Maddie's POV
Late in the night before we left, I got a call from Mrs. Hyland saying that I should come quick. It was about Josh. Why would I want to see that jurk. He dumped me and I still don't know why!
I politely rejected the invitation.
Mrs. Hyland hung up. She seemed sad and almost... Desperate.

My alarm clock app woke me for the second time with a upbeat version of Shake it Off, my new favorite song. I tiredly stumbled out of bed, NOT ready to tackle the day. All in all, I wanted to crawl in a hole and die. But the cherry on top of the unwanted cake was when a voice a became all to familiar with rang my name.
"Maddie Ziegler to the principal office."
So this Can't Shake it Off thing is like a series inside a book.......
