[Oh gosh I'm so, super sorry about this chapter coming out so late! But enjoy the fluff and stuffzies :D]

The sun climbed up on the beautiful skyline of Raygate and its rays filtered through Elijah's room windows and lit up the entire room, bed and all. Elijah awoke from his deep sleep and his eyes fluttered open. He nuzzled the soft, fluffy hair that was Ngaire's head and moved aside to gaze at her lovingly.

Ngaire yawned snuggling deeper into Elijah's chest and she replayed yesterday's events with a smile. Yesterday had been the best day ever for her since she'd gotten to spend it with Elijah. Speaking of which, she opened her eyes to look at the person she'd been thinking about and her smile turned into a fond one.

Elijah caught her fond smile and nuzzled her cheek gently, which Ngaire returned only happily. He chuckled and stroked her back gently and pressed a kiss to her forehead which made her blush slightly under her dark grey fur.

"So, my darling Ngaire~ I have an idea of what to do on this wonderful Saturday~" He said softly and smiled at her.

"Oh? Pray tell, my dear Elijah." She replied as her tone turned slightly teasing. He blushed and nuzzled their noses together and smiled.

"We could go out for a picnic on Tire Hill, it's beside Blackbrook." He said softly and her ears perked up and her soft eyes looked up into his.

"A date?" She asked cheekily and smirked at him. He blushed and nodded before sitting up and smiling at his crush.

"I'll go prepare the food and we can lay on a blanket on Tire Hill." He mused softly and Ngaire got up, her eyes wide with happiness.

"Can I help you? Please, please, please?" She asked giving him her best cute face and Elijah accepted while trying not to giggle at the face she pulled. They both got out of bed and used separate bathroooms to wash up and get changed. They met in the kitchen and started working in tandem to make sandwiches and drinks for both themselves and Elijah's parents.

A while later, they finish preparing food and drinks. Ngaire brings over a big plate of sandwiches to Elijah's parents and curtsies politely as she held it out to Phillip and Bertha. They thanked her profusely and gratefully. She trotted back to Elijah in the kitchen and hugged his warm body and laid her head on his shoulder, looking up at him with a cute face and a bright smile.

He rubbed her gentle arms and looked at her, pecking her forehead gently. She let out a soft squeak and giggled before nuzzling into his fuzzy neck and enjoying his warmth. He packed up all their food and drinks in a basket that could hold its weight and set it on the counter top.

Turning around, he embraced her and kissed her cheeks which earned him a rather blushy girl in his arms. He laughed softly at her reaction and she hid her face in his chest. Gently, he stroked her back and kissed her neck gently which caused her to grip onto his shirt tightly as she tried not to moan and she came out of his chest with the cutest pout she could manage.

"Aw, now isn't that the cutest thing ever~" He said and pecked her nose. She giggled and skipped off to his room, her tail waving around excitedly. Quietly, she closed his door and changed into something more fitting for outerwear and then opened his door and gestured to him to come in. He blushed and walked into his room before closing the door.

"Aren't you gonna turn away while I change?" He asked sheepishly and she gave him a grin.

"Nope~" She replied and he blushed badly before taking off his sleeping clothes and putting on a nice set of clothes that were probably the nicest set of hand-me-downs he had. She looked at him and walked over to wrap her arms around him.

"N-Ngaire? W-what's the matter?" He asked softly and stroked her head. She shook her head and looked up, smiling happily at him.

"Nothing's the matter, dear, I just love that you're doing your best for me. I know that you're not from the most well to do family but seeing you get out your best, just for me...it's just so touching." She whispered and he kissed the top of her head and stayed there for a few seconds to hopefully calm her down.

She felt her heartbeat slow down. Looking up at him, she flashed him a happy grin and nuzzled his warm chest. He giggled and stroked her back gently.

"Darling, we should probably go now if we want to get there on time and enjoy the view~" He mused and she nodded. Her heart was beating much faster as she was excited beyond words.

Her first, proper, date.

With Elijah!

He took up the basket of prepared food and made his way to the door, his arm outstretched towards Ngaire. She clasped her hands together and glanced up, from the floor, to him and smiled shyly.

"See you later mum and dad!" He shouted into the house and they cheered him on.

"You go, son! Go get that sweet girl and bring us back your firstie!" Philip called back and Bertha burst out laughing. Elijah's tail twitched slightly and Ngaire swung her tail over and caught his by accident. He looked down and blushed when she wrapped her tail around his loosely. Almost like her tail was holding his. She let out a soft squeak and he purred softly.

"Come on dear, time to go~" He squeezed her paw gently and left the house for Tire Hill.

Tree Hill is a big hill that was originally almost a mountain, but then the King decided to build walls and part of the hill was cut off. Some parts that remained broke off as well. However, most of it remained and the peak still overlooks the city. At its peak, complete with a romantic bench and a tree for shade, was above the walls and anyone who sat there would have the best view of the sunset.

But, now it was an unused hill because some shops opened at the ground level of Blackbrook and people flocked to there instead. The hill had its peak and it also had a resting area about halfway up. It was flat and had fluffy, green grass all over it.

They walked for about a half hour and they finally reached the base of Tire Hill.

He was carrying the duffle bag with the basket in his left hand while Ngaire's paw was in his right.

"This hill's name a quite ironic, don't you think so?" He asked her and she tilted her head to one side.

"Why do you say so?" She asked in return.

"Because by the time people get there, they're already tire-ed~" He teased and she burst out laughing and he joined in.

He smiled and looked at Ngaire lovingly before up at the steps to the resting area.

"Wanna get piggybacked up the hill?" He asked and giggled. However, she shook her head and put her hands on his shoulders.

"Your back's still healing baby, you should pass me the food and groundsheet." She tried to reason but he shook his head and kissed her cheek.

"Go up first sweetie, I'll be right behind you." He replied and smiled at her. She nodded and gave him a soft kiss on his cheek and skipped up the steps happily. He followed her up like a little dog and after a bit of a climb, they reached the resting area. Boy, was he glad there was one here.

He sighed softly and took a deep breath before getting up and unzipped the duffel bag. The brownish and slightly greyed groundsheet was worn in some places and had some holes in it but it was clean.

He laid it out and out the duffel bag in one corner and the basket in another. Quickly, he removed two bottles of water and put each on the other 2 respective corners.

She smiled at him and laid down in the warm glow of the sun. Her head tilted back and he happened to glance at her posing for him.

"Aw, getting ready to have some fun in the sun?" He rhymed and she let out a giggle, craving into his lap and laid her head down on his leg.

"I'm kind of comfortable where I am right...now~" She said, stretching the second last word until her head touched his leg.

He smiled and stroked her head and fur gently. She pursed her lips and relaxed, leaning into his gentle strokes as she purred. He giggled and head bumped her lips, giving himself a forehead kiss. She giggled and reached up to stroke his head in return.

He smiled and nuzzled her cheeks gently. She opened her eyes, only to meet his and they locked eyes for a couple of seconds before he spoke softly.

"Shall we eat, my love?" He asked and smiled. She nodded and kissed his cheek gently.

"Yes please!" She replied and sat up excitedly. He smiled and took a slightly dirty Styrofoam box out of the basket and took out a cold bottle of water for her. He handed it to her and closed the box, placing it back inside the basket.

"Mmm, this is really, really cold!" She mused and he laughed softly.

"Of course it is! It's kept in the box which insulates the cold." He said as a matter-a-factly. She blushed and nodded, shuffling closer and taking his hand and placing the bottle in it. She kissed his cheek and crawled to the basket and grabbed the 2 plastic cups she had brought along. She had washed them earlier and she took back the bottle and handed him the cup.

He smiled and watched as she poured the chilly water into his cup and he drank it. The feeling of the cold water sliding down his throat made him shiver slightly.

"That felt good~" He said and winked at Ngaire. That wink earned him a blush and a gentle, yet playful slap to his shoulder.

"Hey, no teasing~" She said, giving him her cutest pout. He kissed her cheeks and rubbed them gently.

"Hehe, I'll tease you more then!" He said and she blushed a darker red under her fur. He could see her blush and he started to feel his cheeks get warmer.

And so, they teased each other and talked about Ngaire's and Elijah's parents and what they did for their living or what they used to do, in the case of Elijah's parents.

The afternoon passed by in a blink of an eye and the sun was on the wall of the city. Elijah looked at Ngaire and smiled.

"Follow me up to the top!" He said and started packing everything. Ngaire scrambled to her feet and helped to fold and pack the groundsheet into the duffel bag. He took the basket and the bag and led her up to the peak of Tire Hill where the light of the setting sun was still flowing. He caught her hand and led her up to the bench and sat her down on his left after placing the bag and basket down.

She looked at the setting sun and he turned to look at her. Gently and softly, he cupped her cheek and she turned back at his loving touch. She purred softly and he glanced to the side to see the sun's outline almost disappearing into the horizon.

"Ngaire...will you...be mine forever? No matter what?" He asked and smiled lovingly at her.

"Course I will, I'll always be with you and love you, no matter what!" She promised and smiled lovingly back at him, meaning every word. He smiled, feeling butterflies in his stomach as he fought against stammering to get out a phrase he had been practising since he met her.

"I l-love you Ngaire, s-since I m-met you. I-I'll never stop, never ever!" He said and glanced at her lips and looked up at her soft grey eyes. She too glanced at his lips and looked back up to meet his gaze.

"I love you too Elijah, for a while now and you saving me from Darian made me realise how much you meant to me. I'll never stop l-loving you too!" She proclaimed and he leant in to kiss her after a year of waiting. She met him half way and they embraced each other. Their lips locked in a passionate love and lust kiss. He ran his fingers through her hair and pulled her deeper into the kiss as she slipped her fingers through his soft hair and did the same.

Hs heart started to beat a little faster and he swore he could feel her heart beating at almost the same pace as his. The kiss was indescribable as it felt like a million stars exploding in their mouths, except that it was pleasure flowing through their bodies. Their tongues jabbed at each other's mouth and they opened almost instantaneously to let each other's tongue in. The muscles ground against each other and spurts of pleasure shot through their bodies.

Both their eyes were closed but they started to open as they started to break away to avoid doing anything they might regret later on.

"N-Ngaire...I-I love you so, so much...y-you took my first kiss too..." He said while panting softly.

"I l-love you too..." She said, panting slightly then blushing. "R-Really?" He nodded shyly and giggled softly. Regrettably, Darian, being the bastard that he was, had taken her first kiss before Elijah could when he was showing her off in the hallways, he'd purposely kiss her in front of everyone but that kiss had been better than any kiss she'd had with that sleazeball.

The sun had set and the lamps around the city lit up quickly as the crackling of electricity filled the city. He smiled and kissed her forehead gently.

"Come on, I'll bring you back home ok?" He said and she nodded.

"Okay," she said smiling
