Percy's POV

I slashed at Erebus's knee but ducked at his incoming weapon. I rolled away from the other Primordial's weapons.

"Give it up, demigod," Thalassa growled.

"Never," I replied boldly. But I was surprised I even lasted this long. I conjured up some knives and threw them at Tartarus. It did little to stop him. I kept using my powers and my sword to defend myself. I knew I couldn't keep this up too long.

And obviously, I was right.

They soon overpowered me. Thalassa and Pontus hurled poison in my direction and I put up a wall of energy to block it. I had to keep it up as the powerful water deities kept pushing the poisonous water at me. My power was draining quickly. I prayed to every god and goddess I knew. I let the wall collapse and almost immediately after, I struggled to control the water. At first, I was losing, but I got the hang of it.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Tartarus sweating and concentrating. Looks like I broke free of his power binding. Surprising myself, I shoved the water at the two primordials. They looked sick but I knew that the poison could not kill them. In my shocked stupor, Erebus took this time to send his massive foot to the back of my head. I blacked out immediately.

Oh Hades. I am so dead.

Nico's POV

The way back was awkward. Thalia was glaring at the still unconscious Annabeth, and the awoken Jason was looking back and forth at them, worried that his sister would try something.

He finally sighed and asked, "So... Any ideas in how we're going to get out?"

Nobody answered. I had tried to think of a way out since we left the heart, but so far, I only thought of a few that probably wouldn't even work.

But it was worth a try, I guess.

"There's a couple of things we could try, but I don't think they will work. We could try to contact the gods via Iris Messaging. But I'm not sure if Iris can reach in Tartarus. We could pray to the gods, but like Iris Messaging, I'm not sure it will reach them. Our powers are binded by Tartarus, so that may not be an option. I tested it a couple of times on our way," I explained.

"Actually, I think I might have a way," Jason announced. All heads snapped to his own. "Before Nico and I went to retrieve Diocletian's scepter during the war against Gaea, I had a dream. Reyna was in her office when Grover and Rachel came to deliver a message from Annabeth."

Thalia scowled.

"She and Percy were in Tartarus by then, but I don't know how she sent it. I think we should ask her," Jason finished.

"Should we wake her up then?" I asked.

"Wait. I was there when she sent the message. I know how. First we have to find Hermes shrine," Bob piped up.

"Alright let's go to Hermes's shrine. Where is it?" Jason asked.

"I believe it is back that way," Bob said. He urged around and walked to the right of the direction of the heart. We followed.

We had arrived at Hermes's shrine in a few minutes of walking. "Does anyone have a pen and paper?" Bob asked.

"I have paper," Jason said. He pulled a folded piece of blank paper from his pocket. I looked at him weirdly. He just shrugged.

"Alright. What about a pen?" Bob asked again.

Damasen grunted a 'no.' Thalia and I just shook our heads.

"Then what should we use?" Bob frowned. Then Thalia smirked. Evilly. I was actually questioning her sanity.

"I know what we can use..." Thalia grinned. Then she took out her hunting knife. I widened my eyes.

"What the Tartarus do you think you're doing!" I screamed as she advance towards Annabeth. I tried to stop her but she just shoved me away. She slashed

Annabeth's arm and goldish blood gushed out. She smiled maliciously.

"Here," she said nonchalantly as she threw Bob the knife. As Bob wrote with the blood, I noticed that Jason and Damasen were avoiding eye contact with Thalia. I was staring at her with wide eyes. We all subconsciously scooted away from her.

"Done," Bob called. I read the note.

ᗪEᗩᖇ ᗪEᗰIGOᗪᔕ,

It took me a while to realize that I could read this with no problem. Then I noted that the Titan had a pretty nice handwriting. I frowned. I guess becoming immortal removed the dyslexia, but not the ADHD.

Thalia smiled, not so creepy anymore. "Thanks, Bob."

"How do we send it though?" Jason asked.

"Easy. We just burn it up with the fire as a sacrifice," He stated. He started a fire, (I, however did not know how on earth- er in earth, he did that, and tossed the paper in.

"Camp Half-Blood," he muttered.

Now all we do is wait. Seems easy. Unless you're a demigod with ADHD.

Zeus's POV

I paced around the throne room nervously. My son had told me the real fight was coming soon. It wasn't until Chiron had trotted in before I stopped.

"Milord! The demigods had completed their quest. They need a way out of Tartarus!" He exclaimed.

I raised an eyebrow. Wouldn't they be able to use their powers? I then shrugged.

"Alert Athena. She'll know what to do," I announced. I did not have time for this. I have got to prepare.

Athena's POV.

Chiron entered trotting into my palace. I was researching battle strategies and figuring out how exactly we were going to battle. I set my book down as he bowed.

"Lady Athena," he greeted.

"Hello, Chiron. What have you come for?" I questioned.

"I believe the demigods have retrieved Annabeth and Jason. They, however, have no way out of Tartarus. Do you have any possible solutions?" He asked nervously.

I frowned. "The best way would be to send a rope down, but how are we supposed to know where they are?"

"I suppose we could send Piper and Leo down there," Chiron suggested. "Then they could find the demigods and lead them back to the rope."

"That would be the logical thing to do... Go to Hephaestus's forge and ask him for a lengthy rope." I replied. "Ask him to do it as a favor for me."

Chiron nodded and galloped away. I smiled happily. My daughter was coming back.
