October 30th
Dear Diary,
I've always been different from everyone else around here.... My skin is tan like theirs, but I have firey red hair, crystal blue eyes, and a small petite build. I am shorter than most, I stand at 5'4". My wolf is an amazing shewolf who's name is Foxy, I can talk to her but I have yet to fully shift. People around here say I'm weird and shouldn't be talked to because I'm different, the way I see it, I'm unique.
Today is my 18th birthday and I'm supposed to be able to find my mate at midnight. Then, after we complete the mating bond, I can finally fully shift into my wolf! Honestly, I'm not very excited because that just means I figure out how I look in my wolf form and I know it'll be shocking.
Everything I do or am is shocking to this pack, it annoys me. It also means finding a mate, and I don't want one. A mate means that I am tied down to someone the rest of my life and have to raise pups and all this crap. They expect you to stay at home, clean, raise the pups, tend to their every need, and always obey. I don't want that life, I want to be free and explore the world. I want to do something exciting with my life that makes the world see I'm not a freak.
I know most girls want to find a good wolf, settle down, have pups, and be a pathetic little house wife. I know there is something more though. Mom and dad still remind me to keep my powers secret, they say that people will want me dead or try using me for their own use. Not even our own alpha knows about my secret abilities.
I must go now, I have training with Damian in an hour and still need to shower and eat. Plus, it's my birthday, I'm going to have fun! Thank you for listening to me diary, I owe you. You'll never know how great it is to talk to someone and let all this out.

Rose Marie Jones
I turned from my desk and quickly hid my diary behind my dresser in its secret spot. Just as I sat down on my bed, my mother came in smiling. She has a slim figure, dark blue eyes, tan skin, and ling brown hair.
"Damien is here early." She said still doing that strange smile. "Happy birthday babygirl! I can't believe you're 18!"
"Thanks mom. And? He always comes early then has to wait for me to shower and all. Its not different then normal." I said shrugging my shoulders.
"Yes, but," she said sitting beside me, "he has also brought the alpha with him."
I looked at her strangely and leaned back slightly "Why is the alpha here? He isn't a trainer."
"No, but he has heard how you have beaten all of the trainers and wants to see how strong you really are. He is here to observe and what happens after that, is out of our hands." She said proudly.
"I guess. I can't use my ma-" I was cut off quickly by my mother. She grabbed my hand and dragged me into my bathroom, locking the door.
"Do not use it at all! We need to keep this our secret, Rose. You need to be careful. I'm not trying to scare you by saying they will try to either kill or use you, I'm telling you the truth! You are our baby girl and we will protect you all we can. But if our secret gets out, there is only so much we can do...."
I nodded my head and smiled, giving my mother a hug. "I promise, I'll try to keep as much control as I can. I'll do my best mom, I give you my word."
"That's my girl. Now get a very fast shower, don't want to keep our guests waiting."
After taking what seemed like the fastest shower of my life, I quickly threw on a sports bra, black tank top, and a pair of black shorts. Sliding on my converse, I threw my hair up in a ponytail and walked out of my room, closing the door behind me. Taking a few calming breaths at the staircase, I began walking down to the kitchen, as if it was any other day.
"As usual, the princess has to take her sweet time!" I heard Damien yell from the kitchen.
Walking in, I grabbed an apple and threw it at his head. "I took a shorter shower than normal! Your fault for always showing up at my house an hour early!"
"And if I didn't," he said walking over to me, "you'd miss my beautiful voice every morning that keeps yelling at you to hurry up."
We laughed and he hugged me tightly. Damien and I had been best friends for as long as I can remember. When everyone else hated me, he was curious and we've been best friends since. He was built, tan, green eyes and dark brown hair. He was super tall, about 6'4"! No matter what though, I would change a thing about the big goof.
"I guess I would, you are my best friend after all."
"Got that right! Happy birthday girl!" He said giving an even tighter hug.
"Thanks Damian" I said laughing.
I then turned my attention to the alpha who was sitting beside my father looking at me and Damien in confusion and.... something else. I don't know what though. The Alpha is beautifully tan, built, brown eyes, black hair, and about 6'7"! He can be sweet, though cruel at other times.
"And what may I owe this visit, Apha Micah?" I asked bowing head respectfully.
"I came to examine how your training is going, dear Rose. And please, you do not have to be so formal with me my child. Also, happy birthday, today is a big day for you." He said smiling at me softly.
"Well I hope not to disappoint you sir." I said smiling back.
"Well, shall we get started?" Damien said starting to walk towards the back door.
"Yes, lets." Alpha Micah said as he got up, said his farewells to my parents, and followed Damien.
"Happy birthday, angel," my father said as he got up to leave. "Ill see you later, and we have birthday plans with you this weekend, remember that!" He kissed my head and walked away.
"I love you daddy" I yelled at him. "Damien, you owe me food after this!" I yelled at him, jogging to catch up.
"Don't I always?" He claimed laughing. "Alright, now get it starting position. You ready?"
I got in my spot and took a few deep breaths. 'You ready Foxy?' I mentally asked my wolf. I got a low, challenging growl in response.
I smiled to myself, looking up at Damien, and gave him a challenging smile. "Lets do this!" I yelled as I charged towards him.
As training kept going I noticed that the alpha just stood by watching. I hit Damien one last, good time and he flew backwards into a tree. He grunted and I did a victory dance while bragging that he got beat up by a girl, again.
"Shut up Rose!" He said dusting himself off and walking, well, limping back over. "Good job kiddo, I definitely owe you lunch after that."
"Excellent job Rose. I had no idea you were so skilled in combat, and strong too. You just took out one of my best warriors." The alpha said with a hint of disbelief in his voice.
"Thank you alpha!" I said dusting myself off and checking for wounds. "Years of self defense and battle training with him and my father helps a lot."
"Indeed. Now, for your next test." He said getting off the grass and stretching.
"Wh-What next test? I thought you were just observing me, I can't fight the alpha! I won't, out of respect!" I said defensively.
"Whether you fight back or not is on you. But I will be fighting you." He said with a low growl.
Next thing I knew the alpha had charged and all I could do was dodge. I can't fight my alpha, if I hurt him badly I could get banished! If I get banished, I have no where to go, no one to stay with. I'd truly be on my own.
Before I knew it he attacked and next thing I knew I was on the ground with a cut above my eye. At that moment, instinct kicked in and all fears were gone. The moment my blood was spilt, I was in battle mode. 'He wants a fight, lets give him one Foxy. Remember, no magic.' I smiled when I heard a low growl and smiled daringly up at Micah.
"Never let your guard down child. Lesson number one." When he said that, he turned to walk away.
Next thing he knew, he was going face first into the dirt.
He looked back at me shocked and smiled with a challenge. "Lets do this kid, lets see what you've got." With that, real practice started. Who would win in the end? Now that, my dear, is the question.
