I know what you're thinking,
"Why don't you just tell everyone what you saw," or "just go to the police!"
It's not that simple. The last person that went to the police, got threatened and promised protection from the SPD, but were later found in a ditch, cut into little pieces. The problem about this is, the person they snitched on was their own father, but he was taken in. So who could have done it? Well I don't know either.
What I've witnessed, and what you've witnessed, has to be kept a secret. Not only for our safety, but also for the people around you. Friends, family, enemies, they could all end up missing, by that I mean dead. The most horrible death you could think of. Drowning, burned alive, suffocation, getting chopped into the meat from fast food restaurants.
Everything you witness in this town is forever yours. No one needs to find out. Don't go to the cops. Don't tell your close friends, and don't tell your family. It's on you to protect them now. This town may be small, but it's got some big ass balls.
I read the letter from my locker, I'm honestly confused. I just transferred schools, did they even mean to put the letter in my locker? I folded the letter up and stuck it in my back pocket, and as I started walking down the hall to find room E9, my last class. I felt someone watching me. I turned around and there was a girl, she's tall with brown hair and blue tips. I ignored it and found my way to class, sitting in the back row.
Not too long after, the same girl walked into the class, planting a seat next to me.
"I see you got my letter," she whispered.
I nodded, not knowing how else to respond. Why did she give me the letter? She doesn't even know me?
"Listen," she leaned closer to me, whispering, "there's something seriously wrong with this town, and I need someone to find out what's going on with me. I can't do it alone."
I just stared at her, confused. I bit my lip, "I think you might have the wro-"
She cut me off, "You're the new kid right?"
I nod. "Yeah, bu-"
"You're the one I picked. Everyone else is too chicken shit."
I sat there, pondering. I mean, it is my first day, this could be my chance to make a friend already. Could it actually be that bad? What's the worst that could happen?
I look over at her, "Okay, I'll do it."
She smiled, "Great. Meet me by the gate at 3:00 sharp. I'll get you more information on what we're doing then."
I nod. "I'll see you there."
