If you don't like how it turns out at a certain point, stick with it and avoid hate comments and wars. Don't appreciate them. Don't need them. Also under no circumstances can you complain that the character doesn't match your personality. It's not possible to match everyone's personality to one single character. It's a hassle and I've seen people complain about this in other fanfiction. Just enjoy the personality the author creates for you. It makes things far more interesting.
