After searching all the houses including the one with a storm shelter behind one of them, luckily we could purified water and canned food....but there was one more house that I couldn't bring myself to go into just yet I went to find Codsworth luckily he wasn't in the house...
I see him across the street in one the neighborhood houses, as I walked closer I could hear a sob most likely coming from Codsworth.
'...seems he finally understands...'
I walk toward the entrance of the house and walked through since there was no door I saw Codsworth in a corner sniffling and a few sobs here and there, I went towards him and patted his metal head he turned his head towards me.
"...Ruby their really are gone...aren't they..." I only nodded... I couldn't keep the air like this I must keep my real emotions down...right now all that matters is Codsworth.
"Codsworth," he looks at me in the eyes he knows I only say his full name when I'm serious.
"I...I know....i know that everything is...is hell...but..but...Sigh...listen I can't promise everything is going to be okay ...but as long as we stick together we can make things better we will get Shaun back...and know it won't be the same since...since Nora and Nate are gone but we are family and we can do this... I promise I will do everything in my power to make thing close to where they were and we all will be a happy family with a new life...just don't give up please."
I looked at him determinedly while he stared at me in awe
"Your right we can't give up... w-what about the city? Concord is nearby, and, well, the people there have only shot at me a few times..."
"Huh...shooting guess everything changed a lot."
Concord... I wonder if the Museum of Freedom is there I hope I always went with Nate and Nora also took little wonder when he was 10 months old...no can't think of that now...
"Alright, here's the plan I want you to stay here and check around gather things and secure if you can and ill head to Concord and check there and possibly find Little wonder maybe find clues if possible."
"Excellent plan Ru! ill trust you won't die...right?"
I smiled at him."Don't worry Cods, I know how to defend myself."
"Alright....just return safely"
I walked through the backdoor to the main bridge."HA....we both know safety is nowhere near me Cods"
"RU?!"
I just chuckled and walked towards the bridge as I was walking across it I saw a body and a skinless animal as I walked closer I looked in sympathy as it was a dog with a tool stuck in its body and beside it was a man with a long black trench coat and sunglasses.i grabbed the mans body and put it near the statue along with the dog as I was about to walk away I saw a bag, I looked around in case someone was here, when I notice no-one was nearby I went ahead looked through it found a medkit and some stimpacks I went ahead and put them in my backpack that I found that seems to be endless. I went back on the road and was amazed in front of me was a gas station but not just any gas station The Red Rocket gas station I sped up my pace but stop when I heard a bark I was baffled as a German shepherd ran towards me I knelt down and put my hand out
"Well hello, there who might you be, "there was a collar I grabbed it and read it, "Dogmeat...huh...nice to meet you...boy?"
he barked and surprisingly nodded his head so at least I don't have to check.
"I'm on my way to Concord would you like to join me boy?" he barked and twirled around.
I couldn't help but chuckle "alright Dogmeat lets go.".
I checked the gas station and found a few things found a terminal not much use though.
All the sudden Dogmeat started barking and heard small growls I looked at the window and to my terror there were hairless molerats outside there looked hideous but a little cute in my opinion before everything... but now...they just ugly...but luckily dogmeat took care of them was kind of scared why he literally ripped one of the last one head off finishing it, but hey who am i to judge.
after we got everything I put foot after foot on the grass only to stop when dogmeat stop, I turned around and looked at him.
"What's the wrong boy?"
he only looked at the ground near my feet I looked down as well...to my surprise, the grass started to grow a little bit greener by the minute, I hurried and stepped on the pavement and looked towards Dogmeat.
"We should probably keep this a secret huh boy, oddly enough this isn't the weirdest thing that has happened."
He just looked at me and nodded.
We ran down the road but stopped when we were close to buildings we were interrupted by gunshots me and Dogmeat ducked to the side and looked out I saw a man on the top deck at the museum yelling about raiders my guess the guys and a few women firing out him.
I took out my pistol and started shooting them one by one.
"Shit someone shooting from behind, KILL TH-"
I interrupted him with a bullet through the head as I picked off the last of them I headed inside, only to be shot at I hurried and started shooting them going around past the manakins and up the steps still shooting. As I got to the top floor I see guys punching the door me guessing where the man was I took out a knife and stood close to the shadow as they walked back I headed toward the first door and slammed it open and stabbed the man in the head while hurrying and taking out my gun and shooting the second one in the head as well, not noticing the door opening when I slated the door opened.
'Whelp that was eventful...'
I looked back to make sure Dogmeat was there noticing he was I patted his head and looked towards where the raiders were having a hissy fit and only met with a gun to my face.
I furrowed my brows "Ya know that ain't nice at all mister especially when you include the fact I helped ya."
the gun was down I got a good look at the man was African American with jet black hair and brown eyes he was tall.
"Your right thank you, your timing is impeccable. Preston Garvey, Commonwealth Minutemen."
"Glad I could help and it's nice to meet ya Preston call me Ru." I smiled at him as I looked around I could see 4 more people with him, an old lady with a blue cap, two people female and male sitting in front of a desk by another door and behind Preston was another male that had Elvis Presley hair but the smaller version it was cool yet funny.
"Well if that's true, we could use more good will. As you can see, we're in a bit of a mess here." he was either looking at his gun or out the window.
"What's happening?"
He sighed.
"A month ago, there were 20 of us. Yesterday there were 8. Now, we're 5. First, it was the ghouls in Lexington. Now this mess."
'Ghouls... the hell are those'
"I'm sorry that sounds rough."
He smiled while looking out Concord would be a safe place to settle. Those raiders proved us wrong. But...well, we do have one idea."
I tilted my head, "May I hear it?"
He tilted his head away from the window looking towards mini Elvis hair a little but not moving his eyes from the window, "Sturges? Tell her."
He like Preston was focused on something and started talking,
"There's a crashed vertibird up on the roof. Old school. Pre-war. You might've seen it."
The man with the mini version of Elvis Presley hairstyle was now smiling
"Well, looks like one of its passengers left a seriously sweet goody. Go check it out though it needs juice since it been out."
Preston then cuts in," yeah I know exactly where to find one check down the stairs, there should be a fusion core down there but the only problem is it's stuck behind the security door."
"Alright will do."
I started walking towards the closed door passing the other 3 though they had there heads down grandma looked kind of high though while the two others looked upset, I couldn't help but feel sympathy.
I heard the old lady talk
"Careful, kid. There's somethin' comin'. And it is...angry."
I smiled"Don't worry ma'm I got this, heh... let us hope it learn not to make me angry."
the last thing I felt was a few eyes towards me as I close the door and heard the old lady voice once again.
"That hair..."
I got the fusion core as I headed upstairs I could hear a gunshot as I opened the door to the roof I saw a power armor I couldn't help but squeal.... I always loved these I always saw them during the war...before Nate rescued me...Completely off topic.
before I got into the power armor I saw a container and found caps I went ahead and grabbed them and went into the power armor.
'Oh hell yeah....always loved these machines, though hated controlling them...to me it was more of how to build than how to use'
I saw the helicopter with the minigun and grabbed and yanked it off when I heard a male voice
"Up here. Boss someone up here!"
'shit!'
I heard Preston's voice.
"We've got this. Just keep your cool."
I went ahead jumped down and started shooting everything I could. But all the sudden the ground started shaking and metal on the road was ripped off a creature started crawling out.
'God damn it's like the demons coming from hell'
"Holy shit it's a Deathclaw!"
'Huh deathclaw...what a perfect name....for something that looks soooo nice' (sarcasm)
I only could do so much as the Deathclaw ran towards me slashing at me with its claws, seeming interested in a nearby raider and slashing it in half.
'ok then...Name Deathclaw for a reason..."
When I started shooting a raider that was being a nuisance I heard a small yelp and whimper, I turned around and saw the Deathclaw over Dogmeat about to finish him, my blood started to boil... I felt stronger than I normally was and I could lift a huge truck, I grabbed the bar in the arms tighter not noticing the dents I was creating.
"HEY MOTHERFUCKER," voice fierce making even the Deathclaw flinch as it turned towards me I held up the minigun yelling as it back up a little making the nearby raider look in shock and turn running.
"LEAVE *shoot round* MY *shoot rounds* FUCKING *shoots repeatedly* DOG ALONE YOU ASSHOLE!!!"
I kept shooting not noticing that the Deathclaw was already dead and splattered across the concrete, I finally snapped out of it when the minigun ran out of ammo, I was by the entrance and hurried to my furry friend and pulled a stimpack out of my bag and used it on Dogmeat. Noticing he finally healed we headed toward the museum.
As we opened the door we saw the small group already there in a corner on the right side talking to each other.
I heard Preston's voice first.
"Take it, easy mama, you ok?"
"I'm fine, Preston. Quit fussin'."
Preston noticed me along with the old lady.
"That was... a pretty amazing display. I'm just glad you're on our side."
"Heh, I feel the same been awhile since I talked to a person."
"By the way, if you're still looking somewhere to stay there a place called Sanctuary Hills nearby, up the hill actually past a gas station named Red Rocket."
Preston had a smile on his face.
"Thank you, that sounds perfect. What a coincidence Mama Murphy was talking about it as well."
The quiet woman by the man looked annoyed and was about to say something but left it alone,
"Nice I will meet you guys there. I have to do a few things."
As I was about to turn around, I heard the old lady now I know as Mama Murphy talk in a raspy voice.
"Kid there is a lot more to your destiny, ya know? I've seen it. And I know your pain."
I looked confused.
"Sorry, Mama Murphy I don't understand."
She only looked into my eyes with pity.
"You are a child out of time. Out of hope, yet keeps going. But I promise all is not lost. I can feel...your brothers energy. He is alive."
Before anyone could say anything, the woman by the pillar started talking.
"Ha. She means had one of her 'vision' while she was stoned out of her gourd."
I snapped my head towards her making her flinch along with a man beside her.
Sturges cut in right away. "Ho-hold on, hold on. Everybody just takes it easy. We're all in this together, right?"
He looked towards her. "So, Marcy. You got a better idea of what we should do next?"
Miss sassypants only grunted, I ignored her and looked back at Mama Murphy.
"Where is Little Wonder, Where is my little brother."
she only sighed,
"Kid it doesn't work like that I can't see him I just sence his present....but you could start at the great green jewel."
'Diamond city...been a while...we were going to take Shaun there for a family party.'
I looked at her.
"thank you so much ill head there in a few weeks time, ill meet you guys at Sanctuary.'
I turned around and headed out the door before I did I turned around I could tell they were scared.
'they may hide it but I can tell...'
"I can't say don't be scared...but I can say Don't worry there is always a safe place in life whether it be physical or mental."
