Chapter 48 : Conquered
SEREL
Isang panibagong araw ng paghihirap ko na naman. I'm always wondering why am I being kept here aside from the reason that they wanted my ability of writing. It feels like I am locked in the world. When did I last saw light? the sun? or the hope.
Slowly as the day passed, I am loosing ng fate that they will get me out of here. It's hellish here. I am suffering too much. I just wanted to live a normal life but why do they gave me a roller coaster ride life?
I suddenly want to question my living. Did my mother brought me in this world to suffer? It's just hard to understand why am I going all of these. I'm just being kind for accompanying the old lady to her house but I ended up entering the world where I belong. Do I even belong here?
When I came here, all I brought was chaos. Fight. And now... It feels like I wanted to end my life for bringing such disgrace.
Maybe it's true that once you found yourself in the dark, your thoughts will eat you slowly.
I sighed and layed on the cold ground in this dungeon. Siguro kahit papaano ay swerte ako dahil nandiyan si Malliyah. Nagdadala ito ng pagkain saakin. Maybe without her, I wont survive here. She's also like a friend to me. Funny how I made a friendship in my darkest hours.
I heard footsteps coming, hindi na ako naglakas loob mag angat ng tingin kung sino iyon dahil wala akong gana. Nang hihina na ako sa ilang araw na pamamalagi ko rito.
Mas lumapit pa ang mga yapak ng paa papunta sa akin. Nagtaka ako ng biglang tumigil iyon at namayani ang katahimikan sa lugar kung nasaan ako. Out of my curiosity, I looked up and saw a lady in front of me. She's not familiar.
"Who are you?" I asked and stood up.
"The darkness will conquer this world." She started to speak.
"Huh?" Gulo kong tanong dito ngunit parang wala 'man lamang itong narinig.
"Sino ka ba? paano ka nakapasok dito?" Muli kong tanong at iginala ang paningin sa buong paligid.
"I am the horoscope. And your journey that leads to your fate will start now." Her voice echoed in my mind. Tila nabingi ako matapos niyang sabihin iyon. Nanikip ang dibdib ko.
"A-Anong ibig mong sabihin?" Nanghihina kong tanong dito.
"Dadanak ang dugo at lahat ng iyon ay mag sisimula sa araw mismong ito. Prepare yourself to the worst for you will awake the demons in slumber." Hindi ko na namalayan na tumulo na pala ang luha ko.
Sabay sabay itong nagbagsakan na tila walang balak tumigil. Naninikip ang dibdib ko sa sinabi niya. Hindi ko na napansin na bumukas na pala ang pintuan sa dungeon. Hinayaan kong dakipin ako ng mga tauhan ni Mallucia at inilabas sa dungeon. They brought me on a dark place where I saw a small platform with my wand and book on the top.
Nakita ko ang unti-unting pag-liwanag ng buong paligid. Nanginig ang mga tuhod ko ng makita ko si Mallucia na nakangiti saakin. May hawak siyang mga bote habang papalapit.
"If I cant take your ability, why not let you do the honor of awaking them for me?" She said, nanindig ang mga balahibo ko dito.
"A-Anong..." Natigil ako ng buksan niya ang bote na hawak hawak niya at napasinghap ako ng makita ang natutulog na kaluluwa ng mga kaibigan ko.
"I collected their souls while sleeping. Isn't that a genius idea?" She laughed.
"Ano ba'ng kailangan mo!?" Napaiyak ako sa halo-halong nararamdaman. Pakiramdam ko ay lulubog ako sa bigat ng dibdib ko.
"I simply wanted to use your ability for my victory. But since I cant have it..." She paused and glanced at me. "You will do it for me." She continued.
"And what made you think that I will do it?" Tumaas ang isa kong kilay. Isang nakakatakot na ngiti ang sumilay sa labi niya at ikinumpas ang kamay niya.
Nilingon ko ang natutulog na kaluluwa ni Flare na tila nag wawala dahil sa kung anong ginawa ni Mallucia. Tiningnan ko naman ang isang salamangkero na sinulyapan ni Mallucia. Itinaas nito ang tungkod niya at nakita ko ang kwarto ni Flare kung saan siya mahimbing na natutulog. Para akong nawalan ng lakas ng makita ko ang paghihirap ni Flare sa imahe na ipinakikita.
She's struggling of something and I cant watch her just standing here. Muling ikinumpas ni Mallucia ang kamay niya at nakita ko kung paanong mat itim na usok ang pumalibot sa kanilang lahat. Parang sasabog ang puso ko sa nasasaksihan. Narinig ko ang sigaw nilanng lahat. Parang dinudurog ang puso ko. They're screaming because of pain. I cant feel it but I am hurting too.
"Tama na!" I cried and broke down. Narinig ko ang halakhak ni Mallucia.
"AHHHHHHH!"
Isang matinis na boses ang narinig kong tumili. My breathing hitched while looking on Aquacia. My tears pooled, I cant do anything. I'm sorry. I'm sorry.
"You can do something to stop the pain, my dear." Bahagya niyang itinaas ang mukha ko para makita ko siya.
"Write my fate, Serel." Her voice became sweet. I want to fall for it but something is holding me back.
"No Serel,"
A voice whispered. I am torn. Muli kong narinig ang sigaw nina Flare. Bumulong muli si Mallucia. Parang sasabog ang ulo ko sa pagkalito.
"AHHHHHH!"
"Write for me..."
"No, Serel."
"Ahhhhh!" I cried and held my chest.
"Tama na... tama na, ayoko na..." Napaiyak na lamang ako.
"It's either you let them suffer, or you'll write for me." Her voice lingered on my ears.
"I-I'll do it." Nanghihina kong saad.
"Serel!" Sinubukan akong lapitan ni Malliyah ngunit natigil siya dahil kay Mallucia.
Malaki ang ngiti ni Mallucia ng iabot niya saakin ang pang sulat. Nangangatal ang kamay ko ng abutin ko ito.
I breathe for an air and forced myself to stood up. I slowly walked on the small platform where my book and wand is placed. Hindi pa rin nawawala ang pag agos ng luha ko. Nangangatal ang kamay ko habang pinag mamasdan ang libro na nakabuklat. Nababasa na iyon dahil sa luha ko.
"Write, Serel... write." Muling bulong niya. Napapikit ako.
I am doing this because my friends are important to me. I dont want them to suffer. I dont want them to feel any pain. I cant stand here seeing them screaming in pain. And this... this is the only thing I can do for them. They protected me when I stayed here, they are always protecting me and it makes me feel so special. I cant lose a friend. I cant lose them.
"Write as I say..."
"For a guardian is writing this,
Let my words come to life,
Gloriosa, will feel the power I shall write,
The power of darkness that I'll summon from the other side,
The moon will bleed,
And the darkness will arise.
And with the name of the bloodline guardians. I, Serel, here to declare that my world will came here to life!"
Nag simula ng kumulog at kumidlat. Tumutulo ang mga luha ko ng hinarap ko si Mallucia na napaliligiran ng itim na usok. She's laughing and it made an eerie feeling.
She's floating in the air and feeling the power I gave.
Nilingon niya ako at humalakhak. Then a lightning was strucked on my book. Nasira iyon at tumilapon sa ere. Sa sobrang lakas ng impact noon ay tumilapon rin ako.
"You cant use that again. And now that I have the power..."
"Malliyah!" She called.
"Y-Yes?"
"Prepared for now, I will conquer the world." Humalakhak ito. Nilingon niya ako at gamit ang kapangyarihan niya ay lumutang ako sa ere. Napasinghap ako ng mawalan ng hininga.
"I dont need you anymore,"
It was the last word I heard before I heard growling thunders and a loud roaring sound, before a lightning strikes on me.
