Matthias' best friend

Chapter 1

"Katie, hurry up we're already running late and might miss our flight!" My Best friend, Matthias, yelled through the house I shared with him, his wife Amanda and his daughter Luna. Meanwhile, I was running every which way picking up things and packing them in my suitcase. When I had finished packing up all of my clothes, which took forever because I packed about ten different outfits for a six-day trip, I ran out of the bedroom into the hallway, almost running over  Matthias' daughter Luna. Leaning over I scooped her up and brought her downstairs, turning on 'Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood' for her as she sat down on the plush gray and white shaggy rug. This is when my whole life took a turn, was it for the worse?
