Wondering what it's like to leave this building while I stare out the window, because I haven't since I was five years old. I'm seventeen. I have a list of this to do with Cystic Fibrosis, wake up, eat breakfast, take my pills, take a shower, get dressed, draw, eat lunch, clean my G-Tube, draw, eat a snack, draw, eat diner, take my medication again, get changed into my pajamas, go to bed. It's not fun. i feel like i just need to go. But I can't. I can't leave my Dad. My mom didn't want to have a sick son so she grabbed my little sister and left me alone with my dad. But this is my life.
Archie and Kevin, my best friends, only get to spend the day with me sometimes. Every two months. But today is the day i get to hang out with them. I know they feel bad for me but I just ignore it.
I get a knock on the door. I open it to let Archie and Kevin walk in. Archie gives me a hug and kevin pats me on the back.
"Hey dude! How are you?" Archie says with a smile.
"Could be better, but i'm still living." I say with a shrug.
"What about you guys?" I ask them.
"I'm good!" They both say.
"But I know what will make you feel better!" Kevin says with a wink
"What could possibly be so amazing?" I ask with a chuckle.
Archie looks at Kevin.
"What?" I ask in confusion.
Kevin smirks at me.
"When we were walking up here, we saw this beautiful girl. I think her name was Elizabeth. I'm guessing she just got her because i saw he lugging a huge duffel bag into a room." Archie says.
"Guys I'm not interested in anyone right now." I claim.
"Suit yourself Jug" Kevin says.
