Sometimes I love reading misinformed books of Naruto about Kekkei Genkais. So let's just see if your OC is a Mary-sue with their Kekkei Genkai you created.

And ya if you currently use a current Kekkei Genkai then none of this counts.
This is for the ones WHO created a Kekkei Genkai.
You'll start at 10 and you'll either go up or down with this score.
Add up the points and deduct if I tell you.
1) Kekkei Genkai is a combination of two chakra natures, a Dōjutsu, or a body morphed technique (add a point)
2) You can use telekinesis powers (Deduct a point)
3) You have side affects using these powers. (Migraines, death, time limit, nauseous, fainting, etc) (Add a point)
4) You create new abilities, chakra forms another senjutsu type like Mitsuki for body techniques, etc that isn't over powering or complex. (Add a point)
5) Not a Hidden Technique (Add a point)
6) You can stop/freeze time (Deduct a point)
7) You can blow people's minds up by looking at them. Or manipulate them. (Deduct a point)
8) Your OC is mistreated somehow because of their power, and others are curious of this special powers. (Add a point)
7) A clan background with the Kekkei Genkai's power and how to awaken it. (Add a point)
8) If it's a heritage ability passed down from generations that isn't a body morphed techniques or a Dōjutsu. (Deduct a point)
9) a healing Kekkei Genkai ability if anyone drinks your OCs blood if injured healing them completely. (This is a Hidden Technique) (Deduct a point)
10) Can you read the minds of others? See people's memories? (Deduct a point UNLESS it's a Dōjutsu ability but has side affects)
Okay fellow people!
Here we go for the results.
Anything between 4-5 is really bad. That means you need to get more creative with your OC and research! And that means your OC is in fact a Mary-sue.
Anything between 6-7 means you're grasping the definition of a Kekkei Genkai but not really. Your OC is a Mary-sue sadly.
Anything between a 7-8 means that you know what a Kekkei Genkai is but you're confusing yourself with Hidden Technique briefly. Your OC is borderline Mary-sue.
Anything between 9-10 means you actually know how to create a Kekkei Genkai and the uses. Barely a Mary-sue since the powers are probably extensive.
Anything above a 10 means you are a master at creating a Kekkei Genkai! Yayyyy for you! Your OC is not a Mary-sue!!
