I ran out, and it was now bucketing down with rain. The tears poured down my face, but no one could tell. I stood there, getting wet, before going to sit on a bench. Water soaked threw my pants and numbed my bum, but I didn’t care. I must of sat there for about half an hour crying before taking out my phone to find new messages off Beau. They all said pretty much the same thing, ‘come home, I’m sorry...’ I clicked onto his number then sent him a text saying... ‘drop everything now, meet me in the pouring rain. Kiss me on the sidewalk, take away the pain.’ I was quoting one of taylor swifts songs, and it fitted perfectly with the situation. Seconds later, he replied with... ‘I’ll get you with my green eyes, baby, as the lights go down. I’ll give you something that will haunt you, when I’m not around.’ I read, before feeling warm, strong arms wrap around my waist and pick me up. Beau was standing before me, looking hot as ever. He wiped away my tears and kissed my nose. I leaned in for the kiss, and he began to kiss me back.
He was a great kisser, his tongue moving perfectly around my mouth. When he pulled away, he bit his lip, and went back to kissing. After a while he sucked at the nape of my neck as I groaned. “What happened?” Beau asked, cuddling me so that my head was resting on his chest. “Er-erm...” I stuttered as I chattered my teeth and shivered. “We’ll go home sweetie, then tell me.” He said, picking me up as I wrapped my legs around his waist. I cried into his shoulder, kissing his neck as he walked fast down the road.
“That blonde one from last night...” I began, still cuddled into Beau’s chest on the sofa with the twins sitting either side of us. “She was in his bed when I got there.” I gulped, remembering seeing the horrible grin on her face. “He’s a fucking prick who needs to be taught a lesson.” Beau shouted angrily, his fists clenched. I softly kissed his cheek to calm him before carrying on. “He said he was ‘drunk’” I told him, and I saw the anger spread across Beau’s face again.
“He really isn’t worth it Beth, trust me.” Luke comforted, squeezing my hand tightly.
“He doesn’t deserve you.” Jai said, smiling and showing his perfectly white teeth.
“I’m gonna shower, I need to think, about...things.” I mumbled, not making eye contact with Beau as he could tell I needed to think about him.
Ok, so Jakes out of the picture, and even so, Beau has always been in my picture. There’s nothing with Jake, but Beau, when he kissed me, I had butterflies in my stomach, real sparks flew. He makes me feel warm and safe, like he really loves me. Of course everything could go wrong, and we could lose our friendship, but everything could go right, we’d be perfect. I washed my conditioner out of my long hair and grabbed a towel, wrapping one around my body and one around my head. When I went into the room, I saw Beau lying down on the bed asleep. I quickly dryed off and lay beside him, studying him. Although I couldn’t see them right now, his green eyes were amazing, which went nice with his dark hair swooped to the side. He had lovely white teeth, all straight and in place. I stared at him for a while before making a decision.
Beau Brooks is perfect, perfect for me.
