Part Five
I just stared blankly at them. "Ok. So after 17 years, you've decided to put me in your life?" I asked bewildered. "After you left me to my aunt and uncle to look after me for all that time? You just want me to drop everything and leave? To come live with almost complete strangers?" They cannot be serious.
But serious they were. "Yes. We only left you with my sister because we thought that it was the most safe. Bad things were occurring when you were born." My mother said. She had honesty in her eyes.
"Please," She begged. "Please forgive us. We love and only wanted what's best for you." She had tears in her eyes. I barely knew her but I went to her. I wrapped my arms around her silently and she embraced me back.
"I-I forgive you." I said. She had a huge smile. She hugged me again. We let go a minute later and i turned to my father. He had love in his gaze as he looked at me. My brothers all smiled at me, and my sister looked at me with awe. I couldn't stay mad at them.
My sisters came up shyly. Silently, I opened my arms and they hugged me. Bara spoke up. "I've wanted to meet you for a long time. Mama said we would some day." Edau nodded.
"Yes. We were so sad you couldn't be with us." She said. These girls didn't know me, yet accepted me already. Wow. They were raised right. I smiled at them.
"Thank God! I always wanted sisters, but I got an annoying little brother. I can't wait to learn more about you girls." I said. Austin glared at me. "Oh you know I love you Aussie." His glare was quickly replaced with a smile. I swear, sometimes I think he's bipolar.
I looked at my brothers who looked at me with happiness. I opened my arms wide. They took a second to get it but came up and gave me hugs.
"We are so joyed to finally have you in our lives, sister." Daflen said once I let them go.He, along with the rest of my family, spoke with an accent.I decided to ask about it later.
Pren and Dawelach nodded. "We have been waiting many years to finally see you." Pren said.
"You are gorgeous, sister." Dawelach said. I blushed slightly at that comment. "Thank you." I said.
My mother spoke up. "Amethyst, we've waited so long for you to finally come back." She said.
"Please, call me Amee. It's much easier to say." I said smiling. She nodded. I turned to my father. I had his eyes and hair. He looked at me with so much emotion. I went up and hugged him and he hugged me tightly back. He muttered something in a different language. He pulled back and looked at me. "My daughter, you are so lovely." He said fondly. the color returned to my cheeks.
Lastly, I looked at the Lili, Gigfran, and Blondie, er, Golau. Lili came up and hugged me very tightly.
"Hello! I am Lili! We will be great friends. I cannot wait to know more of you!" She said. She inhaled deeply through her nose. "What a lovely scent you carry!" She said. She seemed very excitable.
"Um, thanks? I'm Amee." I said. She giggled. "I know! I like you already!" She said, giving me another bone crushing hug. She finally let go when someone cleared their throat.
Gigfran came over to me, obviously amused at Lili's antics. "Hello little one. I am your cousin, Gigfran. He gave me a gentle hug. "I hold much joy in welcoming you back into the family." She said giving me a warm smile. He might be big, but he seemed gentle. I liked him too.
Once out of his arms, I turned to Blondie. I gave him a smile and he seemed entranced. I was too. I took in his attractive stature again. Damn, I was eye-screwing him. But can you blame me? Geez, he looked like a Calvin Klein model for God's sake! He was oogling me like I was him. I broke the silence.
"Hello, I'm Amee." I said, my voice slightly breathless. He cleared his throat and spoke for the first time.
"Hello Amee. I am Golau." He said. Holy motherfucker. His voice was deep and rumbled. So sexy. It sliced me from inside and I felt a nice warmth spread through me. My breathing hitched slightly.
I held out my hand for him to shake. The moment he touched my hand sparks flew. Literally. Small sparks flew and pleasant shivers ran up my arms. I wanted more than a handshake. Oh, I wanted much, much more. I heard gasps come from my family, but I didn't care. I just kept looking in his golden eyes flashed with many emotions. Astonishment, disbelief, joy, wonder, awe, and ...love? Wow. His long, messy hair flopped in his eyes and almost on instinct, I brushed it away slowly. My hand stopped on his cheek and he leaned into my touch. I felt like the most natural thing in the world. His skin was very warm and soft under my hand. His eyes closed and he let out a purr like sigh, seeming content with my touch.
The moment broke when I heard five excited squeals behind me. My mother, aunt, sisters, and Lili were bouncing up and down squealing. My father, uncle, brothers, and cousins looked at us with their eyes wide and mouths open. My father was the first to speak.
"Well, that was quick." He said. His words confused me but I brushed it off. My mother was bouncing up and down and squealing the loudest. "This is wondrous! So soon, but so wondrous! Oh I am so happy for you daughter!" She said.
Lili ran up to me and hugged me. "We will be like sisters! Oh yes, we will be very close!" She said.
My sisters and my aunt came up. "Congratulations sweety! I know none of this makes sense, but it will soon, I promise!" Her eyes were bright with delight. My sisters came up lastly.
"You are a very lucky lady! We are overjoyed for you sister!" Edau said. They gave me hugs. I turned to Golau. He looked at me with something more than love. He wrapped his arms around me and I gasped. Pleasant shivers ran down me in waves. I relaxed in his hold immediately. He was home. He was my rock. He is mine.
He put his head in my neck and ran his nose along my collar bone. He inhaled deeply, like his sister had. He shuttered slightly. His lips ran along my shoulder slightly. "Mine." He whispered blissfully. That one work made desire wash over me. He breathed in again and stiffened slightly.
Austin interrupted and killed the moment. "Ok! Too much PDA for me thank you!" He said. I turned to glare at him and found he had his hands over his eyes. "Why does this always happen to me?!" He said. Oh shit...
My uncle looked at him. "What do you mean 'always happens to me'?" He asked. He took his hands from his eyes and looked at me. He mouthed 'sorry'. I was going to kill him!
"Please answer the question Austin." My father pressed.
"Dad?" He looked at my uncle. "You remember Tony right?" He asked. Tony was my ex. My brother saw us making out in the kitchen one night. All the males in the room stiffened, mostly Golau.
My uncle nodded. "Well, I ,uh, came home from soccer practice one day and you and mom weren't home. I, um, well, saw Amee in the kitchen with Tony, and well they were um..." He trailed off. My uncle turned around to look at me. I grinned sheepishly.
"What did I say about having your boyfriends over if we were not home?" He said, scarily calm.
I looked at Austin. He looked scared. "You better run, boy." He took off and I chased him upstairs. I had been on the track team, so I was a decent runner. He ran in his room and I tackled him to the floor. He was scared to death.
I smiled at him evilly. "Now I'm going to say this one time." My voice was very scary and he gulped loudly. "You dare give them details as to what you saw," I heard the door open. "and I will rip out your eyes, shove them down your throat, just so you can see me rip open your stomach. Got it little brother?" I asked. He nodded and I got off him. I saw everybody staring at me. I kissed Austin on the forehead. "Love you!" I said in an overly cheerful voice.
I walked out of the room with everybody following me silently...
