i remember that weekend like it was yesterday

you had surprised me in la

god, i remember everything so vividly

when i walked in the hotel room and you just stood there looking perfect

and i was so fucking happy, i started crying

and i remember that hug, and that kiss

god, holding and seeing you after such a long time really is so much different

a good different

i remember all i wanted to do was hold onto you

and you smelled so good

cherry blossom shampoo and lavender body wash

mint and vanilla perfume

and when you wrapped your arms around me and i could just hold you

it was the best feeling

and the next day we went to disneyland

god, you loved it

you dragged me everywhere and basically ate something from every vendor

and you were so excited to get those plastic stuffed ears

and meeting the characters, you were so amazed

and you got so mad because i was getting tired. you didn't want that night to end.

you spent your first trip to disneyland with me

and i remember you absolutely loved it

and i knew that i would always love you, i wanted to marry you. i still do, i think i always will.
