remove any of his outfit before he sat down, making that much harder for Jungkook to take him seriously. "Hyung--Ouch what the actual hell was that for? And why the hell are you wearing fake nails?"
George had prodded him in the cheek with his glued on, fake nail. "I lost a dare and well...this was the punishment." George pulled off the nails which were easier than it should've been. "What's wrong?"
"I think I'm not making any improvements on my English. Hyung, I'm trying so hard but--okay ouch, there was no need for you to slap me."
"Clearly I didn't slap enough sense into you. Jungkook, has somebody told you that you aren't good enough at English?" Jungkook turned to look at the ground, which was enough of an answer for George. "Whoever it is, clearly had no idea just how hard it is to learn a whole other language. Jungkook, you've made so much progress your work is paying off. You might not be fluent but you're pretty darn close, at least you're trying. Whoever had the audacity to say that your hard work isn't paying off, I can guarantee has never sat there and tried to learn an entire language."
"But I want to be as good as you and Namjoon Hyung..."
"I was taught to speak both languages Jungkook, that's why I'm fluent. I've been speaking both languages since birth and for Namjoon, it was just as hard for him as it is for you. Languages come easy to some people and for others, it's a little more challenging especially with the busy schedule. ARMY wouldn't want you feeling upset over what one lowlife has to say. They are so proud of how much you have learned, you're trying and it is paying off."
Jungkook allowed the words to sink in as his body fell into George's. Chucking, he wrapped his arm around the Maknae and squeezed him.
"I can't take you seriously whilst you're wearing a tiara and tutu."
George scoffed, "don't make me slap you again."
- MOMENT FOUR; The sick squad.
The Maknae line had unfortunately fallen sick and three sick boys who had a lot of love for George Lee wasn't a good mix; they were clingy, therefore, George had offered to take care of them whilst the boys got on with their tasks without worrying that the Maknae's were left unattended to. Namjoon thanked the Lords that they fell sick whilst the group were on a well-deserved break. Jin had actually been the one to start off with the bug and then accidentally passed it onto Taehyung, who passed it onto Jungkook, who passed it onto Jimin. George had loaded them into the living room.
The rest of the boys walked around with masks on if they needed to go anywhere near the boys - which was kind of dramatic in George's opinion considering he was walking around mask free whilst tending to the Maknae's, or maybe he was just stupid. Yeah, probably the second one. The boys had been fed, covered up and applied with medication and George was finally able to relax. He was about to head to his room, but the loud protests of three stopped him.
"Don't go!" Whined Jimin with his hands reaching out to grab onto George.
"Jimin! I wanna--"
"Please!" The three boys offered the boy their combined puppy dog eyes which they knew he wouldn't be able to resist.
"I hate you all."
And so, the Maknae's won. George found himself laying between Taehyung and Jimin with Jungkook sprawled across his lap and he was starting to regret not wearing a mask.
- MOMENT FIVE; Making up for the lost time.
George had been away for a couple of days due to a family vacation whilst the boys were on a break. He wasn't going to go because he wanted to get more work done for future projects, however, the boys forced him to go spend time with his family on a mini vacation - Jin practically planted him on the plane. As much as the boys wanted him to go, they were missing having him around, specifically, the Maknae line who was feeling a little lost with his absence. Jimin had been walking around in George's hoodie and snapback for days because he missed him that much, so when he was due to return you better believe the 3 babies were at the door waiting for him.
The second he walked in, he had Jimin wrapped around him like a koala, Taehyung holding onto the back of his hoodie and Jungkook subtly following him around wherever he went - Jungkook was still having trouble with admitting that he missed him. Taehyung and Jimin wouldn't even let him greet the other boys with a hug, they literally would not let go of him. George was stuck with holding Jimin up and taking tiny steps as Taehyung latched onto the back of his hoodie. Jungkook appeared in every room he walked in, which was more amusing to him than anything.
"I literally left for a week."
"Yeah. And it was dreadful," Jimin replied as he cuddled into George even more than he already had been, George was surprised that it was even possible to hug him more.
For the rest of that week, Jimin wouldn't leave his side, Taehyung was constantly hot on their trail and Jungkook got closer and closer until George refused to hug him unless he admitted that he missed him, which Jungkook did very reluctantly. George couldn't exactly say he minded the attention, he had missed the boys just as much as they missed them and it was nice to be loved.
But he wouldn't ever give the Maknae Line the satisfaction of hearing him admit that.
