Lee chatted with Cybot, “What are you playing?”
“Doom Laden Conqueror IV.”
“I have only played II and got stuck on the ending.”
“Yeah man, that was hard. I had to have a suit upgrade to do that level.”
“Suit upgrade?”
“I wear a power armour suit developed by my dad in conjunction with Hi Tech Labs. I can fly, take vast amounts of physical damage and go without washing for a month.”
“Impressive,” nodded Lee, “I personally use flash powder and stun darts.”
“Oh,” nodded Cybot, “a bit like Batman then.”
As they chatted and played games Major Holiness turned up. “Now then kids, who do we have here? Oh some of Arthur’s team. What are you doing here?”
Squiz stood up. “We came to ask the Lawful League to help us. Were you at the Vespucci superhero awards ceremony?”
“No, I was called away to help a spacecraft in distress on the moon. I’d rather be in action than receiving an award.”
“So you don’t know what happened then?”
Major Holiness shook his head.
“While we were there they played a video of ‘us’ that showed us as criminals. We were set up and came to you for help. Invisiralé invited us here after we had met with Mirage.”
“Well I hope he can help, I’m not so good at the counter espionage/detective stuff. Give me a common or garden emergency any day.”
