Bullet pierces the skull
Particles of bone scatter
There was no push or pull
But that didn't seem to matter
Blood pouring like a river
Plume of smoke from my nostrils
Still standing, such a marvel
Liquid drips to fingertips
Rose a hand to take a sip
Taste of metal hit my lips
And the senses were relit
As I heard the trigger click
You could hear the skin split
Unsettled and confused
Blood puddling from you
Beckoning to certain doom
You were unbothered...
I wonder if the bullet faltered...
