I sat on the corner of my bed, completely oblivious to my surroundings, in the palm of my right hand lay a sword. Not actually a sword, but just a neckless. One my grandfather had given me at my middle school graduation a couple of months ago. It was very intricate and abstract in design.
Completed with swirls and angles. It was made of dragons skin, or at least that's what my drunken grandfather told me. With two dragon heads making up the handle guard, it was old and stained but not rusted. It carried a feeling with it, I was unsure of what that was but, it just had some sort of essence.
But none of that was important to me now. This time something wasn't normal. I had held it in my hand for a while now. I didn't know what it was, but the charm had felt, it felt a way that could only be described as... Alive.
I know, I know, insane right? Well that's what I've been trying to explain to myself for the last 10 minuets. It just didn't feel right. Like a presence was with me, with the neckless, IN the neckless... And, I- I think it wanted out.
