CHAPTER DOS
-𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓗𝓪𝓻𝓰𝓻𝓮𝓮𝓿𝓮𝓼 𝓻𝓮𝓼𝓲𝓭𝓮𝓷𝓽𝓼 -
I ended up staring at the door of the Hargreeves household for a solid 5 minutes deciding whether this was all just a big mistake, they wouldn't want me here anyways. Just as I was about to turn around the door swung open showing Pogo standing right in the centre of the door way with a sympathetic smile resting upon his face. To be honest Lucianna missed Pogo just as much as the others yes he wasn't human but he was still there for Lucianna when she was crying her eyes out on restless nights. Pogo was saw Lucianna as his own, he saw her the when she was the most vulnerable and he saw her violent side which ever only appeared once in her lifetime.
"it's very nice to see you miss lucianna" even seeing pogo made a lucianna more calm than before.
"hello pogo...I missed you" and with that lucianna found herself in pogo's arms making her sign with relief.
"follow me miss lucianna, the others will start to wonder who's at the door"

"pogo who was a- lucianna?" and with that all the conversations were dropped and all eyes were on the coleman.
she scanned all their expressions they were mostly shocked, Klaus was over the moon as he saw his childhood best friend standing in the same rooms him for the first time in years, but of course her eyes landed on Diego trying to figure out what he was thinking at the girls sudden appearance. But before she could say anything Klaus was already swinging her side to side with a goofy smile on his face.
"uh well this was certainly a surprise." Luther almost sounded upset that it was lucianna here instead of Dante causing the coleman to frown.
"I'll just see myself out then-"
"nono !"
"WHAT! no no sissy you just go here" Klaus's upset tone told her that she couldn't just leave... again.
"please stay luce" it was a whisper but lucianna still managed to hear diego over the racket.
and with that Klaus ushered lucianna towards the bar and flinged a drink her way it was only 11 am but Klaus gave a nod in a reassured manner as she took a large gulp from the alcoholic beverage.
" well lucianna you came in just in time because we're having a memorial for dad by his favourite spot? at sunset to say a few words" Luther went on as per usual
only to be interrupted by Allison "dad had a favourite spot?"
" you know under the oak tree, we used to sit under there sometimes. did you guys not do that?" with Luther making the tension able to be cut with a knife of their adopted daddy issues it was a perfect time for lucianna to make another drink.
"can I recommend any refreshments? tea? crumpets?"
" maybe something like a tin and tonic to wash it all down." Lucianna's sarcastic remark made Klaus chuckle as he miss times like these.
" no, don't be silly. oh and put that out you know dad didn't approve of smoking in here." Luther pointed at the cigarette hanging out of Klaus's mouth as he took one more inhale and put the cigarette out of it's misery. lucianna was still behind the bar studying each and everyone of the Hargreeves she noticed how quiet Vanya has been since she got here, Luther on the other hand wouldn't let anyone else say a word.
"is that my skirt?" Allison said innocently to Klaus causing lucianna to giggle. all eyes were on klaus's choice of clothing making everyone confused, everyone but lucianna who was making her third drink well that was until Diego stopped her and shook his head in empathy causing her to pout and make puppy eyes towards him. it was obvious they missed each other but this was not the time nor the place to chat, he left out a sign and led her out the sofa were she leant on him for support.
"what? oh yeah this old thing. found it in your room, bit outdated but it's breathy on the bits." Klaus gave everyone a twirl and sat down next to lucianna and placed his head in her lap while she messaged his head.
"personally think it would've looked better on me but you still manage to pull it off." Klaus gasped dramatically at lucianna's comment.
"we have some thing to discuss. something important." Luther cut in before Klaus or lucianna could make another sarcastic remark it was obviously getting to Luther as he was glaring straight at the duo.
"like what?" Diego questioned.
"like the way he died." Luther stated making Diego mutter "here we go" under his breath causing lucianna to chuckle at his comment.
"didn't he die of a heart attacked" lucianna stated making sure Luther knew what he was on about.
"well that's what the coroner said."
"um wouldn't they know?" this was the first time Vanya actual spoke whilst lucianna was here. her eyes wondered the room looking at the detail of the over grand room but her eyes stopped on the portrait of five hanging above like he was staring down at us all. his disappearance was heart breaking to all of them but to lucianna it was like losing a piece of herself and she never knew how to replace it. she could never replace five.
"Theoretically." Luther said causally trying to put everyone at ease at his conspiracy theory.
"Theoretically?"
"well the last time I spoke to dad it was well lets say he was acting strange."
"acting strange how?" allison further questioned the giant man.
"starters he sounded on edge and secondly he told me to be careful who to trust." as soon as he started rambling about who to trust and whatnot he glared at lucianna who of course brought it up.
" was that second part aimed at me spaceboy?" at this point lucianna wasn't being her caring friendly self, once she's had two or three drinks she goes more confident more straight to the point rather than sugar coating the truth and letting things slide. and how Luther could've said that as the hargreeves and the Coleman's have been through thick and thin together.
"where's Dante anyways?" spaceboy avoided the question meaning it was aimed at her.
"oh the favourite coleman he's taking care of saying goodbye to his 'lady friends' he'll be here in a week or so, just enough time to throw him a welcome back party!" lucianna clapped her hands together trying to hide the fact that she was hurt.
"lucianna why are you even here?" that was the final straw. the siblings glared at their idiotic brother.
"Luther I don't know if being in space caused you to lose too many brain cells or you're just being a dick. pogo invited me and I accepted because I wanted to see you all but we can all see that it's not vice versa sooo." the poor girl tried to get up but was pulled down by Klaus and got interrupted by pogo.
"miss lucianna stay where you're seated, sir Reginald had it very clear when he passed that you'd be here." lucianna made a groan in annoyance. Luther mumbled something causing Allison to hit him meaning he was completely in the wrong.
"sorry what was that"
" I said I wished Dante was here to see the mess you are." and with everyone had wide eyes at Luther and him, himself realised what he said.
"Luther apologised." was all Allison said in whilst Klaus on the other hand grabbed his shoe and threw it at Luther's head. In surprised it hit his head and the duo high fived. Diego was up brought with anger as he threw one of his many knives which just grazed his ear spaceboy let out a hiss in pain and looked again at lucianna with apologetic eyes.
"luce..."
"don't call me that." she poor girl looked at the ground with pure sadness in her eyes.
" I'm so sorry I- I just haven't seen you in a long time." he carried on but at this point lucianna wasn't listening to anything that came out of that giant's mouth. but she did feel two hands on each of hers looking up to see both Diego and Klaus holding her hands, she let out a smiled and sneezed their hands in gratitude.
"um klaus i need you to contact dad in the after life." Luther didn't stop talking and no one thought he ever would so lucianna gently placed her head on Diego's shoulder as he kissed the top of it. little things like this is what lucianna missed the most, the little signs of affection which makes her big heart beat a little faster.
"what would you want me to say 'hey dad can you stop playing tennis with hitler for a minute to take a quick call'" Klaus looked at Luther with absolute distort whilst giggling at his request.
"Klaus just do it." spaceboy's tone of voice was more stern than before.
"I can't... I'm not in the right sense of mind." he continued to giggle to himself like a little boy he truly was.
"he's high" lucianna translated to the hargreeves. Klaus caused to laugh at lucianna as she ruffled his hair.
"yeah yeah I am.. I mean how could you not at this borefest." gesturing to each of his siblings and stopped before getting to his best friend, lucianna.
"well sort yourself out, this is important. his monocle is missing." sighing
"who cares about a stupid monocle?"
"exactly its worthless, a piece of junk. meaning whoever took it must of had a grudge on dad." Luther states as he looks at everyone before him.
"where are you going with this."
"please kiss and tell."
lucianna more shocked horror than ever she gasped at the thought of what Luther was hinting at his siblings. how could he?
"Luther here thinks one of us killed him." she shocked her head in disgust.
"how could you think that?" both Klaus and Vanya questioned in disbelief.
"great job brother, nice way to lead the way." Diego got up and patted the man's chest, walking out first.
"that's not what I meant." Luther tried to convince everyone along with himself.
Klaus practically jumps out of his position to point at Luther in anger. " you're crazy man- ... pure crazy!"
Luther raised his tone in voice as the other got up and left "I'm not finished."
"sorry just going to murder mom. see you later." Klaus grabbed his drink before walking out, lucianna got up and followed "you know what Klaus? I was thinking killing off pogo aswell he's too lively nowadays." lucianna shouted at Klaus. now only Allison and Luther were in the room alone. she grabbed her bag and let out a sigh of relief as it was just the same as she left well except without Dante was is probably living his best life.
the house was completely silent until lucianna shouted "hey Klaus! that was my drink, come back here!"
nothing had changed
but it all would before they would know it.
