"Umm...no I don't think so"
"Oh! c'mon" Rae has been on me for an hour to try on clothes for the party and she's made me try everything... and by everything...I mean literally everything.
"If you'll keep it up, I might as well not go to the party" I'm exhausted and it's only six in the evening. The party is not gonna start until eight.
"ok! Just try this last one and I promise, I won't ask you again" She throws an off shoulder cap sleeves high waist blue dress at me from her wardrobe.
"Are you serious? I'm not wearing this...Nuhuh" Rae gives me a look.
"Babe...you know I'm not gonna stop until you've tried it...so you might as well save your energy"
"Really?" I give her one of my intimidating looks but she doesn't even blink an eye. Jesus! Fine. You must be wondering if I didn't want to go to this party then i should have contacted christy but the fun fact is christy is going on a date with one of the guy from the football team. Yes, a date...and so I'm here running for my life. metaphorically speaking.
As soon as I try it on...Rae is looking at me with a big ass grin.
"Babe...you're soo wearing this" She nods her head at me multiple times.
(The dress Shia is wearing)
"Are you crazy it's so short"
"it's just a bit above your knee ...it's covering plenty" she scowls at me as if I've insulted her and the dress.
"Rae...I love you but I can't wear this. This isn't me" I mean, I've always been a jean and hoodie girl.
"Yes, you are wearing this. I don't wanna hear anything else. Now, let's work on your makeup" wait... did she say makeup?
"wohoho...no no...no makeup for me. I'm good like this"
"Shi...shut up and sit down" I plump down on my bed with a sigh as she uses all sorts of stuff at me.
"Alright! It's done. You can look at yourself in the mirror"
"I don't know why you're getting so......" I stop talking as soon as I look at myself in the mirror. Holy hell...I'm looking like one of those models in commercials.
"So, you like it?" Rae looks at me in the mirror with excitement on her face.
"wow... I mean I don't even recognize myself"
"of course, it's you...just needed some of my magic" She winks at me through the mirror.
"now...I'll go get ready and in the meanwhile you look for the shoes and wear one accordingly" Good something I can chose for myself.
Rae comes back after half an hour wearing a cute maroon dress and looking like a model.
"Shi...what the hell are you wearing?" She looks at me as if I've grown 5 inches.
"ummm... shoes?" she narrows her eyes and growls at me.
"when I said shoes...I didn't mean the shoes literally. I mean some good heels" She looks kinda disappointed.
"ummm...I know but...these are what I'm comfortable in, Rae"
"Fine...but you're wearing these" she throws a pair of three-inch strap heels at me.
"these will also be comfy and will look good".
"these are heels, Rae" I scowl at her.
"I know right...now let's go, our cab is here" she smiles at me, picks up her clutch and goes out leaving me scowling at her back.so much for going to a party huh
