I woke up to my alarm. I look to my side and see Stefan groaning.
"Turn that shit off." He growled. I huffed and did as told.
"I have to get to-" my stomach bubbles and I groan.
"I need food." I complain.
"You always need food." He said, his face in the pillow. I couldn't be mad at him because it was true.
I walk downstairs and see Elena.
"Lena! Hey." I greet. She smiles sadly before linking arms and driving us to school.
When we meet up with Bonnie and Caroline we just stare at the school.
"Here we are. Senior year." Caroline said.
"Anyone else think it should be slightly more empowering?" Bonnie asks.
"If we weren't in the situation we are in and we didn't know what we know than...sure." I chuckle. Bonnie laughs and lightly pushes me.
"Okay so prank night was a bust. But we are accepting it and moving on."
"You're right. I mean, why should I let the fact that my boyfriend is seeing the ghost of his dead ex girlfriend hinder this experience." Bonnie replies.
"Yes! And why should I let the fact that my boyfriend was turned into a hybrid put a damper on this otherwise fabulous day?" Caroline asks.
"You guys have nothing on me. Why should I let the fact that MY boyfriend made certain people flip their switch, break a stupid curse and kill my sister affect my last year of high school experience?" I pointed out.
Both girls giggled.
"Today's our anniversary." Elena said quietly. I sighed. "Technically, Stefan and I met on the first day of school last year."
" I don't know...I still think Kiera wins.." Caroline joked.
" are you sure you wanna be here?" Bonnie asks.
" I have to be here. I have to put it behind me. New year. New life." She replied.

History class. The last thing on my mind and yet, that's where I am right now.
I sit in my usual seat behind Stefan, or where Stefan used to be when Stefan actually walks in.
"What's he doing here?" I whisper to Elena.
"Keep an eye on us, is what he said." She replied. I groaned.
"You're in my seat." Stefan hissed to the boy in front of me.
"Hey, you." He greeted to Elena.
He turned to me.
"Hello, mama." He smirked. I smack his arm.
"Welcome back, seniors. Let's turn our brains back on, starting with this country's original founders, the native Americans." Alaric said.
"What about the Vikings?" A voice said.
I turned to see Rebekah walk in and I smiled with excitement.
"Bekah!" I greet. She smiles and sits down beside me.
"There's no evidence that Viking explorers actually settled in the United States." Alaric said. "Who are you?" He asked.
"My names Rebekah. I'm new, and history is my favorite subject." She smiled.

"I'm so glad you decided to join the squad." Caroline said.
We were stretching, waiting to start.
"Has anyone seen Dana?" One girl asked.
"Sounds like you have an opening on the squad." Rebekah said coming up and stretching beside me.
I smiled.
"What are you doing?" Caroline asked. "Hey. Hey!" She added.
Is she always this annoyed? Rebekah thought/asked me.
I looked at her and made a 'so-so' motion with my hand.
"You can't just come here and infiltrate our lives." She said.
"I'm only interested in yours." Rebekah said snarking. "Your spark, your popularity...maybe even your boyfriend." She said.
I held back a smile.
While Caroline talked to Tyler I spoke to Rebekah.
"Sorry about her. She's just doesn't trust you." I say. She huffs.
"That much is obvious." Her face suddenly lit up.
"We should show people that we're the new hot, and I know exactly how to do it." I smirked as she took my hand.
We made people make way and we flipped and tumbled across the field.
We both landed in the splits, earning a cheer from everyone. Rebekah ran up to me with a smile and hugged me.
"I didn't even know I could do that." I laughed.
