Several Hours Later...
Beacon Academy Courtyard...
3rd Person POV
The sun had set sailed to the other side of Remnant, leaving behind it a broken reminder of itself through a moon amongst stars in the night. At a time when all the students have gathered in their dorms for a good night's rest, one sat in silence around the courtyard fountain. Gently rubbing a bruise that surrounded her left eye, she shivered as she reminisced the events that had unfolded several hours prior.
Weiss: Stop telling me what to do!
To do...!
To do....
To....
You've done nothing to earn your position!
Position...!
Position...
Po.....
Ozpin made a mistake-.
Ryoma: Miss Schnee.
Weiss: Eeep!
Opening her eyes, the young girl shrieked at the Tenno's presence, unaware of his entrance as she thought she was only one awake. Taking a step back, the Tenno asked in a worried tone.
Ryoma: I apologize if I'm interrupting something, but...
Recieving one of Weiss' infamous glares, the Tenno continued.
Ryoma: I just... came to see if you were alright.
Sighing in response, the young snow haired girl looked away at the Tenno, responding with a hint of sadness.
Weiss: Yeah... I'm fine.
Ryoma: Your tone says otherwise.
Approaching the large stone fountain, the Tenno sat down beside the saddened ice queen.
Ryoma: I apologize if it's about our match earlier.
Noticing a small portion of her black eye, the Tenno cringed internally at his own action.
Ryoma: I kinda got....carried.....away..
Weiss: It's fine, I...
Ryoma: Or is it something bigger than that.
A bit hesitant, the young girl responded.
Weiss: I'm... fine.
Taking a deep breath, the Tenno stood up from his spot and spoke before starting to leave.
Ryoma: I was just trying to help.
Shaking her head in shame as she listened to the footsteps of the Tenno leave her, she finally spoke up.
Weiss: I really shouldn't, but....
Weiss: Wait!
Stopping himself short, in a state of suspenss, the Tenno turned himself around as she hesitantly continued.
Ryoma: What's this?
Weiss: I.... I wanted to...
Ryoma: Yes?
The young girl sighed.
Weiss: I only wanted to fight you at your best to prove a point. A point that quite frankly backfired...
Ryoma: ?
Weiss: ...unfortunately. I just...
Ryoma: I dont understand your logic, or-.
Weiss: Do you think Ozpin made a mistake?
Completely lost, the Tenno shrugged in response, much to Weiss' dismay.
Ryoma: I... don't know what you mean by-.
Weiss: I think I should have been the leader of Team RWBY!
Then the realization kicked in.
Ryoma: Ooooooooohhhhhhh....
Sitting back down onto the fountain beside her, the Tenno continued on.
Ryoma: That. Well....
The Tenno sighed.
Ryoma: I can't say I agree.
Weiss: What!?
Ryoma: Ow.
Weiss: How can you just say that so blindly!? Do you really think Ruby Rose would make a better leader than me, or even you!?
Ryoma: I... I would not make a great leader under any circumstance. As for you, I will admit you possess a great amount of skill on the battlefield. That skill, however, is tainted by your often sour personality.
Scoffing at the idea, Weiss objected.
Weiss: How dare you!
Ryoma: And there proves my point.
Weiss: I...
A bit of silence followed before she finally admitted the truth.
Weiss: Alright, fine. I'll admit. I can be sometimes...difficult.
The Tenno raised an eyebrow in response.
Ryoma: Sometimes?
Slouching over, she continued.
Weiss: Fine. I am difficult to talk to.
Ryoma: Now you're being honest.
She began pointing at him.
Weiss: And I don't think you're a saint by any means.
The Tenno chuckled in response.
Ryoma: You're right. I'm not.
The remark even prompted Weiss to join in as well.
Weiss: I figured that much...
Ryoma: When it comes to Ruby, you're judging a book by just it's cover alone. Let it open up, read a few chapters, then make your personal choice on her. I'll be honest, she does do childish things that I think no other person in her shoes would do, but... I haven't seen what she's actually capable of. If we really want to see her succeed as a leader, then we as a team need to be at our best. Hone our skills, perfect every technique, guide her to our goals.
Hearing those thoughts of wisdom, the young girl looked away from the Tenno and smiled. Standing up from the fountain, the Tenno began to stretch out his arms before gesturing to the girl beside him.
Ryoma: We should probably get to bed, now.
Weiss: ....yeah. We should.
Ryoma: I can do something about that mark around your eye if you like?
Weiss: That'd be appreciated.
Ryoma: At the very least... I finally got through to that woman
