~Frigga's P.O.V.~
I was currently on a school bus, back from a field trip. The school Uncle Tony sent me to, Midtown School of Science and Technology, allowed us to go on a field trip. I sat alongside Betty Brant, one of my friends that I made here at this school, as I scrolled through my datapad, checking messages when I heard Ned, one of my friends shout out. "Holy shit! We're all gonna die! There's a spaceship!"
All of my classmates, including Betty scrambled to the windows in the back to see what Ned was talking about. I turned around to see a huge spaceship, one that I haven't seen before. I then glanced over to see my best friend, Peter Parker, putting on his web shooters that Uncle Tony gave him. As soon as he turned over towards me, I grinned. "I'll race you."
Peter, who still had no idea that I could teleport, returning my grin. "You're on. Winner gets ten bucks."
"Double or nothing." I suggested.
Peter's smile widened. "You're on, Frigga."
Peter then quickly used one of his webs to pull the emergency exit lever on the opposite side of the bus. He then turned back towards me. "Looks like I'm winning."
A smirk appeared on my face. "Yeah for now."
I teleported right in front of him, surprising him. I then teleported to the park where I saw a giant alien species I had never seen before. He was about to hit Uncle Tony with his hammer, however I quickly ignited my yellow lightsaber. My lightsaber clashed with his hammer. I turned back to see Uncle Tony in his iron suit.
"Hi Uncle Tony!" I exclaimed as I pushed back the hammer.
"Frigga? Where did you come from?" Uncle Tony asked.
Before I could reply, Peter appeared, wearing his full Spider-Man suit. "Hey, no fair. I didn't know you could teleport."
I shrugged. "Well, you never asked. And for the record, you owe me twenty bucks."
"Twenty bucks?" Uncle Tony repeated, sounding rather baffled.
Peter then noticed Uncle Tony as he helped fight the alien. "What's up, Mr. Stark?"
"Kid, where'd you come from?" Uncle Tony inquired.
"We had a field trip to MoMA." I informed him.
I then got distracted as I accidentally lowered my lightsaber. The big alien then threw me back, sending me flying back in a tree. I turned around to see Banner, mom's friend. He furrowed his brows when he saw me. "Frigga?"
"Hi Dr. Banner!" I exclaimed. "It's nice seeing you again."
With that I hopped out of the tree, making my way towards Uncle Tony and Peter. Once I rejoined them, I heard Peter ask Uncle Tony. "What is this guy's problem, Mr. Stark?"
"He's from space. He came here to steal a necklace from a wizard." Uncle Tony explained as we took on the giant alien.
He then threw Peter back towards the fountain. As I used the Force, pushing the alien back against a tree, I turned towards Uncle Tony. "You mean Doctor Strange?"
"How did you know that?" Uncle Tony inquired.
"Mom, Uncle Thor, and I meet him." I replied. "Uncle Thor called him a wizard as well."
"Go figure..." He muttered.
The giant alien then used his hammer against Uncle Tony, and he quickly used his shield to protect himself. At that moment, we saw an unconscious Doctor Strange, flying through the park. As I helped to push the alien back, Uncle Tony turned towards Peter. "Kid, that's the wizard. Get on it."
"On it!" Peter exclaimed before taking off.
Not too long after Peter left, he contacted us through the comms Uncle Tony gave us. "Uhh, Mr. Stark? I'm being beamed up!"
"Hang on, kid." Uncle Tony replied.
The alien's hammer turned into a claw as he pinned Uncle Tony to the ground, crushing his suit a bit. Before he could hurt him, I used the Force with all my strength, pulling him back. However he fought back, trying to pierce Uncle Tony with his blade. However at that moment, a man, wearing similar clothing as Doctor Strange opened a portal of a snowy place, sending the alien there. The alien then turned and leaps to return to us, however the man was able to close it just in time so only the alien's severed hand makes it back to us. Banner immediately kicked the hand away with a look of disgust.
"Are you a wizard, like Doctor Strange?' I inquired.
The man sighed. "I am Wong, and I prefer the title: Master of Mystic Arts."
I turned back towards Tony, using the Force to free Tony from the alien's weapon. Once he was free, I approached him. "Are you all right?"
"Never better." Uncle Tony replied before turning towards Wong. "Wong, you're invited to my wedding."
"Uncle Tony, can I come along?" I questioned.
Uncle Tony immediately whipped around to face me. "Definitely not, kid. I promised your mom I'd make sure you're safe. So I have to keep an eye out on you."
"But I can help you, Uncle Tony. I'm stronger than you think. Besides how can you make sure I'm safe if I remain down here while you go up to the big ship?" I inquired.
"She's got a point." Wong commented.
Uncle Tony sighed. "Fine, jeez. You are Loki's daughter after all."
I grinned. "Thank you, Uncle Tony! You won't regret this!"
With that, Uncle Tony began to fly towards the large ship that began leaving Earth's atmosphere. I then concentrated on the ship before teleporting myself there, waiting for Uncle Tony. As I searched the ship, I overheard Uncle Tony's conversation with Aunt Pepper.
"Tony? Oh, my God. Are you all right? What's going on?" Aunt Pepper asked, sounding very worried.
"Yeah, I'm fine. I just think we might have to push our 8:30 res." Uncle Tony commented.
"Why?" Aunt Pepper inquired.
"Just 'cause I'll...probably not make it back for a while." Uncle Tony explained.
"Tell me you're not on that ship." Aunt Pepper urged.
"Yeah." Uncle Tony said.
Aunt Pepper sighed. "God, no. Please tell me you're not on that ship."
"Honey, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I don't know what to say." Uncle Tony replied.
"Come back here, Tony. I swear to God..." Aunt Pepper begged.
"Pep..." Uncle Tony began.
"Come back here right now! Come back!" Aunt Pepper exclaimed before she was cut off.
The call ended as Uncle Tony made his way towards me. "Let's find the wizard."
"It's Doctor Strange." I corrected.
Uncle Tony nodded, looking slightly annoyed. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Now let's find him before I change my mind, and decide to leave you back in the park."
"Yes sir." I replied.
And with that we cautiously began to search for Doctor Strange on this enormous ship.
~Obi's P.O.V.~
As soon as I woke up, I saw a creature resembling a Lurmen along with a tree with eyes who looked pretty engrossed in a small tablet, along with three different aliens I've never met, and a man with strawberry blonde hair. I narrowed my eyes. "Who are you guys?"
"We're the Guardians of the Galaxy. And I'm Peter Quill, the Captain." The man with strawberry blonde hair announced.
The Lurmen scoffed. "We're still deciding on that...I'm Rocket, this is Groot."
"I am Groot." Groot said.
And one by one, they introduced themselves, leaving me the last person to introduce myself. "I'm Obi-Wan."
Peter's eyes widened. "Obi-Wan? Like Obi-Wan Kenobi?!"
Rocket sighed as he rolled his eyes. "Oh boy, here we go..."
I nodded, getting very creeped out. "Uh...yeah, except Kenobi's not my last name. That was the name of an old friend of my mom's."
Peter's eyes then landed on my belt. "Is that a lightsaber? Oh my God, are you a Jedi...just like Luke and Obi-Wan?!"
I was so overwhelmed as he continued to get more excited. Gamora put a hand on Peter's shoulder. "...I think you should calm down. You're overwhelming the poor boy."
"Sorry, I'm just a huge fan of Star Wars." Peter commented.
I then glanced over to see Uncle Thor asleep on a table. My eyes widened. "Uncle Thor!"
"This guy is your uncle?" Drax inquired.
I nodded. "Yes, is he all right?"
"He's asleep." Mantis mentioned before placing a hand on his forehead. "But he'll be fine."
Uncle Thor then jolted up before getting up from the table, stumbling back before turning to see Peter and the others. "Who the hell are you guys?"
•••
After explaining what Thanos did, Uncle Thor and I got blankets, wrapped over us along with some soup to eat. Never had I been so hungry in my life.
"The entire time I knew Thanos, he only ever had one goal: To bring balance to the universe by wiping out half of all life. He used to kill people planet by planet, massacre by massacre..." Gamora explained.
"Including my own." Drax added.
"If he gets all six Infinity Stones, he can do it with the snap of his fingers, like this." Gamora mentioned as she she snapped her fingers.
"You seem to know a great deal about Thanos." Uncle Thor pointed out.
"Gamora... is the daughter of Thanos." Drax revealed.
"Your father killed my brother." Uncle Thor then stood before making his way towards Gamora with a furious look. "And he took one of my best friends and sister-in-law, Storm."
"They took my mom away from us..." I added.
"Oh, boy. Stepfather. Technically, she hates him as much as you do." Peter mentioned.
Uncle Thor softened his face at Peter's words. He then placed a hand on Gamora's shoulder. "Families can be tough. Before my father died, he told me I had a half-sister...that he imprisoned in Hel. Then she returned home, and stabbed me in the eye, so...I had to kill her. It's life, isn't it, I guess. Goes round and round and...I feel your pain."
Peter glared at Uncle Thor as he looked at his hand on Gamora's shoulder. Peter quickly moved in between the both of them. "And I feel your pain, as well. I mean it's not a competition, but I've been through a lot. My father killed my mother, then I had to kill my father. And that was hard. Probably even harder than having to kill a sister. Plus, I, came out of it with both of my eyes-"
I rolled my eyes. "You wanna talk about pain? Then you should hear my mother's story. Not only does she have three evil cousins, but she had an evil Sith and Separatist Leader as her grandfather, an evil Nightsister and Sith Lady as her aunt, and turns out two of them she thought were dead, have come back, most likely to torture her."
"Damn, her family's got issues." Rocket commented.
"Oh you have no idea." I replied.
"Wait..by any chance is your mom, Storm Ca'ana? The Jedi from a different galaxy?" Peter questioned.
I nodded. "Yeah, you know her?"
"No, we never met her. But your mother is known throughout this galaxy as a Defender of the Galaxies." Gamora informed me.
Peter scoffed. "Totally not as great as the name 'Guardians of the Galaxy' if you ask me."
Uncle Thor looked at his spoon, not paying much attention to us. "I need a hammer, not a spoon..."
He then moved towards the pod, trying to unlock it. "How do I open this thing? Is there some sort of a four-digit code maybe... Maybe a birth date or something..."
"What are you doing?" Peter inquired.
"Taking your pod." Uncle Thor explained.
Peter then cleared his throat before he deepened his voice. "No, you're not! You'll not, be taking our pod today, sir."
"Quill. Are you making your voice deeper?" Rocket asked.
"No." Peter replied.
"You are. You're imitating the God-man. It's weird." Drax commented.
"No I'm not." Peter denied.
"He just did it again!" Mantis gasped.
"This is my voice!" Peter exclaimed.
"No, you're voice is definitely not that deep. Besides you squealed like a girl not too long ago when you discovered my name's Obi-Wan and that I have a lightsaber, which I can use if your voice gets any deeper." I warned.
Rocket snickered. "I like this kid. Can we keep him?"
"I'm a person, not a pet. And besides I need to find my mom." I urged.
Uncle Thor narrowed his eyes at Peter, ignoring me for the moment. "Are you mocking me?"
"Are you mocking me?" Peter mocked.
"Stop it. You did it again." Uncle Thor argued.
"He's trying to copy me." Peter protested.
"Would you stop doing that? He's doing it first." Uncle Thor retorted.
"Enough!" Gamora shouted, intervening in their little quarrel. "We need to stop Thanos. Which means we need to find out where he's going next."
"Knowhere." Uncle Thor replied before rummaging through the food.
"He must be going somewhere." Mantis mentioned.
"No. Knowhere? It's a place. We've been there. It sucks." Peter stated before noticing what Uncle Thor was doing. "Excuse me, that's our food."
"Not anymore." Uncle Thor shot back.
"Thor...Why would he go to Knowhere?" Gamora asked.
"Because for years, the Reality Stone has been safely stored, there with a man we call the Collector." Uncle Thor explained.
"If it's with the Collector, then it's not safe. Only an idiot would give that man a stone." Peter argued.
"Or a genius." Uncle Thor corrected.
"How do you know he's not going for one of the other Stones?" Gamora questioned.
"There's six stones out there. Thanos already has the Power Stone because he stole it last week, when he decimated Xandar. He stole the Space Stone from me when he destroyed my ship and slaughtered half my people. The Time and Mind Stones are safe on Earth. They're with the Avengers." Uncle Thor explained.
"The Avengers?" Peter repeated, rather baffled.
"They're Earth's Mightiest Heroes." I reiterated.
"Like Kevin Bacon?" Mantis asked.
I glanced over at Uncle Thor to see he was just as confused as I was. Uncle Thor hesitated. "He may be on the team. I don't know. Haven't been there in a while. As for the Soul Stone, well, no one's ever seen that. No one even knows where it is. Therefore, Thanos can't get it. Therefore, he's going to Knowhere. Hence, he'll be getting the Reality Stone. You're welcome."
"Then we have to go to Knowhere now." Gamora urged.
"Wrong! Where we have to go, is Nivadellir." Uncle Thor corrected.
"That's a made up word." Drax argued.
"All words are made up." Uncle Thor shot back.
"But what about my mom?" I protested.
Uncle Thor's face softened as he turned towards me. "I know Storm very well. She's a fighter, and I know she'll get find a way to escape. Trust me, Obi. She's been in worst situations."
"Hold up, Nidavellir is real? Seriously? I mean, that place is a legend." Rocket commented as he grew excited. "They make the most powerful, horrific weapons to ever torment the Universe. I would very much like to go there, please."
"The rabbit is correct, and clearly the smartest among you." Uncle Thor rebuked.
Rocket raised an eyebrow. "Rabbit?"
"Rocket's not a rabbit." I replied.
"Thank you." Rocket said, sounding relieved.
"He's clearly a Lurmen." I corrected.
"Hold up, what?" Rocket asked, sounding even more baffled.
"Only Eitri the dwarf king can make me the weapon I need." Uncle Thor explained before turning to Rocket. "I assume you're the Captain, sir?"
"You're very perceptive." Rocket complimented.
"You seem like a noble leader. Will you join me on my quest to Nidavellir?" Uncle Thor asked.
"Lemme just ask the Captain. Oh, wait a second, it's me!" Rocket exclaimed. "Yeah, I'll go."
"Wonderful." Uncle Thor replied.
Peter then intervened. "Except for that I'm the Captain."
"Quiet!" Uncle Thor urged before grabbing a backpack, making his way towards the pod.
Peter groaned. "That's my backpack."
"Go sit down." Rocket ordered.
"Look, this is my ship. And I'm not goin' to...Wait, what kind of weapon are we talking about here?" Peter inquired.
"The Thanos killing kind." Uncle Thor explained.
"Don't you think that we should all have a weapon like that?" Peter pointed out.
"No. You simply lack the strength to wield them. Your bodies will crumble as your minds collapse into the madness." Uncle Thor elaborated.
Rocket chucked. "Is it weird that I wanna do it even more now?"
Uncle Thor nodded. "A little bit. Yeah."
I shrugged. "I've heard weirder things."
"If we don't go to Knowhere and Thanos retrieves another stone, he'll be too powerful to stop." Gamora commented.
"He already is." Uncle Thor replied.
"I got it figured out. We got two ships, and a large assortment of morons. So me and Groot will go with the pirate-angel here, and the morons will go to Knowhere to try and stop Thanos." Rocket explained. "Cool?"
"So cool." Uncle Thor said with a big grin.
"For the record... I know that you're only going with him because it's where Thanos isn't." Peter shot back.
"You know, Quill, you shouldn't talk that way to your Captain, Quill." Rocket warned as he entered the pod. "Come on, Groot. Put that game down, you'll rot your brain."
As Groot entered the pod, Uncle Thor turned to me. "Obi, are you coming?"
I looked back at the Guardians before turning back to Uncle Thor. Uncle Thor's right, my mom has been in worse situations. I nodded. "Yeah, I'll join you."
With that I entered the pod, joining Uncle Thor, Groot, and Rocket.
"I bid you farewell and good luck, morons. Bye." Uncle Thor said.
Mantis then waved at us before we left the ship, making our way towards Nivadellir.
