~Michelle's POV
Ever since hayes and I got separated I've been really depressed.
I can't eat, I can't sleep, and I've hardly been speaking
Mrs. Linsey's been making me do all the work around the building while all the other foster kids sat around all day, she claims that no one will ever want to adopt me because of the pest I am.
Maybe she's right.
I sat down for a quick second when Mrs Linsey left the room.
I started thinking about hayes, I couldn't get him out of my mind I just miss him so much
~Hayes's POV
"God I miss her!" I cried out to Nash that was laying on the couch with his face glued on twitter
"Are you even listening to me?!" I shouted
No answer.
I smacked him on the cheek causing him to snap back I to reality, he quickly jumped up and shouted, "what the fuck hayes?!" .
I continued, "I miss her so much!"
~Michelle's POV
About 2 hours later Mrs. Linsey asked me to go to the store to get some groceries, I obviously agreed, since I had no choice but to follow every order she gave me.
She gave me a long list and told me to be back in an hour, no later.
I nodded and made my way out.
*Grocerie Store*
When I walked in I grabbed a small basket and put a couple things from the list on there, when out of nowhere I felt to large hands slide across my waist and hug me tight.
I turned around to hayes, standing there with a huge smile.
~Hayes's POV
I walked into the grocery store to get a couple things, when I walked in to see Michelle, she looked so depressed and miserable.
I quickly ran to her and slid my hands across her waist, I had missed her so much, I couldn't let go of her.
I hugged her really tight until I pulled away, she turned around and a big smile grew on my face
I could tell she was happy, but shocked to see me.
~Michelle's POV
"Hayes!" I said jumping into his arms
"I missed you so much!" He said
"I missed you to! What are we going to do? I can't stand not being with you." I said as we held each others hands
"What if, we run away together??" Hayes whispered as his smile grew bigger
"What? That's crazy!" I shouted, "Where would we go?, where would we sleep??"
"I don't care! As long as I'm with you." Hayes said pulling my waist closer to him
"Ok." , "how are we going to do this?" I said as I quickly started to feel a rush
Hayes let out a few ideas and I agreed to them.
I couldn't believe we were actually going to run away to be together.
"Ok so here's the plan." , "We'll meet at the park, we'll take a bus and go as far as we can! It doesn't matter where we go! As long as we're together."
"Ya! And we'll get jobs to raise money, we can get our own apartment and we'll have no one to bother us! No one that would tell us we can't be together" I finished
"Perfect." , "We'll meet tonight at midnight." Hayes said
"Ok" I said letting out a deep breathe, "I'll see you then."
Hayes nodded and pressed his lips against mine, "I love you."
"I love you to hayes." I said as hayes walked away.
I rushed to put everything on the list Mrs Linsey had gave me, I finished paying and I hurried back home.
This whole plan is crazy! I can't believe I'm doing this, but I'll do anything to be with hayes.
*Back Home*
I threw everything on the counter and put everything away.
I rushed in my room and started figuring out a way of sneaking out without getting caught.
"I'll deal out the window when everybody's asleep..!", "perfect." I thought
I have everything planned out! ...wow, the things we do for love.
*11:00pm*
Everybody was asleep.
I grabbed my backpack and packed things I needed most, like clothes, shoes etc.
My heart was beating fast. I started to think, "what if we get caught?" , "what if we get mugged?" .
I shook my head to clear my thoughts and continued packing, I had about $30 that Mrs Linsey had gave me for doing things for her, $40 dollars that I earned for helping out some neighbors, and $30 more dollars that I was saving up, in total was $100, not including how much hayes would have on him. Hopefully we have enough to get by.
*12:00pm/Midnight*
After all the stressing out, it was time.
I grabbed my stuff and quickly made my way to the nearest window without getting noticed, I gently set my things down as I crawled out.
When I was fully outside I grabbed my stuff and quickly tried to make my way to the park where I would be meeting hayes
~Hayes POV
I was carrying a backpack and about $150 on me that I had earned with my part time job I had gotten from doing pointless chores.
I quickly rushed out of the house without being noticed and made my way to the park.
As I was walking all I could think about is "Is Michelle ok?", "what if she got caught??" It worried me a little bit.
When I finally got to the park I couldn't see anybody. Michelle wasn't anywhere to be seen. I looked around a couple times but she wasn't anywhere in sight, I felt my stomach get heavier.
But right as I was about to turn around I felt small hands cover my eyes,
"Hey stranger" I heard a little voice whisper in my ear, I smiled and turned around.
"Hey, for a second there I was starting to get worried" I say
Michelle laughed and I grabbed her hand.
"You nervous?" I asked looking down at her
"Kinda, you?" She asked
"Nah" I said, I was trying to act brave so she wouldn't get scared, I wanted her to know she had someone protecting her.
She smiled and playfully rolled her eyes
~Michelle's POV
When I saw Hayes I rushed over to him and put my hands around his eyes "hey stranger" I said trying not to giggle
He turned around and smiled, "hey, for a second there I was getting worried" he said, he always seems to get worried about me, but that just showed me that he cared.
He asked me if I was nervous, all I said was "kinda" but in reality I was freaking out, when I asked him the same question he claimed he wasn't nervous...when I really knew he was. He wanted me to feel safe and protected, and I love him for that.
We waited for the bus to come up, I sat on hayes lap and I snuggled up to him
"Ugh, when is the bus coming!" I complained
"Sooooon" hayes giggled, "don't forget, it is midnight, the next bus won't probably come until an hour"
"Awww, I can't wait that long." I giggled
Hayes chuckled and I rested my head on his chest falling asleep in his warm arms.
*An hour Later*
"Michelle wake up! The bus is here" hayes whispered gently shaking me wake
I nodded and got up, hayes carried both our bags and we climbed up on the bus.
We paid our fare and made our way to the back of the bus
"So where are you 2 going at 1:00 In the morning?" The bus driver said
Hayes and I looked at each other and stayed quiet
The bus driver gave us a glare, I guess he already knew we were runaways...
"Runaways huh?" He said
I sighed and buried my face in hayes chest, hayes nodded and the bus driver spoke again...
"It's ok, I've been there done that, I know how it feels." He said
Hayes gave him a slight smile and held me tight
"Just enjoy the ride" the bus driver said.
