It has been exactly a week since Kyungsoo and Chanyeol had left Japan.
Being back home felt a little weird for Kyungsoo specially that he spent most of his days in Tokyo with Nam Jihyun. Though, before they went their separate ways, Kyungsoo and Jihyun promised each other to keep in touch.
—One week earlier, Tokyo-
Kyungsoo had walked Jihyun to her room, both were a little drunk after spending their last night together at a karaoke bar.
He wrapped his arm around her and she held him tight on his waist, both supporting each other to avoid from falling.
Finally, they stopped at the front of Jihyun's hotel room and she finally let go of Kyungsoo's waist to insert her room card onto the keycard slot on the door. She smiled at him before turning the knob to unlock the door.
Kyungsoo leaned on the wall watching her every move. She glanced at him again to greet him goodbye but instead she was greeted with him gently placing his hand on top of her hand that remained on the doorknob as if telling her not to leave him.
She looked at their hands and then she stared at him, her eyes glistening at the sight of his face that revealed his sharp jaw from the lighting of the hallway.
"Jihyun, can we see each other again?" Kyungsoo asked.
His deep yet attractive voice sent chills through her spine and all she could do was nod and give the beautiful man in front of her a small smile.
He wanted to kiss her there, maybe it was the amount of alcohol they had that was giving him some kind of motivation but he also knew that he truly wanted to kiss her there.
The way she looked at him sent his heart racing and that shy smile telling him to not let go of her at this moment.
When he noticed he held his hand on top of hers awkwardly, he let go of her so she could open the door.
Before she walked in, she looked at her once more to ask him something she's been itching to ask, "Oppa, do you want coffee? Before you go?"
For jihyun, this was just another way of getting him to stay a little longer before they part ways. Do kyungsoo was a busy man and at this very moment, she wanted him as long as she could
Though the complimentary hotel coffee tasted good anyway, offering him to stay in her room though...might get a little awkward.
Kyungsoo's eyes suddenly widened and his brows arched. "I mean if it's okay with you."
"Of course it's okay, I did ASK you" she scoffed
"I mean... a man in your room...what would your parents say?!" Kyungsoo joked and laughed at his own joke.
"I'd say 'he's not a man, he's do kyungsoo, SM's greatest vocalist" she joked back
"Okay, that's a little much but if you insist, i'll stay for a bit"
They both walked into the room and it was a pretty good size for her. It wasn't too big nor too small, just right.
Kyungsoo, who was still a bit drunk, followed Jihyun and kept his eyes fixed on her as she made coffee for him. It was almost like two lovers' first honeymoon except obviously instead of red wine it's the complimentary hotel room coffee.
She felt him looking at herand she couldn't help but laugh, "what is it?!!"
He shook his head and smiled. Kyungsoo was lost in her beauty and he knew that looking away would be stupid of him.
She handed him a cup and sat on the bed while leaning on the headboard and he sat on the couch, facing her. The silence in the room was almost obvious as they both started to hear each other breathing. Even the god awful space between the couch and the bed was frustrating them.
And she knew he was uncomfortable by the looks of him staying still on the couch not even drinking the coffee just...hiding his face on the cup.
Jihyun looked up from her cup and called Kyungsoo, "come here, sit with me"
Kyungsoo got up from the couch and onto the edge of the bed. He didn't know where to sit exactly on the bed. Whether it'd be next to her or just to give her as much space on the bed because after all, it was HER bed.
She laughed at him.
He looked up from his cup "What?!"
Jihyun patted the space next to her as if inviting him to lay next to her.
He followed her demands almost immediately once again.
As a gentleman, of course, Kyungsoo kept a space between them leaning back on the headboard as they watched a random Japanese show together.
Moments later, Jihyun began drifting off to sleep and she didn't even realize that she was now inching closer to him, slowly and cautiously. When she reached him, she placed her head onto his shoulder.
She was now showing affection to him this time. She wanted to let him know that she was perfectly okay with them like this and that if he would have left now, quite possibly, they'll never get a chance to be with each other again, atleast as close as they were now.
At first, Jihyun didn't know what she felt for her co-star but for the past few days, and only in the past few days, she can feel that there is something there. Not the kind of 'something' she felt with her other handsome costars, this...this was different. Her feelings for Kyungsoo was different. Sure, her other costars made her heart flutter, but with Kyungsoo not only did it flutter, being around him made her feel truly happy.
Kyungsoo reached for the face that remained on his shoulder.
He looked at her longingly and when she notices this, she, too, stared at him and yet no words came out of their mouth.
As time passed, Kyungsoo rubbed his eyes only to wake up to her head, buried on his chest.
They had fallen asleep and he didn't even remember how or when they did.
He looked at the time on his watch and realized it was now 3 AM and that he only has three hours to get to the hotel room to get ready for his flight back to Korea.
He started to carefully get up but her arms around him tightened.
Kyungsoo couldn't help but smile at her sleeping face. She was still beautiful even though her make up was almost completely gone. He assumed it was rubbed off on his shirt sometime in the night.
"Jihyun~ah maybe I should go?" Kyungsoo whispered as he tried waking her up by gently brushing and massaging her scalp.
"Hm?" Jihyun murmured.
Kyungsoo giggled.
When she did move her head from his chest, it was only to bury it on his neck.
Kyungsoo felt her cold cheek against his and her hot breath on his neck that sent shivers down his spine.
He brushed another strand of hair away from her delicate face, "Jihyun~ah" his sweet voice echoed, "it's 3 am, i have a flight at 8."
She lifted her head and realized she was invading his space.
"Oppa?" Her brows arched.
Kyungsoo quickly got up and leaned back on the headboard smirking, "Well...you sleep well..."
She looked around a bit confused, "did you?"
"Did i what?"
The choice of words from her question threw him off.
"I meant did you sleep well!!!" She responded immediately.
They both laughed at the thought.
"I did" he smirked.
Kyungsoo then got up from the bed and began fixing his shirt that she had messed up from all her moving around, "I should go." Kyungsoo said.
She nodded and started to get up but he stopped her.
"Anniya~ i'll be fine. You stay here and sleep." He smiled.
Still, Jihyun got up and kneeled on the bed and gestured for him to stand in front of her.
When he got to her, she began fixing his shirt collar and another smile crept up on his face as he watched her.
He already misses her even if she was right there in front of him. She'd be back in a week in Korea and god knows what will happen with them in Korea. What matters is the time they spent together in Tokyo because it brought them closer together but he couldn't help thinking about not being with her after this morning.
"Oppa, promise we'll see each other again even if we're busy" Jihyun said.
"I promise."
The thought of having a busy schedule occured to Kyungsoo again. He knew that this was going to be a problem for the both of them. Not to mention, the amount of fans that follow him in Korea will also be a problem. Nonetheless, he knew that he had to keep his promise this time, for her, no...for them.
Jihyun suddenly looked back at the end table by the bed only to take a peek at the coffee cup there, "I just realized..." she looked back at him as both her hands touched the back of his neck, "you didn't even touch your coffee."
They both laughed but the laugh suddenly dissipated.
Kyungsoo noticed she had unwrapped her hands away from his neck and the sudden sad expression written all over her face.
He gently lifted her chin to make her look up at him, "Even if we're busy...." he said as he placed a soft kiss on her forehead, "....I promise"
And then...he was gone.
