Chapter 1
Last year still did not make sense to me, nor did it seem logical that I was all of a sudden inside a cave and walked out to find my girlfriend-to-be and somebody who would treat me like a child. Even thinking of this was unnatural but I couldn’t imagine my life being any other way. Dreams containing memories and hints about what was to come, and this was the year that some of those premonitions would come true. I heard a bang in Kristine’s room and asked if she was okay, but she told me that her clothes had fallen out of her cupboard onto her. I walked in and helped her up from underneath the stacks of clothing, and she told me that I should pack for our vacation together. She sat down on the bed and began sorting through her clothes from her beach trip, and I sat with her to talk for a while. “I can’t wait! We’re going to Perth for the first time… well I am. You tell me you were born in Geraldton after all.” She said with and exited tone as she pulled out her dress and threw it into the on suite with the growing pile of dirty clothes. She then began to get to the clothes she hadn’t even worn and pulled out her brown skirt and pink shirt, placing it behind her.
After she had unpacked she took hold of my hand and sat with me for a while, but when she looked at me she seemed so sad. “Remember last year? I nearly lost you… I’m scared it might really happen now, I don’t want to see you die.” She said, leaning against me as she finished speaking. I told her she had nothing to worry about, and that I would always return to her no matter what. She gripped my hand tighter and I lifted her chin and looked into her eyes, telling her she needn’t fear for me anymore. She sighed and threw the brown skirt at me saying I should get out and pack while she got changed, and I asked if she wanted me to bring anything special. She smiled unwillingly as though something was funny and said we weren’t 16 just yet. I threw a shoe in her general direction telling her not to be so dirty minded, but she only laughed about all of this until I left to pack my things. I packed my clothes, Anna’s sword she gave me on my birthday, my drawing things and all the other essentials for the trip. I then picked up the picture of Kristine and me at the Christmas party together, smiling at the camera while I looked surprised at the cameras existence before me. I smiled and wondered how long the good times will last.
I walked out to the dining room and placed my suitcase on the floor next to the chair, and she walked out in the skirt and a bright blue shirt. Kristine pointed out that she had already packed too and I saw her bag at the other side of the room. I looked outside and saw that the stars had aligned into on word, ‘Zirro’, and I wondered why it was spelling the name of one of the super conduits, but much to the detriment of everybody’s well-being, I ignored it. There was a knock at the door which Hopey went to answer, and when he did he came back with a boy named Liam that we had met at the Christmas party. He told us that Anna had told him to stay at this house for the time being, and I told him he wasn’t the first. He shrugged and went to pick out a room when Kristine told me he could have mine, and that she wanted me to move into her room with her. I hesitated but finally agreed to which she giggled and said “You told me not to be dirty…” But Hopey stood up and said to Liam that touching his PlayStation is like signing your own death warrant.
Chapter 2
~The vacation~
I woke up beside her the next day, thankful she had worn clothes to bed and I stood up to get ready for the trip to Perth. After breakfast she woke up and we went to the airport together, where she argued with the baggage handler who turned out to be her friend Dylan, who had no powers and was simply a human. We were asked to board our plane and she told me to sit at the window so she wouldn’t have to feel sick. She held onto my arm as the plane took off and severed her connection to the grounds electricity sources, which was what kept her awake. I watched her fall asleep due to the lack of electricity and put my arm around her to stop her from falling off her chair, the flight attendant asked if she needed a pillow and a blanket and I said yes please that would be nice of you. Kristine was cute when she was asleep, but I’ve mentioned that before haven’t I? She began talking in her sleep, asking rhetorical questions like where is her heart. I wanted to answer but she wouldn’t hear me without a power source to keep her awake.
The flight felt as though it was dragging on and on, but I soon heard the reason for this… Soulless perception filtering was the culprit. “We cannot land in Perth airport due to no staff being present; we will however land in a nearby city. Sorry for the inconvenience.” Said the captain, as I looked out of my window at the soulless below, and the towns they had claimed as their own. The flight continued for longer and longer until we were finally able to land in the airport. When the wheels struck the ground Kristine woke up quite suddenly and asked where we were, and I told her we had arrived for our vacation, hoping not to let on that I had seen soulless before we landed in the airport. She looked out the window and looked back at me, smiling she said “Well at least were safe for now, we should go to the hotel now maybe?” but I told her that I had a surprise for her before we left. We walked into the airport and saw my aunt, Debbie, waiting for us and she asked if we had a good flight. Kristine nodded and looked at me and I told her I could remember some of my family now.
I sat next to Kristine in the car and she leaned on me asking why I didn’t tell her earlier, and I said I wanted to surprise her. She said she didn’t think it was funny, but she was happy I knew about my family now. We arrived at my aunts home and she told us to get set up before dinner, and I helped her through the door due to her MS syndrome and went back to help Kristine with the suitcases and the other stuff. She stumbled into the house with her gear and I followed her, offering to help but she told me she wanted to help herself. She put the bags in the room we were staying in and collapsed onto the already set up bed, I lied down next to her and she said she never wanted to carry that much stuff again. I laughed at her as she shuffled closer for a hug; I felt her breathing softly as she held on to me. She suddenly moved back and said to come and get her when dinner was ready. I went out into the kitchen and asked if anybody needed some help, but they told me they could handle it on their own. I walked out the front of the house and looked out to the distance, seeing a massive creature rise up and walk away.
The Creature was stomping in the distance as I heard a voice to my right say, “You’re looking after my sister right?” I turned and saw a man leaning on the wall, katana sheathed on his hip and he looked as though he would easily kill anything. I nodded and he said that it was good and he wouldn’t have to go on a ‘Murder-page’. I stared as he laughed saying it was okay, and he was only here because he was trying to track the Hooded Figure’s DNA signature and found me instead, he struck the machine and vanished, I walked inside to see that we were having fish and chips and went to wake up Kristine. When I woke her she looked at me sleepily and kissed me softly, then she asked me to help her up. She asked me if she should get changed, and I said I didn’t mind but she insisted, taking her shirt off as I exited the room. She later joined us for dinner and got to know my family a bit better, until the ground shook beneath our feet.
Chapter 3
~The Birth of Zirro~
A gigantic monster stood several stories higher than us, and then it picked me up and threw me a massive distance and walked over to see if he had finished the job. The scary guy from before then attacked him out of nowhere and the monster yelled in rage as the guy helped me up. The ground began to shake slightly as the scary guy introduced himself. “I am Kona Higube, but you can call me Cero. Just so you know a super conduit is being born right now… HEY SHUTUP!!! WE NEED TO DEAL WITH THIS!!!” He said, seemingly insane. The monster continued to yell until it grew scales and horns, and its muscle size increased greatly, I asked its name and it turned to me, Saying “Zirro….” It smashed the ground and a tremor ripped the ground into two halves beneath me. I jumped over the crevice as Kona fired balls of dirt at Zirro, but it was as though Zirro did not feel them hitting him. However Zirro just left, no warning at all, just left and I returned to Kristine after a long walk. The Next day I walked outside to and explosion next to me… an impact of something. I looked up to see a thorned glowing monster, throwing objects at will, destroying everything in his sight. He stared at me in the eyes; he had dark glowing red eyes. He began moving closer, I took my stronger standing position to fire some of my new abilities on it, firing a lightning shock at him… Nothing. I tried a grenade… nothing, even ionic strikes did nothing. He caught up and reached out to attack, but time dilated… and reality split in two, I had to find a way back to the true timeline.
I ran as the Destruction rained down from Zirro’s position, and found myself somehow with Kristine back in wagga, but Zirro was here now Instead of Perth. He threw rubble everywhere and Taylor, the girl who got me out of the void last year, gave me a suit of armour, saying that the soulless soldiers would think I was one of their generals. Taylor wanted me to infiltrate Zirro’s Army and find information about the soulless and if there is any other super conduit like him. I took the armour, placed it on and walked out into the ranks. The soulless I passed did not notice that I was not a general of their ranks, and passed on as if they never met me. I eventually found myself in the centre of the army’s base as night fell and the soulless all began to fall asleep, of at least their eyes ceased to glow as they did when they were alert. I snuck around the camp and found some soulless were still active, but I destroyed them quietly, making my way towards Zirro’s tower.
I arrived in the tower and saw Zirro exit in order to make a speech, I heard something about cleansing and he had captured 2 Neocrities. When I entered the tower however I was shocked to find that the two Neocrities he had were Kristine and Taylor. He arrived and said to me he found that I was a more formidable foe than presumed and told me I would have to fight in the arena if I wanted to see to it that Kristine was safe. I agreed without a second’s hesitation and he woke them up, telling me I had 5 minutes to say goodbye to her before the eternity in the arena. Kristine told me I should not have opted to stay, but I said there was no other way to save her. She began to cry as she was teleported home, and I turned back to Zirro, prepared for the fights he could possibly put me in.
Chapter 4
~send me back~
I woke up in bed; my face covered in tears as I realized what had just transpired was in fact reality. But I had little time for grieving as I ran outside and saw the beginning of the war, the first Neocrity death. I saw Brett fall to the floor from burns to his arms as he reached out to Taylor, transferring his power of the Chosen over to her, He died quickly after he did this. After he fell a ghost of a man appeared and asked me if I was okay, but I couldn’t answer as I clutched my head as the memories flashed of my past… that man was… I turned back to him and said I was strong enough now, but he said I was not the one who needed to be strong now, compared to what the chosen of War was going to experience my pains were nothing. I asked who that chosen was and he only answered that he was part of my future. It began to rain as two of the assassins appeared before me, a muscular one, and the one who hurt Zach last year. I fired lightning bolts at the red haired one but the muscular one just stood in front of her and made it look light my lightning blasts were just tissues being thrown at him.
He walked forward, summoning a humungous scythe in his right hand and lifting it to attack, I lifted my arms to brace for the hit but when he swung down I heard a metal shock. Looking up I saw I had summoned a double sided scythe, like a wheel blade. I tried to swing it at him but he caught it in his left arm, bringing his mask close to my face and staring deep into my soul with blood red eyes like a soulless. He stumbled as Tom punched him in the back, and he stared at Tom and said his name with a dark, growling voice before leaping upon him with his scythe. Tom stopped him before the impact and slammed him into the concrete before kicking him through it. The assassin stood back up and plucked gigantic boulders from the ground and threw them at Tom, Who used a troll face power to make his face into a ‘fuck yeah’ face before throwing them back after a mid-air catch. The assassin withdrew from the battle, defeated and left without a word. Tom turned to me and asked where Zach was, and when I told him he asked why we weren’t on our way to the arena already. I told him I would but I hadn’t had the time to think about it yet. He crossed his arms, disappointed I wasn’t trying to save him the same way he would save me.
I met the others at the memorial gardens to formulate a plan, but all they did was argue. “Zach was our leader!” “We can’t fight without him!” I cut them off in the confusion by telling he wouldn’t want us to argue, and we can easily choose a temporary leader for now. Hopey volunteered and nobody argued about it, seeing as he was our biggest badass at the time. He told us to split the army into two and one half would sneak up on the arena, while the other attacked directly. But we were stopped by a smashing in the roof, as Zirro collected some of our army as prisoners. He took Harriet, Anna and Chantelle. I don’t care what super conduits are… Take my friends and it becomes fair game. I looked over in the rubble and saw a hooded man, the hood darkened his face and I could not see who he was, but he placed a box on the floor and pointed at it as I saw his lips curl into a smile. He began to walk away from me as Kona appeared. “Go on little sister… open your present, somebody must have made a deal with the devil…” Said Kona, I looked up to him and asked him why he called me sister. He explained we were of the same family.
I opened the parcel, heart quickening in anticipation and I found a snow white teddy bear, holding a heart with “I <3 U” Written on it. I smiled, wondering who had sent it to me and looked at the card, but it was blank besides one word written in black pen… Aqua. I wondered what it meant and carried the bear close to my chest, wondering if Zach had sent it for me. I decided I would name it snowy the bear, and as I walked out of the building the Red haired assassin leapt down in front of me, hair flailing as she did so. She asked what happened to Zach and I told her that he was in the arena, fighting for my freedom, and that I was going to go and save him. The assassin removed her mask, revealing a humanoid face and told me that the Destroyer took it too far, and that he promised that he wouldn’t be hurt in the war. I asked her what her name was and she turned to me quickly, like a twig had snapped and she was on guard. “I’m Jasmine, you know, the girl he was with before he was with you.” I stared in surprise but she didn’t seem to hold any anger for me.
Chapter 5
~To the arena~
We arrived at a shelter, watching the world fall to pieces in Zirro’s wake and I wondered if this was the end, the Apocalypse. It can’t be though; the end war has to happen first and… I don’t know how I know that. I looked for Tom, wondering if he could help me save Zach and abort this timeline, resetting it to what it should be without Zirro’s interference. I looked at all the faces of these people but did not see Tom’s and began to question if he was here or not. I saw his Jacket and ran over to see him sitting at the window, looking out at the arena. I asked him if he was planning to go and see what was happening, but he said that Zirro was making everyone he had captured was now fighting in the arena. I sighed, wondering if Zach was okay but Tom assured me he was strong, would probably not have even received a scratch. I nodded at this thinking Tom must be right, and walked outside to have a look at what the world was falling to.
When I walked outside I saw a siege tower burning down before me, and when the dust settled I saw a tall girl with black hair, laughing as she said that what I had just seen burn down was Zirro’s favourite siege tower. I laughed when she told me this and asked why she did it, and she told me it was purely for fun. I smiled and asked her if she could help me get everyone out of the arena, she asked where it was and I told her it was over Baden Powell Drive, and that we would need a car to get there. She said she has her L’s to drive and was willing to break some laws if this was a false timeline. We went to find some other Neocrities who might help us; we ended up with a team of about 8 before we left in a jeep. I looked on as we drove closer to the arena until car jerked to a stop, and then was thrown through the air. I climbed out when we hit the floor, and I saw a massive creature flexing and growling in an attempt to intimidate us. I got to my feet and aimed my hand, charged with electricity, at its face. It looked at me and I felt myself falling into a dream, or a memory I couldn’t tell any difference.
When I “woke up” I found myself in a field of roses, oddly I could not feel the thorns. I waded through the sea of roses and found myself at a clearing seeing a boy there; he smiled and ran towards a cave. I sighed and followed him wondering when this nightmare would end. Entering the cave I saw a man I barely recognised, and he stared at me in shock, as though he had left for a long time and was seeing his child all grown up. I looked around and then at the man’s face, realising that the man before me was not only a previous chosen, but he was my father. I saw a flash of memories before my eyes, remembering names and places and events. Hayden… Jordan… Jess… A funeral… I fell down, clutching my head as pain overtook my body. I looked up and the man was gone, and when I turned I saw Hayden holding some sort of sword. “It’s your fault, and now I can pay you back.” I felt two miniature scythes in my hands, and then flipped them to reversed grip, ready to defend myself. He jumped down and I swung the scythes with some force, but the damage I did must have been from the speed I was swinging them at. After we had scuffled for a few seconds he threw me away, and I jumped back to my feet while electrifying the scythes in my hands.
The lightning strikes hit the ground around me as I looked up, attempting to keep myself calm. “Do you realise what you even did? I may be responsible but you’re the one who made the actions.” I said as he stared at me in disgust, recoiling from the truth. He screamed at me how I was nothing, how I was useless. I walked forward as I heard Harriet’s voice informing me that she thought otherwise, and Zach’s voice informed me that he thought I was the most amazing girl alive. I threw a scythe at Hayden, pinning him on the cave wall as I quickly walked over, throwing him down, stepping on his wrist and aiming an electrified hand at his face. “YOU COULDN’T HURT A FLY!” he screamed in a desperate attempt to rescue himself, as I emphasised the electricity on my hand. He calmed down and told me to do it, and that I would be sorry for what I had done. I thought of this for a moment before I stomped on his wrist, breaking it, and I walked out of the cave.
I looked up at the sun as I noticed it was moving quicker than usual. I watched it quickly exit the sky on the left horizon and saw the moon rise quickly and suddenly freeze in the middle of the sky. A humanoid being approached me and asked what I was doing here, and I explained I didn’t know. It then lurched forward, grabbing my face, screaming “OF COURSE NOT! YOU’RE STILL IMPURE!” It threw me back onto the ground and sighed in excessive disgust. A creature then emerged, from the cave, being hailed as Zirro, a god of the void. “SIBLINGS… THIS IS WHERE THE FILTH OF THAT CHOSEN OF DEATH WILL BE CLENSED IN BLOOD!!! THE CELEBRATION OF 1000 YEARS IS HERE!!! COMMENCIO ORA!!!” perfect… my enemy speaks Italian… I explained the plan to the figure as Zirro tore the roof of some building and took Harriet and Anna. I tried to fire some electrical shocks at him, but he had left. Sharna and Chantelle went to search for a headquarters as I wanted to go and fix my mistake. I entered his dungeon only to see stasis chambers, with three figures sleeping. Anna, Harriet, and Taylor had all been placed into stasis. The headquarters was in the middle of the desert, I don’t like very long walks so I stole a bike… don’t judge me!! When I arrived nobody was waiting for me…
Chapter 6
~Trapped in a dream~
Some soulless appeared and attacked suddenly. I shocked the soulless and then drew the scythes, running forward to fight the thousands that poured forth; they were destroyed one by one, and then after time passed I saw Zirro, he looked me in the eyes again, and I ran towards him and threw my weapons through his eye, and he smashed the ground, I jumped onto his arm and ran up, giving the wound in his head several Ionic blasts, he roared in pain. Hitting me off his head and covering the wound, I had found his weakness. I hit the ground hard and everything blacked out. I woke up in a bed, Anna standing trying to keep me well. I got up, realizing she’d bandaged me. I smiled at her, and thanked her. “I’m sorry, I didn’t know how else to get you to stop bleeding…” I told her it was okay, and not to worry, I was okay. I put the armour she presented me on, and she told me I would need it to breathe the air outside, it was completely poisonous now. I walked towards the arena to check the data files on the neocrities. When I arrived I looked up Kristine, it said: The beast appears to target this child, for increased powers. Currently under the guardianship of the Destroyer, her life lies in his hands.
I suddenly found myself waking up in an arena beside Sasha, Zirro asking his minions to cheer for him. I looked around and saw Zach, holding his weapon and obviously very tired. Zirro then issued me a challenge; if Sasha and I defeated his waves of soulless we could all go free. I hesitantly agreed to this as Sasha prepared for her 5 rounds. The first began as Zach and I were sent to the seats above the arena floor, and she set her hands on fire, punching soulless as they leapt for her. She then blasted a wave of fire at those who remained, waiting for the next round to begin. A horn was sounded and larger, more muscular soulless charged towards her this time. She still defeated them as though it was art, handspringing over their shoulders and burning them quickly. A soulless knocked her down and jumped on her, but after a brief struggle she snapped its neck. She stood up, beginning to get tired already, but she was only in round two, going on round three now! Zach then whispered into my ears about his plan, but I rejected it instantly, telling him it was suicide, but he told me there was no other way to do it.
Sasha readied up for round 3 as even larger soulless walked out into Zirro’s arena, Zach stood up and began slowly walking towards control room four as I got ready to enter the arena. Sasha defeated the soulless of round 3 and 4 with not a scratch, but in round 5 she fought a creeper, which managed to kick her up against a wall, damaging her heart. She told me her 5 rounds were now done and I would have to fight now. I looked at her and whispered to her that I was scared, but she said not to be, if my powers of being a chosen activated I would be unstoppable. I then walked out into the centre and listened as Zirro began to yell out about how rather than have 5 more rounds he had decided he would defeat me personally. Sasha and I both yelled what in perfect unison, as I then called out that he would be required to revert time if I was to win. He laughed and told me that I would have to surrender Zach if I lost. I looked at the control room, as I felt a tear running down my face, but he nodded at me encouragingly. I accepted the terms, still fearing the possibility of losing him.
Chapter 7
~The arena~
I walked through the gates as they opened, light nearly blinding me as I continued into the arena. Zirro was waiting, and he said “SIBLING… HERE IS THE CHOSEN OF DEATH!!! A STUPID GIRL, AND NOW SHE WILL BE CLEANSED OF THIS NEOCRITY DISEASE!!!!” I drew my scythes, holding them both in backhand grip. Zirro threw a nearby statue towards me; I rolled out of the way and hit him with a lightning grenade. Then he smashed the ground and I climbed to the wound that was now covered by a metal patch. I cut through one of the pieces and he knocked me back down to the ground. Jumping back to my feet I shocked him with all my power, and threw grenades, even an Ionic vortex. He roared proceeding to throw everything he got his claws on at me, only for me to get out of the way I climbed back up to cut another part of the metal plate, knocked down again. I got to my feet and looked around at the control rooms, I ran to the stairs to get to the cannons. I reached the first one, setting the cannons to fire on Zirro. I went back down and as he was being shot I climbed his arm, then he smashed the control room. I cut the last piece of the metal plate, shocking the wound. He roared and threw me to the stairs of the control room.
My back felt like I had been punched by a machine. I slowly stood, unbelievably hurt but still willing to fight on. I limped into the second control room and programmed each cannon to hit Zirro. But when they did he once again struck the control room, and I fell face first into the dust below as I fell into unconsciousness. I woke up back in the dream, seeing the man I had seen last time and this time asking if he was proud of me. I then looked left into a mirror and saw that I had scratches and wounds from my fight. The man said he was proud of his little girl, and if she was finally giving in he would be okay with it. I walked towards him and said I knew I had to activate my Chosen powers, but I did not know how. He turned and said to me that before my amnesia he had told me a story of a princess, who was confused and lost without her father. The princess was driven into the forest where she was to be executed but the man took pity on her. It was the Snow White story and I asked how that was meant to help me. But he said only that Snow White was a Chosen, but she did not need her power to be strong.
A lightning bolt struck me and I felt no pain, but the lightning marked me with stars and a skull on my forearm, signifying I had truly become the Chosen I was always meant to be. The Chosen of Death, the one who could stand alone against the Destroyer’s army and win. I returned to a train and saw Adele was talking to me, about some Beast; I walked over and sat with the others. “… Has spines out of its back, glowing red eyes, and when it shrinks it looks like him.” Jacob was setting up camp with Corey, Sasha and Jason; Sasha had set the wood on fire by accident by falling onto the wood placed there, and had turned it into a campfire. The tent pegs were stuck to Jason’s arms and Corey had crushed a gas tank. They were hopeless… Jason screamed for help as more metal stuck to him and Adele told him to get over it. I walked over and set a tent up myself, with Jacob, Jason and Corey all standing in awe as I did. Jason told me he wanted that tent and went to lie down, but the tent collapsed on him. After everything was set up and Jason forced to sleep outside we all sat around the campfire telling stories. Jacob tried to tell one, “On a dark and stormy night, I SHAT MY PANTS!!!” we Laughed, this is what I missed, laughing by the camp fire “Okay, Okay well, Kristine, What about the Zirro story?” I laughed about it, “The fight in the arena? God that took it out of me, never has anything that size been such a good fighter.” They cracked up “THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID!!!” this was one of the best days I have had… hadn’t had… damn it. I then speculated towards this being my future, and I felt hope…
Chapter 8
~Dreams of what’s next~
I then found myself on an island, a prison island, and I was watching Zach fight another boy, who was fighting more ferociously than Zach was. The bolts were being fired everywhere and I ran through the rain of the power the other boy sent at everyone. I fired bolts back until I saw that somebody had dropped the inhibitor, I picked it up and put it in my bag, continuing the fight. Soulless appeared one by one and he yelled out that the Destroyer was coming, and he had to leave nothing for it to destroy. He showed me what the Destroyer was, told me about its Immortality, that even I would never truly kill it. “The inhibitor didn’t even work on him, I failed… Aqua Mayy will be her soon as I have failed… I’m sorry. Please kill me before I lose everything…” I watched Zach pulled out the inhibitor and begin to charge it, “Are you sure about this?” He nodded, saying he was positive. The inhibitor fired and my Heart stopped in that split second. It was dark, I did not know where I was and then I heard Zach’s voice one last time, guiding me back home.
I looked out of the prison, punching the walls and wishing I could be free again. Then I saw a streak of blue light on the horizon, and saw the electrical energy getting closer quickly. I saw, and stood in shock, as Zach had blasted the walls down, and was now acting as an army… “ARMY OF ME!!!” He yelled as the Destroyer asked who he thought he was, then he fired rockets at the inhibition units, freeing us and giving our powers back. They circled us, and I said “I bet I can get thousands more!!!” then he smirked saying “you’re on!” we started destroying them by the thousands, then I saw him again and said “I LIKED IT BETTER WHEN THEY WERE ON MY SIDE!!!!” he laughed and lightning hooked the soulless onto one another, and I blasted them through the walls. The Destroyer threw his tower down at us, and Kell yelled, “HIT HIM WITH EVERYTHING YOU’VE GOT!!!!” and we both summoned storms on him, but he still escaped, badly wounded though. Zach looked over upon the sunset, almost looking as though he now had a soul again, I wondered if he really did… but I then realised I did not know how I believed he had no soul.
I fell into my dream again, and then I watched stain glass like fragments of something whizz past me. I woke up and the battle with Zirro was beginning again, and this time I was determined not to lose. I ran out to him and stabbed both his eyes with the scythes, blinding him as he roared in anguish, smashing the ground below himself in a desperate attempt to him me. Anna jumped into the arena and said something to Zach, but swore as Zirro separated them. I sprinted to the third control room; programming the cables to lend their power to Zach… this was not going to be pretty.
Chapter 9
~The time is normal again~
I climbed and fired the cannons on his wound; he roared and smashed the control room before I could get out, blasting the rubble away, then using electromagnetism to throw it at him. He tried to get me, but I was too fast for him. I couldn’t enter the last control room, it was locked. I fought him for hours on end, shocking the wound and his eyes. He would just recover every time, and I had to defeat him somehow. He tried to punch, smashing the door to the control room, I entered but it was not to control the power lines, but when I looked up I noticed Kristine had already entered the right one. I directed the electricity into me and used myself as a lightning bomb. I leaped at him as the electrical currents burned into his eyes, killing Zirro. Lightning stuck several million times at once as I felt immense pain of lightning tearing apart this reality, while time dilated yet again, this time we travelled to the real timeline… the year 10 formal. I was at the memorial gardens, photos were being taken… and I saw Kristine… more beautiful than anyone I had ever seen in my life. She smiled at me; I smiled back and my heart raced.
It was now December somehow… and we were eating dinner in the RSL club together. People here were all on different sides of the battle with the Destroyer but it was good to see them all be friends this one time. Jake, A boy I knew at the school we were pretending to attend, walked up to the muscular assassin, who revealed himself as Corey, challenging him to a food eating contest. Even Hopey didn’t smash any plates at the Formal, but he did go and ask Kristine to ask me to dance. I accepted the offer and we danced together on stage, I saw others watch us… Beth, Sasha, Taylor being chased by Connor, Kona, Anna, Harriet Laughed at me, Chantelle, Keagan, Maria and Toby. I then looked at Kristine who had a shocked look in her eyes, mentioning a glowing ring shape on our fingers. I smiled at her and said it was nothing, and that she should just enjoy the night.
We all left for home as Toby, Chantelle, Maria, and Keagan all walked towards Kristine and I. “Hey, something’s going to happen next year, we know.
