Crosses between two species were rare enough but between all three... Some would say it's impossible, though there she was. Olivia Campbell, the only tribrid in existence; the only one of her kind.
For centuries she kept her true identity concealed, and for centuries she'd been running and hiding ⏤ it was all she knew. In a way, she feared the implications of being discovered; hunted and tormented for the rest of eternity. She supposed, in the eyes of the supernatural world, she was an abomination of the laws of nature. And so, Olivia moved from town to town, never lingering in the same place for too long and never letting anyone in. It was easier that way.
She used to be a monster; in a way, she supposed she still was. Though she'd moved past the days where she'd kill meaninglessly with the suffocating need to feel something; anything. It all dated back to the day she lost everything. Though she supposed she didn't really have anything to lose ⏤ well, she couldn't recall that she ever did anyway.
Her life before a certain point was blank. She had no recollection of when she was still human and she supposed that was why she always felt so empty. As every monster, even the most violent or cold-hearted, has a flicker of humanity left within them.
As years, centuries, passed by meaninglessly, Olivia tried to regain what she lost and figure out the truth regarding who she was and how she came to be, though her attempts were always to no avail; she figured they never would be.
However, everything changed when she moved back to a small town, forgettable to most but not to her. Mystic Falls, Virginia turns out to be more than she remembered; the people especially so. As time flickers by and new and familiar faces reveal themselves, she finally gets close to finding out the truth ⏤ about the forgotten memories of her past, about how she came to exist, about who she is; about what she is...
