Parvati- A simple girl, loner, works in houses as helper, people call her as bad omen and treats her very badly. They taunt her saying she is a girl born with a bad star and will cause destruction to people who ever talks with her. Loves Rama.
Rama- A kind young man who works as a helper in Lawyer Bhaskar house. He doesn't believe in any superstition. Voices out his opinion openly. He is very faithful and hard working. Loves his master's family as his own. Loves Parvati a lot.
Lawyer Bhaskar- A very kind person. Loves his family. Doesn't believe in any kind of superstition. Treats others with respect. Loves Rama like a son. Has a soft corner to Parvati.
Janaki- Teacher in school, Wife of Lawyer Bhaskar. Loves her family. Extremely superstitious. Dislikes Parvati.
Lakshmi: Daughter of Lawyer Bhaskar and Janaki. A very fun loving girl. Loves Parvati and can make any sacrifice in order to see Parvati happy.
Munna - Son of lawyer Bhaskar and Janaki. Works in Mumbai.
Gangadhara Master - Colleague of Janaki and their neighbor. Suffers from Short term memory loss. He was hit by a coconut and suffers from memory loss from that time.
Dhogra - Neighbor of Lawyer Bhaskar. He helps in plucking coconuts in the neighborhood.
Harish - Student of Janaki and Son of Dhogra.
Lawyer Satish - Friend and colleague of Bhaskar. He wishes Lakshmi to be his daughter in law.
Dhanraj - Son of Lawyer Satish. Lives in US.
Sadananda - A middle aged man. Married and has a daughter. Owner of Sadananda beedi.
Rajesh: Brother of Parvati. Lazy to work. He is a drunkard. He depends on salary of his sister.
Other characters will be introduced as story progresses.
