God [POV]
Practice hadn't started yet but almost everyone was there by now all excluding Asahi, Noya and Tanaka.
"Where are those three they're going to be late if they don't get here soon" Suga pointed out tossing the ball to Hinata
"That's their own fault if they're late" Daichi scolded with a sigh
"Doesn't Asahi get here at the last minute every day though?" Hinata asked almost getting hit in the face with the ball again
"Don't worry about that Hinata he just does that so he can decide whether or not he has the confidence to show up or not" Daichi explained with a laugh "You know how little confidence he has"
"Yeah but if he gets here early then he wont have time to over think it because he'll already be here" He exclaimed hitting the ball back to Suga
"Why don't you tell that to him when he gets here" Suga suggested
"You could try telling him Hinata but I doubt he'll understand what he means" Daichi explained going into the back room "Kageyama come help me out with these" he called
"Kay" Kageyama called running over to help Daichi carry the poles to their places
"What about Noya and Tanaka are they usually late?" Hinata asked
"Not really, sometimes they're late like everyone but not usually so it's still not really anything to worry about" Suga caught the ball stuffing it under his armpits "Come on let's help set up while we wait for everyone else"
"Yeah" Hinata nodded following Suga into the back room
"You too Tsukishima, Yamaguchi" Suga peeked his head out of the doorway looking at Tsukishima and Yamaguchi who were sitting on the ledge of the stage
"Ugh fine" Tsukishima stood up stretching his arms above his head before coming over to help. When the court was set up Asahi, Noya and Tanaka still haven't arrived
"It's possible they're sick today?" Suga asked nervously scratching at the back of his neck
"All three of them at the same time?" Daichi asked raising one eyebrow Suga opened his mouth to answer but then Tanaka threw open the gym door panting
"You're late" Daichi scolded
"Where were you?" Suga asked crossing his arms in front of his chest (A.N. I low key forgot that Suga was a boy and had to stop to contemplate my life choices for a while, Suga is such a mom friend that I forgot he was a boy) "And do you know where Noya and Asahi are?" Tanaka doubled over leaning his arms on his knees gasping for breath.
"Careful there don't want you to pop a lung" Tsukishima snickered
"Call the doctor...., or the exorcist....., or someone" Tanaka exclaimed
"What why? What's wrong?" Suga asked quickly
"Asahi and....., Noya...," he started
"What's wrong with them?" Daichi asked starting to get concerned but before Tanaka could explain anymore the door swung open slowly and Noya and Asahi walked in. Asahi came in first followed by Noya who seemed to be hiding behind his legs
"Sorry we're late!" Asahi shouted bowing his head
"Where were you three and why are you late?" Daichi scolded crossing his arms in front of his chest Asahi just shrugged looking back at Noya smiling brightly
"Slept late I guess?" He questioned
"Sorry...," Noya muttered sheepishly
"Call the exorcist" Tanaka exclaimed again, Daichi gave him a weird side glance before continuing
"That's no excuse but come on you were keeping everyone waiting" Daichi scolded turning around and going to start practice. As Noya and Asahi walked by Tanaka ran away hiding behind Kageyama who had just came over out of curiosity.
"What are you doing?" Kageyama asked turning around, Tanaka hissed at Noya as he passed. Noya flinched cowering behind Asahi some more.
"Did you two get into a fight or something?" Kageyama asked Tanaka
"He's not Noya and Asahi isn't Asahi" Tanaka explained glaring at the two of them as they sat down on the gym floor waiting for Daichi to start practice
"Come on let's not hold everyone up" Kageyama started to walk towards them
"Stay away from them they'll steal your soul" Tanaka warned. Kageyama gave him a confused look before sitting down next to Noya. Tanaka sat down as far away from the two of them as possible. As everyone gathered around Daichi started practice and everyone got up.
"Asahi" Hinata called running over to Asahi
"Yeah?" Asahi asked with a smile
"Suga told me to tell you that I think that you should come to practice early so that you won't have time to contemplate if you'll have the courage to come to practice" Hinata explained
"I don't need to do that just because I was late today doesn't mean I didn't have confidence because I'm your senpai" He exclaimed ruffling Hinata's hair
"What?" Hinata muttered confused at his reaction
"I am your senpai right?" He asked raising one eyebrow
"Yeah?" Hinata responded still confused
"Say it" He instructed
"Um I need to go get in line for practice" Hinata explained backing up slowly before running over to Kageyama forgetting to slow down and running straight into his back
"Ow watch it" he exclaimed dropping the ball he was holding
"Kageyama I think Asahi hit his head" Hinata exclaimed
"What makes you think that" He asked rolling his eyes
"He wanted me to call him senpai" Hinata explained
"So he is our senpai" Kageyama raised an eyebrow
"That's not like him though" Hinata whined
"That's more of something Noya would want you to do" Suga chimed in coming over
"Maybe he hit his head or something?" Hinata asked
"Not much we can do about it maybe he had a change in confidence over the weekend?" Suga shrugged
"Shouldn't you be worries about this?" Hinata asked looking over at Noya who was practicing his receiving. Any time he missed a ball he apologized profusely and seemed to be forced to ask for one more.
"I think they've rubbed off on each other more than they think" Suga shrugged
"Suga, Hinata, Kageyama stop slacking off" Daichi scolded
"Sorry sorry" the tree of them scattered going back to doing what they were doing before hand. After practice they all sat down on the gym floor just hanging out. Noya and Asahi sat next to each other Asahi was being loud making jokes and talking, Noya listened but didn't say much
"They seem like they're completely different people" Hinata whispered to Kageyama
"I guess you're right?" Kageyama whispered back
"Do you two have a problem?" Asahi exclaimed furrowing his eyebrows
"No no not at all?" Hinata exclaimed holding his hands out in front of him defensively. Asahi shot me a glare before returning to his conversation.
"It's like they've completely switched personalities" Tanaka exclaimed peeking between the two of them
"I think you're overreacting Tanaka" Kageyama started
"Tanaka do you have a problem too" Asahi shouted jumping up
"YES I DO" Tanaka shouted standing up as well they ran around the gym shouting at each other shouting profanities and other things at each other
"Guys can you please not fight" Noya begged softly but I don't think neither of them heard him
"Give me back Asahi" Tanaka shouted tackling Asahi
"I'm right here you moron" he shouted
"Guys please" Noya begged again getting up slowly holding his arms out in defense
"Both of you stop horsing around before you break something like Suga's heart" Daichi shouted at the two of them, they froze looking over at Suga. He was standing behind Noya his hands on his shoulders his mouth hung open like he was going to say something but nothing came out.
"Sorry Suga" The both of them shouted bowing
"What's up with the both of you two today neither of you are yourselves?" Suga asked squeezing Noya's shoulders
"I don't know what you're talking about" Asahi shrugged
"You two have been spending too much time together your personalities are rubbing off on each other" Daichi explained Asahi and Noya looked at each other confused.
"Have you-?" Asahi trailed off
"Are we-?" Noya asked, suddenly the both of them burst out laughing
"What's going on?" Suga asked looking between the two of them "What's so funny"
"I can't do this all day I just...., I just can't I'm sorry Asahi like this is exhausting" Noya exclaimed between laughter
"That was exhausting how do you do it all day" Asahi cried out fanning himself "My heart is pounding in my chest"
"Sorry Asahi but it was hilarious" Noya ran over to Asahi wrapping his arms around him
"Yeah you're right but it was terrifying" Noya rested his head on Asahi's chest
"Wow your heart really is beating fast" He exclaimed
"Wait what's going on were you two just pretending?" Suga asked
"Yeah all day we didn't intend to run into Ryu though" Noya scratched at the back of his neck awkwardly
"We thought you two both hit your head or something and had like some weird personality mix up" Hinata shouted
"That was just you" Kageyama corrected
"But how did you do it Noya? How'd you get Asahi to agree on it" Tanaka exclaimed
"Like this" Noya went up on his tip toes pressing his lips to Asahi's
"N-Noya" Asahi stuttered his face flushing a dark red as he backed away. Noya laughed triumphantly
"Wait you guys are dating?" Tanaka shouted
"For a few months now why?" Noya raised one eyebrow
"Yeah it was kinda obvious" Suga laughed scratching at the back of his neck
"Why didn't you tell me I thought I was your best friend" Tanaka whined
"Because Asahi is shy" Noya laughed
