"Oh god! Oh god!" Chibi yelled, running with the two year old in her arms. She was petrified. This monster is going to kill her. Her feet nearly slipped on the ground as all she could think about was Hope. The young baby had no clue what was happening. Finally the sound of rushing water entered Chibi's ears. She smiled in relief.
"Thank you!" Fumbling on the ground, she set the baby carefully on the ground and prepared the basket. The main plan was to float the child down the stream and hope for the best.
The small 2 year old grasped Chibi's small nose and giggled in joy. She was so innocent. Chibi was shaking. From fear and sadness. She unclasped her precious necklace and clipped it onto Hope's neck.
"There." Hope smiled, giggling and gurgling. "If I ever get out of here, I promise to find you."
"Ba ba!" Hope giggled, eyes gleaming. Chibi picked up the small baby and placed her gently in the basket that was on the river. And just like that, Chibi let go.
The baby floated down the stream, away from her view.
All Chibi could do was smile, right before a hand wrapped around her mouth and gagged her.
