Present Day

You shift awake, glancing around, your eyes settling on a clean-shaven man standing in front of the cell bars who motioned the guards to take you away back to the Reassessing room. The guards grabbed you by your aching shoulders and dragged you away. As you passed the man, your eyes turn to anger, remembering who he was.

"Take him inside and wait for further instructions. I'm sure Professor Flune will have his fun with the boy. His mind is going through the 2nd to the last step in the completion process." The man grinned and walked down the opposite way of the hall with his head high.

The walk was long to get from the cell to the room, as always. Your knees buckled with exhaustion, crying when the guard shoved you even further to get moving. Feet shuffled through the hall and soon enough they were there. The left bigger guard shoved you inside and slammed the concrete door shut with a loud thud that echoed throughout the room. There was a hesitation before you stood in the dim lit room.

"Hello, (Y/N), what a pleasure to meet you at last." A man with a grey monocle leaned forwards, his skin meeting the lighter dimness of the room.

You stepped back, unsure of what to make of the situation. "What have you done with her?" The voice came out dry. He had to know what you were talking about.

"Oh, you mean your mom?. She's fine . . . for now. How about if you take a seat, my boy, and we'll talk about some things." His calloused hand motioned towards a wooden chair in front of you. You looked closer, seeing red blotches that looked to be smeared in a failed attempt to clean.

"I'm fine where I am." Crossing your arms, you leaned back against the opposite wall. The monocle man eyed you as you did so.

The man sighed, standing up, which made your nerves even more unsettled. "Excuse me, where are my manners?" He half-bowed and walked over to you now about four feet away, stopping. "My name's Professor Flune, but you can call me Professor. Please. Take a seat."

What could you have done? Stand until your weakened form crumpled? You sat on the chair as instructed and glanced around the room once more, collecting energy for your muscles.

"Why am I here? Where're my parents? And where the hell are we?!" You're eyebrows furrowed when the man across from you laughed. Laughed.

"Poor, poor boy. Your parents are safe in the facility. They didn't want you anymore. Do you see? We are your family now. We always have been and we shalt be, like it or not." He smiled with yellow broken teeth, which made your hairs stand. You did not like this man.

Flune studied your face for a short moment, then continued. "You are in the second completion of your state. I would recommend you calm down before we begin."

Your blood boiled wondering what he was going to do to you. What they were planning with you. The second completion? What was that supposed to mean?

"What do you want from me-" Your voice was cut from curiosity as the professor walked out of the room. "The heck.." You stood once more, pacing the room. They were planning something. You had noticed that but what were there exact motives? Planning to kill you wasn't in their vocabulary.

Your thoughts were interrupted when the door opened to reveal the clean-shaven, buster built man walking inside, shutting it behind him. "Hello. I'm sure you remember me." He smiled as he walked closer to you.

Suddenly your chair had shifted into a metal one, shoving you back onto a leaned table. You breathed in fear but sighed it off, being tough for the man, knowing what was coming next. I should've fought earlier when I had the chance.

The man grinned with this time, perfect teeth. Wanting to get away, you sat up, or so you thought you would. The table had clamped restraints to your back, wrists, and ankles. "P-please don't do this. I just want my family safe."

"Oh, your family is safe. Or will be safe. If you refuse to do this, your family will be killed. Let's just keep this to a minimal, shall we?" His voice was toned with authority and carved with years of experience. He moved closer with a black-sleeked remote.

"I don't even know what this is!!" You looked with defiance into the man's eyes, trying to plant his motives.

The man just simply shrugged and moved the remote closer. "You won't know what this is after this." With that, he pressed the remote to your side.

What happened next you hadn't remembered. There were people in white coats around you, a man screaming in another language. Your vision goes black, your mind blank and body numb.

-------------------------------------------------

You wake up to another voice. . . . . "Просыпайся!, Просыпайся!"

Your body was suddenly jerked into an upright position. Snapping into the position, there were distant screams and clatters outside. "стенд" The man in front of you signaled for another man to take over, next to you.

"Steh auf, Junge." The second man spoke in a somewhat deeper rolled accent. Your mind went in circles, but still, you complied, standing to your feet. Unexpectedly, the room went bright, making your lids close halfway. Through the door came multiple voices, in which you could tell was a struggle. You stood straight when the door slammed open. A man and a woman knelt before you. There faces beat and worn.

Do I know these people? Your mind shook when the man called out a name in your direction. You tried to remember, you yearned to remember, but there was a black hole eating your thoughts.

"(Y/N)! (Y/N)! Listen! We will get you ou-" The man's face was hit with a barrel, making him reel back into the guard holding the gun to him. The man coughed blood and straightened on his knees. You frowned, trying to remember him.

The professor walked and you felt a comforting hand behind you on your back. "Sie haben dich betrogen. Sie kümmern sich nicht mehr um dich. Vergiss sie. Sie sind eine vergessene Erinnerung, nur um in den Schlamm geschoben zu werden."(They betrayed you. They don't care about you anymore. Forget them. They are a forgotten memory only to be shoved in the mud.) Your eyes looked still into the man in front of you. You felt a hand holding out something. A gun. In your direction, so you grab it, not knowing why you were handed it.

"Beende diesen Mann und erfülle deine Mission." Your hand shook as you rose the tip of the gun towards the man who had once been recognized. You fingered the trigger, looking into the man's wide eyes of fear and confusion . . . and pressed down. There was a loud bang that rang through the room as the man dropped to his side, lifeless. There was a voice of praise behind you.

"Gut. Gut. Jetzt beende es." The original man next to the professor was praising him. You lifted the gun towards the woman and stopped. Her face was wrinkled with sadness and raw fear. She stared into your soul and clouded your mind. You drop the gun and step back. The recognition boring through your brain.

"M-mom?" The man spoke from you with a dry croak. The woman cried and pulled forwards to embrace her son, but the moment was short-lived. The guard pulled her back and started kicking her.

She gasped in pain but met with her son's eyes after the final blow. Her eyes became almost dry as she lifted them up for one last word. "Son..."

The man scoffed behind you, picking up the discarded gun and finished the job. The woman's body crumpled next to the man's. Your eyes showed horror when the guards picked them up and went through the doors never to be seen again.

I could've done som- no, this isn't how it was supposed to end . . . You fall to your kneels feeling a tremendous loss of someone; someone's you used to know. A scream follows. One of pure desperation of wanting them back. Your memories seem to start fading again, your eyes going dark, wanting revenge of the man who had done this.

There's a distant shout across the hall outside, which you could partially hear. 'Get to the ships!' You rocked on your feet as the ground shook with a boom and crack. The man behind you grabs your shoulder hard, shoving you to your feet, pushing you through the door into the broken hallway. Everything seems to be in a shade of greyish red. The guards and men, running from room to room seeking where it had come from.

You hope only in the back of your mind, that your rescuer has come to save you. The loud words ring through your ears as you're suddenly shoved again, feeling a new numb pain in your right leg. Finally reaching the cell, you were put in, the clean-shaven man faces you once more before leaving. "You will do great and mighty things for us, (Y/N). You just wait and see." He smirked, pressing a button, which shackled you into the corner.

The sound of distant explosions could be heard as you try to fall asleep. Just to forget about what had happened. What's going to happen. You slump down in the corner, burying your face in your hands and knees, crying.
