" Hey guys, I am (y/n), nice to meet you" - you wave gently and nervously. "How do you have half a heart?" Ed rapidly asks ignoring your introduction as you look kind of annoyed by him, but decide to respond.
"I don't know how this all happened but I was studying about Alchemy for a company that I worked in. I was performing everything according to the books and everything, but I guess I did not read the fine prints." -You say lowering your head as the wind hit the windows of the hospital room.
"Alchemy? You did human transmutation?" Edward asks while you look up at the sky outside "I don't know what to call it, however, the goal was kind of the same. We had a sick patient and he was on the verge of dying. I have spent 10 years of my life learning and studying about Alchemy, and I thought I had all the knowledge in the world. I thought if I saved that patient I would be able to save more to come." -You say looking at Ed.
"Where are you from?" -he asks "(Favorite place on earth)" - you say as Ed and Al turn at each other. "You are from another earth... But, I thought Alchemy was only for our earth...How is this possible?" -Al asks while Ed thinks for a minute as you look confused at both of them. "Makes sense... We know we are not the only ones in this universe, and Alchemy is pretty ancient, it is that some planets have not figured it out completely or at all." -Ed says and gives you a very intense look "How do you perform Alchemy on your earth?... Actually no, do not answer. We do not need to know everything about Alchemy. It would collide our worlds really badly." Ed says while you hear footsteps approaching, getting louder and louder as the door opens up. A tall man with a blue uniform walks in accompanied by a woman with blonde hair.
"Colonel?" Ed asks while Roy Mustang looks at you "Hello there (Y/N), I am colonel Roy Mustang and this is my lieutenant Riza Hawkeye, cool now get dressed, we have to go somewhere." Roy requests as the lieutenant sighs. Ed steps in "Colonel... What are you going to do to her?" -he asks while Roy looks at you with a certain look that he has a plan "The Fuhrer wants her to join him for a tea. He is interested in asking her questions." Ed and Al gasp, when Ed nervously interferes "Colonel... You know we should not..." Ed gets interrupted by Roy walking toward you, as you shiver to how powerful he looked and how determined he looked. "Miss, you are going to see King Bradley associated by Edward Elric." With that Ed realizes the plan and nods while Riza hands you a pair of new clothes.
"Here's the plan... You are going to go talk to the Fuhrer, however, you are not to speak where you are from or what you know about our world or alchemy. You are just an ordinary human caught up on all this mess. King Bradley is only asking to talk to you because of the fact that you randomly popped up on Amestris. He does not have a lot of information about you which gives us the chance to modify your background story. Make sure to not reveal anything true about you, and keep the same facial expression at all times. Any sort of emotion will give your cover away. There are state issues going on that you should not be concerned. At the same time try to escape from our world. Staying on foreign worlds can cause harm on your physical body and get you involved in unnecessary trouble" -Roy states with a firm voice as you listen carefully and nod. "Understood!!" -you say chuckling, grabbing on to your bed sheet tight as Ed notices the stress you are experiencing. With that Roy leaves the room with Riza and Edward.
You and Al are left alone as you wander around with your eyes trying to gather the courage to ask questions. "So Al, how...much did Ed see of me...?" you ask blushing as Al looks aside chuckling. "Um...not..a lot...I am not sure, but my brother is not a perv or.." Al stumbles to say as you smile "I know" you reply as Ed walks in.
-- Fuhrer's office--
You and Ed were sitting on a round table with King Bradley as he had served everyone tea. At this point, Ed and King Bradley were not in really good terms, so it was a really awkward atmosphere. You sip your tea while Ed is suspicious of the Fuhrer's moves.
"So I heard you came in Amestris from nowhere huh?" Bradley asks you while you chuckle and nod. "I am from a small town far north of here. I came here with the help of a one of the villagers, and accidentally found myself in the middle of a fight and there were eyes everywhere... It was a strange thing, haha!" you say rubbing the back of your head smiling as Bradley gives a small smile and nods "So where are you headed to miss (Y/N) ?" he asks as Ed looks at you "I am accompanying the Elric brothers for a while. Ed's automail fixer is sick and is not able to do automatic maintenance on them so I will fill her place." -you say as the room had a really dark and scary vibe.
-- Central Command--
Ed, you and Al were hanging around a room in central command as nightfall had set in. There were two beds and a small couch. The three of you were reading books trying to figure out a way to get you back.
'There has to be a way to get you back to your world... I mean you came here somehow"-Al says while Ed is laying in bed staring at the ceiling, while you were sitting on the couch reading your own books.
"Edward... Alphonse... I came here through the gate of the truth as you call it right! So, what if I found something that is close to the gate's power to get me back... This way I get to leave here without losing any more of my body parts..."
"Brother... A philosopher's stone"- Al says while Ed's eyes widen as he sits up quick.
"Al.. why would you suggest that?" Ed asks lowering his head with an angry voice.
"Brother... I know it is terrible if we use it... but she is stuck here and we know how it feels to be stuck somewhere away from home... at least I do" Al says while you look confused as Ed gets up and rushes out slamming the door.
"Philosopher's stone?" you ask as Al explains "A philosopher's stone is a red stone that is made out of human souls. You need a lot of them in order to create a stone...Brother and I swore to never use one for any purpose... I think that it is your only way back..." Al says lowering his head.
"Al... I am sorry. I never wanted anyone to be forced to consider this idea... It is not fair of me and you do not have to do it..." You say as Al nods. You stand up "I will go talk with Ed," you stand and rush outside.
You step outside looking for Ed all around when you finally see him sitting near a water fountain. You approach him and sit next to him. "Ed I know that you swore to not use a stone. I don't want to use it either, but I need to get back to my world. I have a family that is worried for me. I am sorry, you do not have to accompany me on this journey, but I have to do it."
"Why? Why is it okay with you to use that kind of power?" Ed asks mad as he looks at you angry . "Why is it so cool with you to use thousands of souls just for your selfish gain? Why are you so shallow" Ed stands up while you do the same. He eventually starts to get closer to you while you take steps backward. "You cannot possibly know what it feels to die...You caused the issue and other people's lives are not for you to fix your mistakes." Ed yells at you as he finally corners you to a wall while his anger had taken over him. "We lost so much and we do not tend to use it!! WHAT MAKES YOU SO SPECIAL THAT..." Ed yells as you keep on crying when suddenly you clap your hands placing them on the wall as blue lightning strikes and the wall formes punches, punching Ed on the fountain. You look surprised and scared at the same time, balling your eyes out while Ed gets up, looking at you with regret on his face while you were about to storm away, suddenly feeling a thump on your chest. You fall to the ground as Ed rushes to pick you up.
"(Y/N) are you okay?" Ed asks as you nod. The two of you head over to the bedroom. Meanwhile, from the rooftop Envy was watching all of this go down as Wrath appears next to him. "Eliminate the thread" Envy nods as he laughs out loud manically.
