Lily's POV:
"Lily , you okay love?" Liam whispered while rubbing circles on my back.
"I'm fine" I mumbled and took a sip of my beer , by now I could say that I was completely wasted. I feel guilty for being rude to Kaoutar when she said goodbye , it's not like I don't like her , I just wasn't in the mood to talk nor say good bye to someone.
I still can't believe that Luke took that bitch's side and called me a bitch , yes we call each other names but jokingly , Luke seemed angry and so deffensive over Paige , he yelled at me -aka- his best friend because I got into a fight with that skank. Well , not a real fight but yeah.
*flashback*
"Isn't that Luke?" Liam asked pointing to the couple walking in and I nodded. "Who's that girl with him?" He asked again.
"Oh , it's 'Pooh'" I replied sarcasticly and Liam gave me a confused look. "I meant Paige , she's his new best friend for all I know" I stated and Liam replied with an "Oh".
I kept my gaze on the two ,Luke turned and made eye contact with me so I smiled and waved at him . The girl , I assumed was Paige was actually pretty , white , tall with short brown hair and big blue eyes. Luke and Paige walked towards us.
"Hey , Lilith" Luke said hugging me .
"Hi , Lucas" I replied nudging his hip with mine .
"Hey Luke , er I'm gonna go talk to Niall , I'll be back in a few" Liam announced and disapeared in the crowd of people.
I noticed Paige still standing there linking her arm with Luke's.
"I'm Lily" I introduced myself and the girl smiled at me.
"I heard alot about you , I'm Paige by the way" She spoke and I hoped that she hasn't because her voice was annoying .
"We are going to dance , see ya around baby" Luke said kissing my cheek .
"Okay have fun , love you" I grinned at him widely then kissed his cheek as well.
When I turned to give Paige a smile I found her glaring at me , and if looks could kill I'd be dead by now.
"What was that?" I heard a voice say and when I turned I found Liam furrowing his eyebrows.I didn't see him when he came back.
"I did not like that girl , not a tiny bit" I confessed.
"Are you jealous?" The boy smirked down at me and I rolled my eyes.
"No" I replied blankly. Why would I be jealous anyways? It's just Luke trying to get with a girl , nothing new .
Liam and I hung out for a good hour and well , drank a little bit. I don't normaly drink but tonight I felt like getting wasted , like Ashton always says YOLO.
I made my way to the toilets so I could fix my make up while Liam went to get us more beer. I
tried to open the bathroom door but suddenly I felt someone's grip on my wrist and I heard that -Oh-so-annoying- voice.
"Hey there Lily Boo" Paige spoke and I looked at her annoyingly and told her to let go of me which she did.
"Hi" I said rolling my eyes once again.
"I wanna talk to you , darling" She traced her finger along my cheek and I found that gesture quite creepy and disgusting. The fuck was going on.
"First of all get your finger off of me " I spoke and slapped her finger away.
"And What about?" I asked furrowing my eyebrows . I just met the girl so what could possibly be the topic we're going to talk about.
"Luke" She said giving me a fake smile. Luke? Oh , I should've guessed.
"Yeah..?" I nodded signaling her to go on.
"Stay away from him" She spat. Wait , what? Stay away from Luke? Before I could control myself a laugh escaped my mouth.
"What?" She looked at me confused.
"Seriously? You want me to stay away from Luke?" I asked chuckling. This makes no sense.
"Yes" She replied like it was the most obvious thing in the world. Okay .
"Okay , so now you're saying that I should stay away from my best friend? What kind of jokes is this?" I giggled.
"He is mine , stay away from him" She raised her voice.
"He's my best friend?" My statement came out more of a question.
"It doesn't seem like it" She grabbed my wrists again .
"Let go of me , you're hurting me" I felt her nails digging into my skin.
"He always seems to talk about you and go all heart eyes when I ask him about you so stay.away.from.him" She said through gritted teeth then let go of my wrists.
I rolled my sleeves up to find red marks on my wrists. "Look what you did , you bitch!" I yelled and she looked down at my wrists.
"You deserved it" She smirked and left , leaving me confused. What was that? I thought.
He talks about me alot? Well of course he does because a)we live together b)we've known each other for ages c) I'm his damn best friend. But what she said about how he goes all heart eyes when he hears my name was absolutely not true , I'm pretty sure of that.
I rushed down the stairs and went straight to the living room then sat on the sofa, I looked for Liam or Luke but couldn't find them. Then I heard Luke's voice calling my name. I saw him making his way through the crowd of people , an angry look on his face.
"Lily" He said standing in front of me , his face red and his eyes a deep shade of blue, then I noticed Paige standing behind him smirking.
"Luke" I tried to hug him but he took a step back and gave me a look.
"Why have you done that?" He asked gesturing to Paige's wrists. I looked down to her wrists to find red marks on them. Wait , what the fuck?
"What?" I asked in disbelief. Was he implaying that I was the one who did that? I looked over at Paige to find her crying.
'Hold the fuck up , I wasn't the one who did that to you , oh god Luke don't belive her" I explained.
"Stop it Lily , Paige here told me everything. I just can't believe you did this to her" Luke shook his head.
"I.HAVEN'T.DONE.ANYTHING" I yelled and Luke seemed taken aback. People now were looking at us but I couldn't care less.
"Yes you did" Paige finally spoke.
"Oh c'mon , cut the act" I laughed fakely.
"I'm not acting , you told me to stay away from Luke then hurt me" She lied , faking tears and Luke glared at me.
"Okay , listen here you bitch , you and I both know that none of that happened so shut the fuck up before I chop your head off" I gave her the 'got-it-?' look.
"Stop acting like a bitch , dammit Lily" Luke bickered. I stared at him in disbelief.
"Why'd you hurt her , she's done nothing to you" He added and Paige smirked. I was now so fed up with him.
"You know what? Go fuck yourself" I yelled and walked off , I heard him calling my name and I screamed "SUCK MY ASS!" Then went outta the house and sat in the backyard.
After a few seconds Liam came and sat next to me to comfort me.
*end of flashback*
"Lily" I heard a familiar voice , ugh.
"Oh , look who's here" I giggled drunkily.
"We need to talk" Luke kneeled down next to me. I looked at Liam and he gave me a soft smile.
"If you're here to talk about princess Pooh then fuck off" I pointed a finger at Luke.
"No , no no no" Luke took my hands in his and I shook them off.
"Talk" I ordered.
"Can you leave us for a moment?" Luke asked Liam who nodded and got up.
"Where is your girlfriend?" I asked Luke and looked at him , he was frowning and playing with his fingers , it means he was nervous.
"She's not my girlfriend , she went home by the way" He explained.
"Oh" was all I could say. I finished my beer and a hiccup escaped my mouth.
"You are drunk" Luke stated tugging a piece of hair behind my ear.
"Am I?" I narrowed my eyes at him.
"M-hm , we should take you home" He said and took the beer from my hand.
"Noooo" I slurred.
"Yes , now get your lazy ass up" Luke stood up and offered me a hand.
"No , fuck off!" I shrugged. But suddenly I felt his hands wrap around my waist and he left me up , now I was facing his ass.
"Nice butt you got here" I yelled.
"Shush" He shushed me and started walking.
"Put me the fuck down" I warned Luke.
"No" .
I felt tired so I gave up and let him take me to god knows where.
"Don't look at my ass" I spoke.
"I'm not" He replied , knowing him he's probably rolling his eyes. I heard him unlock his car and he seated me in the passanger seat. I put my head against the window feeling tired as hell.
He got into the driver's seat and turned to look at me.
"You know we have to talk about what happened back there" he said softly.
"No we don't" I pouted.
"We do if not now , tomorrow" He caressed my cheek.
"But you are mad at me" I chewed on my bottom lip.
"No , you are mad at me" , I just shrugged at what he said .
Luke started driving and we sat there with All Time Low playing softly in the background.
"Look , ice cream!" I pointed towards an ice cream parlor in the street.
"Lily , no" Luke scoffed.
"I want fucking ice cream , Lucas" I pouted once again.
"Okay" He put his hands up and I smiled.
He parked the car and got out , I got out as well and ran towards the parlor.
"Wait for me" he jogged after me and wrapped his long arms around my waist. I turned to look at him and our faces were dangerously close I could feel his hot breath on my face, he flickered his blue eyes from my eyes to my lips and I could feel my heart beating faster than ever , his eyes were now closed and he started to lean in and surprisinly I leaned in too , this felt so wrong yet so right.
Luke closed the gap between us and put his lips on me , his lips molded perfectly with mine , he cupped my cheek and I snaked my hands around his torso. My heart was beating fast and I felt butterflies in my stomach , wait it's Luke , my best friend this is just wrong.
I pulled away and looked at him to find him looking at me with a confused look.
"This.never.happened" I said and took a step back.
"B-b-.." Luke started and I cut him off.
"It never happened" I said once again and made my way back to the car not wanting to eat ice cream anymore.
"Lily" He said following behind.
"Luke , no just no , okay?" I yelled now sobering up a bit. I saw him run a hand through his hair making it messier.
"I'm sorry" He stated.
"Whatever , just forget about what happened back there , it meant nothing" I told him , I really hope that kiss won't make things awkward between us.
"Yeah okay , it was a mistake " He finally formed a full sentence. I nodded and got into the passanger seat.
It was a mistake , he was my best friend .
