The Next Day
Derek's pov
"Where is he? Jason where do you think Justin could be?" I ask him
"I don't know Derek, but wherever he is I hope he's okay" he tells me
Justin never came home yesterday and we're all really worried about him
"Jason what if he's hurt somewhere? Or what if he's been kidnapped?" I ask him paceing back and forth across the room
"Derek that's unlikely to ever happen" he tells me
"No I'm serious Jason it isn't funny" I say
"Alright and I know it isn't funny come on let's go out and look for him" he says grabbing his keys. We headed out the door and got into Jason's car. He started the car up and he pulled out.
"Where do you want to go first?" He asks me
"I don't know Jase I'm just really worried about him he's our baby brother" I say with tears brimming my eyes. I looked out the window and looked for Justin's car. While Jason drove past everything I thought about the last thing Justin said to us. We went past the park and I saw Justin's car.
"Jason I found Justin's car!" I say and he hit the breaks
"Where?" He asks me
"The park" I say good thing no one's around he took a turn and headed to the park. Jason pulled into the parking lot up next to Justin's car. I got out and walked up to his car and the doors wide open. I looked on the side and there's dry blood here.
"Hey look someone left their phone" I hear Jason say as he picked it up.
"Weird this is Hunter's phone" he says as he looked at the lock. How does he know? Cause there's a picture of him and Bently on the front of it.
"Well it's pretty obvious we know where he is. You take Justin's car and I'll go to Hunter's" he says I drove off in Justin's car and Jason left in his.
Later That Same Day
Jason's pov
I swear if they did anything to Justin those fuckers are going down! No one and I mean no one messes with my little brother. As I drove to Hunter's house the only thing I could think about was Justin and what could be happening to him right now. It's Friday so he should still be at school.
I pulled up in front of his house and saw that his car is gone. I got out and closed my car door quietly and headed around the back of the house.
I peeked inside all the widows and looked for Justin. As I was looking through the windows I saw Hunter? If he's here then where's his car? Shit! In the gurage I forgot all about that. I got around to the back porch and he was leaving the kitchen. I quietly tried to turn the knob and it wouldn't turn. I knelt down and decided to pick it. Once I heard a click it was unlocked.
I opened the door and walked inside while shutting the door behind me. I walked in the direction that Hunter has went and it lead me straight to a door. I heard footsteps coming towards the door and hid. It opened to reveal Hunter, Allen, and Logan. Logan? Why him?
"Dude he's such a little bitch crying and asking us not hurt him" Hunter says
"Yeah especially when you decided to give him a little pay back for letting his brother get you suspended" Allen says I waited for Logan to say something, but he never did.
"What was your favorite part from last night Logan?" Hunter asks him I could see this pained look in his eyes.
"Uh I guess when he said your never gonna get away with this" he says
"Oh another favorite part of mine was when you, you know" Allen says
"Oh yeah now that I enjoyed a lot his face pressed to the floor and feeling his warmth around me" he says I could feel my blood boiling and I just wanted to beat the living hell out of all of them.
"Hey I promised my mom we'd all pick her up from the airport so let's go" Allen says they all left. I parked across the street in the Johnson's driveway.
Once I heard the car start and drive off I walked to the door. I turned the lock and headed down the stairs while quietly shutting the door behind me. I walked down the stairs and Justin must've heard me coming because his sobs started getting louder.
"No please don't hurt me I can't take this anymore just let me go" he says tears streaming down his face
"Jay? I'm not gonna hurt you it's me" I say
"That's not funny Hunter dont imitate my brother he doesnt even sound like that" he says angry
"Justin Drew" I say and he cried more. There was a single spotlight on him and I walked towards him.
"Look at me" I say as I knelt down in front of him. He looked at me with his dull hazel orbs and he cried.
"Jase is it really you?" He asked me
"Yeah its really me" I say as I started to untie him. I helped him up and he fell into my arms. I picked him up and I saw a door across the room. I walked over and looked out the window. I opened the door. Idot who doesn't lock their basement door? The airport is like a half an hour drive and I'm pretty sure they're on their way back. I shut the door and headed across the street. I opened the door to the backseat and laid Justin down. I hopped in front and headed home.
On the way home Justin had fallen asleep and if you're all wondering what I did with Hunter's phone I threw it out the window ten minutes ago. I felt my phone buzzing in my back pocket and I know exactly who's calling me.
Conversation between Jason and Derek
Jason: hello
Derek: did you find him?
Jason: yeah he's in the backseat sleeping we'll be there in five minutes
Derek: alright see you when you get here
End of conversation between Jason and Derek
Derek hung up and I leaned my head against the window as I drove and felt relief cause Justin is with me.
I pulled up into the driveway and got out. I shut my door while heading to the back to get Justin. I gently picked him up and shut the door with my foot. I headed to the front door and headed inside. As soon as I got through the door I saw everyone that we usually hang out with. I just headed to Justin's room and laid him down. I slipped his shoes off and I knelt down to look at his face.
Justin's lip is busted while his left eye and cheek are bruised. I ran my fingers through his hair and pushed his hair out of his eyes. I pecked him on his forehead and left his room.
I headed to the kitchen to get a water from the fridge.
"Hi" I hear a tiny voice say I looked down to see Jai. I smiled and knelt down in front of him.
"Hey little man it's great to see you" I say as I looked at him.
"I'm okay what happened to uncle Justin?" He asks me
"Oh he's okay I promise he was just out all night and he's really tired" I tell him
"Oh okay well can you tell him that I said I hope he feels better?" He asks me
"I sure will little man how was school?" I ask him
"It was okay except for this really mean kid pushed me down on the playground today" he tells me
"Oh well what did you do?" I ask him
"I kicked him in his nads then punched him in the stomach" he tells me
"Wow man, but you know hitting isnt a very nice thing to do" I tell him
"I know mommy's boyfriend said that it was okay" he says
"He did huh? What's his name?" I ask
"Who's name?" He asks
"Your uh mommy's friend" I say
"Oh his name is Brandon Beltcher" he says
"Alright well you tell Brandon that your daddy said that it's not nice to hit others" I say
"You know we happen to be standing right here" I hear someone say
"I looked up to see Amy and her terrible downgrade. I mentally laughed and rose to my feet while picking Jai up.
"No, but now I do and what makes you think that it's okay for you to be telling my son its okay for him to be hitting other kids?" I ask him
"Amy and I" he tells me
"What makes you think you have the right to do that your not his father" I say as Jai looked between us as we talked.
"I know I have the right because ive been more like a father to him than you have the past four years" he says
I could feel anger rising inside me and the need to hit something right now.
"Look I'm not gonna stand here and let you tell me what kind of father I am to my son! The Truth is that the only reason I was never around is because she finally decided to tell me a week and a half ago that I have a son. So don't stand there and tell me that I have never been there for my son" I say fighting back all the anger that I have.
"Daddy can we go kick the soccer ball around?" Jai asks me as I looked at him and gave him loving eyes
"If it's alright with your mom" I tell him as we both looked in Amy's direction.
"Go ahead" she says
"Yay!" Jai says as we head out the front door.
"Jai I wanna ask you something" I say as we get around the back of the house
"Yes daddy" he says
"Has Brandon done anything to hurt you or make you sad?" I ask him
"No why?" He asks me
"I just want to make sure that you're okay at home I want you to know that you can always come to me for anything" I tell him
"I know I can I love you daddy" he says
"I love you too so so much" I tell him while kissing him on the side of his face.
